Salutation
Who I am is of no great consequence. I am a traveler of the Way. Having only seen a glimpse of the great and terrible storm that lingers around us, I can help anyone who wishes my help; all one need to do is ask. Every so often, the winds will change this message giving a new insight on the misfortune that lingers in days to come in our departure from the harbor we commence our voyage.
Some will not understand wisdom that hides in these words, for them I must say in time it all become clear. To understand these words one must have patients, experience, an open mind, and a willingness to learn. If you have these traits (in one form or another), and desire these words of wisdom, then ask away.
Love my friends, is a cherished treasure. Those who find in it purest form, will desirer nothing else. Those who do not will have an emptiness that the world can never fill.
*************************************************
We all will love something in our time, it is inevitable. However whether we chose to act upon that love is another, we can let it go by as it passes in the river of life, or we can pluck it out when it comes into reach.
Furthermore what we love is also is up to us. Whether we chose to love our mates/partners or what they can do for us, money, power, fame, or whatever else we worship is entirely up to us.
Since the dawn of time, weâ??ve all sought to understand it, we can never fully grasp the power of it, but here are some people who have tried help us better comprehend the Supremacy of our Heart.
"You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams." Dr. Seuss
"Love me when I least deserve it, because that's when I really need it." Swedish Proverb
"Most people have a harder time letting themselves love than finding someone to love them." Bill Russell
"Since love grows within you, so beauty grows. For love is the beauty of the soul." Saint Augustine
"Love comes when manipulation stops; when you think more about the other person than about his or her reactions to you. When you dare to reveal yourself fully. When you dare to be vulnerable."
Dr. Joyce Brothers

Alright, I have a question about being popular.
Well, not exactly. You see, I'm not obsessed and crazed and having my whole life devoted to becoming popular. Its just, the popular people are all so out-going and aren't afraid to do anything and they speak their minds. How do I do this? I'm so shy in real life, but I'm actually out-going online. But in real life its just like, "woah, who's that girl? She's so shy." nobody knows me.
How do I improve this? I just wish I could be out-going and be my real self without being so scared all the time.
Please help? (link)
|
I knew a kid who was just like that, he spent his entire most of his life trying to become “popular” and liked. He eventually became “popular”
The point I want to stress is that he discover the secret.
1) he was Persistence
2) he liked himself and didn’t care what everyone else though.
3) He was friendly to everyone (or at lest almost everyone)
4) He got involved in school actives and stuff
What helped him to overcome his fear of people; he took up writing, and later drama. He learned to express himself. And that help.
I hope this helps you. let me know if it does.
If u like more info on the subject just drop a line.
Best of luck to you.

A lot of my friends are very religious, and thus have many different beliefs (religiously, politically, and otherwise) than I do. Lets just say I cried on November 3rd last year (the day after), and they pretty much jumped for joy. Sometimes when I make a comment about issues that are happening in the world they look at me oddly, like I'm a complete idiot or something. They enjoy listening to Ashlee Simpson and the like while I listen to classic rock from the 60's and 70's. In the past this hasn't bothered me much, but lately its been nagging at me a lot. Don't get me wrong. I love my friends to bits, they're the nicest people and so fun to be around, but is it possible to love them as people and completely disregard how different their mentality is from you? Do your beliefs and interests dictate who you are as a person?
(Sorry if this question doesn't make much sense.) (link)
|
To answer your first question about to love them as people regardless of their view on life or you, it is possible for that to love someone in such circumstance; it is called “unconditional love”. It is love that regardless of what happens to someone you will always care for them. You see in really good friends and good parents. It is like when a child does something stupid to either in ruining his/her’s life or in less scale, but the parent still loves them. They may not approve of the action of them but they still care for them.
I knew of an old lady got in an accident because of the careless actions of a young man who she had never before meet. She had to go through so much therapy to recover, when the young man was on trail he asked the old lady to forgive him, and she just like that.
That is a fine example of “unconditional love”.
To answer your second question is a little more difficult. Are beliefs and interests do not dictate who we are, HOWEVER (this is why it is difficult), what we believe and are in to (our interests) are just a PART of “who we are” personally.
I will give an example.
In the story of Les Miserables, the main character, Jean Valjean, steals a loft of bread. He believed that it was ok to steal to survive, so his actions reflected his belief, however who he really was he himself didn’t know till much later in the story. Jean Valjean, at the end was consider a man who devoted his life to others, but the first sign that was who he really was came at the very beginning of the story, the reason why he stole the loft of bread was to feed his sister’s child! Not himself.
To know who we are, we must dig deep within ourselves. Their lives the root of why we do some of the things we do.
Well I hope this helps/ let me know if it did.
Best of luck to you

