when u r birth control it doesn't totally mean u can't get pregent. but u should have the guy still wear a condom cuz u can still get std's and it is always safer. *hope i helped, please rate me* *STEPHANIE* ]
Hey there. From my experience, it's a good idea if your really worried. The first month your on it would be a good idea to be extra safe, but really all you need to do is wear a condom on the first week of your birth control package (when the dosage is the lowest and your ovulating.) But also, if the guy has had sex before, wear a condom just in case of STD's and such ]
well yes because a birth control isn't always effective, and birth controls only protect you from pregnaces not STD's, and condom's do both. you should diffintly wear a condom even if your on birth control ]
First of all, you're showing that you're really level-headed by asking this. You seem very mature and responsible.
Second of all, if you're going to take that step and have sex, you need to do the following things:
-Both of you get an STD test (even if it's your first time). Some diseases are sexually transmitted, but you can also get them in other ways (in other words, your guy can be a virgin, but still have an STD -- even if it's herpes that he transmitted from his mouth to his genitals).
-You're on birth control. Awesome.
-Yes, you need to wear a condom. Birth control is only so effective, and you can still get STD's even if you're on birth control. ]
me, i think they should juss in case but they dont really need to . because that wut the control is for.... ]
well.. unless ur ready for the possibility of prgnancy then yea. if he doesn't wear the condom then you can get pregnant. std's....etc. so yea i would just to be safe. ]
Yes They do... Just because your on birth control doesnt mean that you still cant get pregnant or even catch some kind of disease.. Be care ful.. and always always make sure he keeps it wrapped up... ]
Birth controll doesnt always work so if you dont want to be extra carefull on not getting pregnant use a condom as well, and they also help from preventing STD's ]
No, unless you want STD's.
-xXoBrianna ]
Definately yes. Birth control does nothing to protect against STDs, so you definately need to wear a condom, or have the guy wear a condom. Also, birth control is not always effective for many different reasons.
Go talk to your doctor about this subject more. ]
Yea the guy should definatly wear a condom i mean its not likely you',ll get pregnant but there is always that chance. And birth control cant stop you from getting STD's.hope i helped. ]
yes because there is still a risk of catching a STI. ]
Well the guy doesn't need to wear a condom but if you wanna be safer, then he should. Birth control doesn't prevent STD's so a guy should wear a condom to be safe. Hope I helped :) ]
Birth control is not effective right away, nor does it work if the girl is on certain types of medication. If the girl is on the Pill, she'll want to make sure she is taking it at the same time every day.
Those things aside, no method of pregnancy prevention is 100% effective. I would recommend two forms of protection - I think it is smart to have your boyfriend wear a condom.
In addition, only a condom can give you some protection against sexually transmitted diseases. Such diseases can render you infertile, be untreatable, or kill you. If you want to be the safest you can while having sex, a condom is a must. ]
Birth control does not protect against STD's, so it is definitely safer to use a condom. ]
Ok there is never a safe way to have sex... a condom just makes it a little bit safer... A guy and a girl can have sex without a condom while she is on birth control but there still is a chance that she can get prego. So be careful! Good luck

hope i helped ]
yahh because birth control isnt like 100% always goin to work ]
A guy doesn't really NEED to but I think it's better to be safe than sorry. So if you do have sex and are on the birth control just have the guy wear a condom...in case. :) ]
He doesn't have to.. a guy never HAS to wear a condom.. but he ALWAYS should ]
thats prolly most safe...but i guess its ok if u dont juss not all the time
*jesikuh ]
unless you didn't take your medication. ]
The birth control will keep you from getting pregnant, but condoms are the only way to prevent STDs. Unless you know 100% that your partner doesn't have anything you don't want to catch, then I suggest using a condom. Also, birth control isn't a 100% effective, and neither are condoms, but when used together, the chance of getting pregnant is very very small, smaller than either one by itself. ]
i think it woldn't hurt, i mean it would b e agood idea to be extra protected. ]
to me condoms would be a good idea to use. theres plenty of reasons why though. 1. being that u can make sure that u decrease the chance of getting an STD 2. there is a small chance that birth control dont work. nothings a 100% sure. so it can eliminate that one small chance of getting pregnant...hope i helped!! ]
If you want to be extra safe like if the pill doesnt work the condom will..or the other way around...then you should use both..but a girl on the muary show(lol) got pregnant using both things so its not 100% but sure.. ]
if you are worried about the possiblity of disease trasnmission, or that birthcontrol isn't 100% effective, then yes. If you're willing to take the risk that the birth control will work (I know 2 women who were on the pill and got pregnant), and you don't have to worry about STD's... then that's your call. ]