Does anybody know atleast 5 unusual halloween customs from different countries around the world? Example countries: mexico, australia, africa... (link)
|
Customs
~ Well in ancient Egypt they put food out on the tables so the spirit of their dead loved ones can come back and feast with the living
~ In MEXICO (not Spain); they go have a meal (dinner or late night snack) in the cemetery at night. They place an item of significant value to a deceased friend or family members.
~ In Celtic times; those who were unattached with someone (not married or dating as it later developed) would attempt to take a bite out of an apple bobbing in a pail of water, or suspended on a string. The first person to do so was believed to leave that status during the next year (the Celtic’s believed the New Year begun at this that time, Nov. 1st.)
~ In England the do Soul Cakes, if you like the recipe go to .............................
http://www.emsb.qc.ca/michelangelo/works/halloween/halloween.html ......................
~ the Celts wore costumes, typically consisting of animal heads and skins, and attempted to tell each other's fortunes.

All right
My friend who does a lot of stuff like that, can most-likely help u the best, he is really good. I had him give this advice.
sg: Ok here are some good ideas, for dancing that style. But I must ask you to read ALL the directions and Notes BEFORE you try them out.
I. “The Egyptian Spin”
This is a very easy move, but it is great for solos or group in a line. Also it is good intro to other more complex moves.
You’ll just need a Good pair of Shoes for this move.
1) start out in the basic stance (feet spread out should length apart)
2) bring your hands together in “Praying” position (left hand touching right hand in a mirror image of each other) and bring your arms down till they are about parallel with the floor
3) Now your left hand pushes back on the right, adjust hips accordingly till you can go any further.
4) Push the left hand with your right hard so that it switches sides while your right foot is barely off the floor, your body will want to continue to go, so let it.
Note; ideally you will spin about 360 degrees (or a complete circle)
5) You are now done, you may repeat doing the same side or the opposite (just switch the left for the right and right for the left in the directions above) or go into a bigger move.
6) This only for more than one person. If in a group Line up facing the audience , the person at the beginning of the line, will start it off, when he/she hits about then 180 degree (or halfway done on the spin) the second person next to him/her will begin his/her “Egyptian Spin” and so on and so forth. It will make a wave effect and is cool in performances.
Note: when doing the move, always stay focus because you can easily become disoriented and dizzy, and could fall or mess causing injury.
7)
II. “Mr. Smith”
This is a cool move and very easy to do;
You will need good balance, and a firm stance (feet place to the floor)
1) start of with your feet spread out to about shoulder length, and make sure your weight is evenly distributed between the two legs. You know if you are doing it right, if you have a friend, just push you, if you don’t move that much then it is ok.
2) Next shift your weight to the right side, lean back a little throw your right arm back follow by your left. your right foot should point out from your side, and your left pointing out from your front (forming a “L” Shape)
Note; don’t do to much on the arms. Your right arm should just go back like you would do on a backstroke; your left arm should follow the same direction on the SAME SIDE. And your hips will follow the movements of your arms.
3) Now lift your left leg up so your knee and upper leg will be (or close to) parallel, let your left leg follow your hips in the same motion.
Note; keep your Right foot firm on ground (because your going to put all your weight on that leg).
4) Once your left leg goes about 90 degrees (or about where your right foot is), lift your right leg up (same as you did for the left leg) and spin till about a 270 degree,
5) now you should face be facing the same direction and stance you started out in.
Note: it is a lot easier than it looks and sounds. Also it doesn’t matter where your left foot touches the ground, because your hips will give you the momentum to spin the rest of the way
6) And your finish; now just move on to the next move or repeat. There are more complex versions of it but till you fell comfortable with this one, I wont share them just yet. Have fun.
Well Those are just a few dance moves I know and can share. I have some helpful tips for you as well.
-drink plenty of water; especially 24 hours before you do your dancing. (it keeps your muscle hydrated and you are less likely to pull a muscle or worst).
-stretch often
-eat right, take care of your body, no drugs or alcohol.
-stay on beat (it looks beater when you do the moves to the music instead of just doing them.
-have fun.
I hope this helps out; if you like to know more e-mail me at sg272000@yahoo.com or you can just say how it turns out.

I'm 13/f in the 8th grade.
Why do boys always beat each other up? Every morning, there's always at least two boys beating each other up in the hallway or by the lockers. For example, this morning this guy stole another guy's backpack and tied a piece of twine to it, letting it swing over the balcony. The kid who owned the backpack got really angry, and the one who stole the backpack jumped on top of him and tried to throttle him. Why does this happen? Is it hormones, or are the boys in our school just really violent? (link)
|
well there are many reasons why guys would fight each other.
here are some are a few common one
- Guys have this thing in their systems that makes them aggressive in nature. so it is "natural that they would try to burn that aggressive ness in fighting each other.
- Some guys do it to prove they are the best, the strongest, whatever, and someone wants to take that title form them.
- Sometimes, some guys would fight, then the loser's friends would challenge the winner, then the loser of that fight would have friends to challenges the winner, and it keeps on going.
I hope it helps you out, don't worry, that is common in that young stage of their life, when they get older, and more mature, they will most-likely change

why do people in there teens who arent even married yet want to have sex, like when your older and you want to get married it wont come in handy to tell him/her that your not a virgin so my questions are
1) why do people in there teens have sex
2) why do GUYS like looking at porn
3) (no affence) but if your engaged or w/e wouldn't that just disguss the guy/girl that your not a virgin
so i dont get it (link)
|
Very good Questions my friend.
1) teen tend to participate in premarital Sex because they are trying find love they so desperately trying to find love, something they crave but don't get at home. Think about who tend to be the once to do that sort of thing tend to have parents who don't really care about their children.
2) same as answer, they think that Porn will show them how to get love, but like all Drugs, Porn gives nothing but misery and despair in the long run.
3) absolutely; it great you share the same opinion as so many others I have met recently
Well I hope this helps; let me know if it does

ok im 16teen and a virgin in every way and i want to know if thats a turn off. also is it an turn off if i masterbate (link)
|
being a virgin nothing to be a shame about, especially now in your teens. I have a higher respect 4 those who keep themselves Moral.
and masturbate is a big turn off, Buddha once said "you are what you think"
so by you Masturbating, all too often it sign you can’t control your own body.
Well I hope this helps you out.

I really want to die. Really badly. I tried to kill myself but i chickend out. I'm not afraid of death.. I'm looking forward to it. I just can't handle life. My body is breaking up. I feel depressed and find the urge just to die. I don't understand why ssomeone can just take my life away. I'm alive and I want to die and there's dieing people that want to live. I don't understand why god just cant give those people a life and take mine away.. I hate myself so much.. I'm having a lot of problems now.. I'm 13, F. (link)
|
trust me, I know what it like to feel like death is better than death, however I must warn you, by taking your life, you'll miss out on all the joys of life. you are young; things can turn around anytime for you.
Now I have a questions I would like you to answer yourself,
Why is life so bad? why is it you hate life, and what makes you certain that death can make it better?
I want you seriously think about those questions.
Believe me, I didn’t what happen to me, but I could do nothing to change that, however I did find a way to easy the pain for me, by helping people who are lost, confused as I was, and how you seem to be right now. I’ve helped many people see the world differently, showing there is still good in this world.
As in Tolken’s Lord of the Rings, Frodo though like you at time, when all seem to go wrong, it took his friend Sam to bring him to his senses, that their was still “good in the world, and it’s worth fight for” don’t throw your life away feeling sorry for yourself, and take it for a meaningless few years of your life.
I will close with the words given to a man, who suffered greatly. “…all these have you suffered shall be you but a small moment…” and went on to say that “all of these shall give you experience and be for you own good”
I know that the future looks dark, but remember even the darkest of nights must give way to the day, coldest winter must give way to the new spring.
I have something that you should see; Tomorrow (or when ever it is convent; just make sure it is soon), I want you to get up before the sun is up, and watch the sunrise, then I want you to write down what you feel.
I hope this helps you out/let me if it did, and if I can help anyway else.
Bets of luck, may you find what you are looking for, and the much waited dawn will rise within you.

Hello...this is a question for guys to answer but girls are welcome to answer the other question i ask.
okie dokie...
GUYS: do you think it makes us, girls, feel good about our selfs when you call hott to an extended degree?...(example: yesterday this guy YELLED from across the street at my friend(13/f) "turn down the AC cuz its getting hott in here".)
GIRLS: do you apperciate (sp?) it when you are called hott (like the example above) by your boyfriend or another guy?
will rate for good answers
1s for dumbass/smartass/stupid/iggnorant answers (link)
|
in my personal opinion; I believe that when a guy keep saying stuff like that, most of the time (for most guys) r trying to "Butter up" the girls. this is ether doe to lack of confidence in themselves or being young, naive, and not knowing the proper way of treating women.
in my opinion also that when guys say that all the time to a lot of girls at the same time, it soon losses meaning.
I'm not saying there is anything wrong with it, but in obsessiveness, it can be more harmful, that fun. I personally don't believe Guys fully understand all that it can do to some one.
I hope this helps/ let me know if i did

PS Thanks 4 asking such a great question.

can any one help me i need to sound posh rich ya know for a play i cant find anything on the internet helpppppppppppp (link)
|
Well if you want to sound posh rich person, talk, as well as walk, stand, sit, and all other posses. when your body acts the part the voice can easy find the right voice.
also some tip some on the voice you desire.
(Keep in mind that it will also depend on were your character is from, but 4 the most part these are standard “rich folks)
1) Talk slowly; you are the world, and everyone revolves around.
2) Exaggerate certain syllables
3) If you are guy, try a low voice (but not too low), the voice should be
4) Smile (unless it is against the character).
5) Have some picked out, and ask your director what sounds best.
6) Listen to (if possible) to the movie(s), The Scarlet Pimpernel, Aladdin (the part were the prince pushes Aladdin in the dirt in the beginning of the movie), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secretes, or any other film that you know that has the type of voice you’re looking for.
I hope this helps u out. Let me know if it does.

I'm relatively new here and I quite enjoy visiting this web site, but I can't get over the fact that at least half of these people could not form a coherent sentence with decent spelling to save their lives!
What can be done to help everyone realize that proper grammar and spelling is the key to communication, which, in turn, is the key to not stumbling around blindly in life? I really do fear for our generation sometimes. (link)
|
I think that in the case of the cyber-world, such grammar is different. Online has its own language.
People try to use shortcuts in typing, so they can increase their typing speed and become more efficient at it.
However I do agree with what has been said on the importance of good grammar, but trying to correct the grammar issue on the web is like trying to shave a lion, not impossible but highly improbable.
I hope this helps you out.

My friend just broke up with her boyfriend, and he happens to be one of my really good friends. For the past couple of weeks shes been treating him like dirt and she even told him that she had him rapped around her finger! I thought that was really mean of her. Anyways, they broke up today and now he is sooo sad. He loved her so much and I don't know what to say to him. He's so upset. What do I tell him? I keep telling him it's not his fault but he's just like ugh =(. (link)
|
The Best thing to do for you to do is to tell him the truth. Tell him everything you just told me. True he is sad right now, but if you fell he is being used, how will he fell when he finds out? And the fact his friend knew and said nothing! No it is better to learn form a friend about such things then from someone else.
I hope this helps.
Let me know if it does.
Best of luck
