Hey Everyone :) I'm Kate and a level 2 mod on here. I've had this account since July 2004, so I've been on here since I was 13! Wow ... crazy for me to think how long ago that was. I will admit I don't check in as often as I once did, but being away at college, being in a sorority, and having a job when I'm not at school is very time consuming. I still try to help out as much as possible, and if you send me a question I WILL answer it. This site helped me a LOT when I was in high school and had a lot of questions, and I'm here to help anyone who needs it :) Feel free to write in my forum or send me a question any time!

ok, here's the chant

Little Sally Walker walking down the street
she didn't know what to do so she stopped in front of me and said hey gurl do ur thing do ur thing and switch

Ok, everybody forms a circle, and 1t starts off the birthday girl, and once they get to the point in the chant that goes Stopped in front of ME, you stop. Then whoever your facing does the next part with you

when they say do your thing, you and that person do a lil dance move, and when they say switch the 1st time, you switch places so that grl gets in the circle, and u stand where she was

then the second time they say switch she starts to go around the circle, and you guys chant

but instead of saying sally walker, you say her name

like little mary schadler walking down the street
she didn't know what to do so she stopped in front of me and said....

then you keep going till you guys get bored i guess, or if your just walkin around your nayberhood or w/e, u can sing it

here's how the chanting part goes

ok, in october i'm going to be 13 and I want to have a really memorable party to mark me being a teenager. Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do? It can be anything as long as it's suited to that time of year (october.) Thanks! :)

lets see, if it's towards the end of the month, like anywhere between the 28th and 31st, you could start off trick or treating (unless none of you do that anymore) and then have a halloween/birthday party, on the 31st. or just have the halloween/birthday party on like the 30th

Or if it's in the begining or middle, then here's what I have

Music, pizza, cake Ice cream

if your aloud to have a boi/grl, then do so

But invite as many people as your mom will let (or your dad, or whoever you live with) If you don't care, or your parents don't care, you can do spin the bottle, truth or dare, or other games you can think of

If it's an all grl thing, here are the things we did for mine.(my b-day is Nov) (i live in the south, so it wasn't that cold)

Little Sally Walker (if you don't know, then ask in the inbox or something)
we did twister moves
walked around my nayberhood
ding dong ditch (to people we knew, and that we knew wouldn't get too upset)
we did silly string in my front yard
we spray painted out hair silly colors (you can get this and silly string for like a dollar, or 5 at wal*mart)

we danced to music

You can also do a lot of this stuff with guys

If your into sports, you can have a huge whatever game, or divide all the guests into 2, and play a HUGE game of capture the flag!

is it alright to wear a tampon during cheer practice?...are tampons supposed to stick out like 2 centimeters?...and well i was @ cheer practice, and we were doin jumping jacks..and after wards..i didnt fil it in me any more!..and i found out that i was juss layin in my panties!..can u help?!

yea, as long as you don't keep it in too long.

No, the only thing that should stick out is the string

You shouldn't feel it at all

And either it was too small or you put it in wrong

If it was too small, then get a larger one, and if it was the largest, then you weren't ment to wear tampons, belive it or not, some people just can't wear them

hey..i'm headed to High School in a week..9th grade..in a few advanced classes..bio,geometry..spansish..etc..anyways..
what are some things that are a must have for high school? like as far as notebooks,folders..?stuff like that..
also..i'm very unorganized when it comes to my school papers and such..so plz keep that in mind when thinking of things i should buy..

okay, the easiest thing is seperate binders for each class. It is lighter to just have one huge three ring binder, but I have a class that requires a seperate one, so it's easier on me. Your lucky that you haven't started yet. I started high school on the 9th of August. But really, If you're a girl make sure you always have a tampon or pad (unless you haven't started... I haven't yet, but I bring them just incase, and for friends) Composition books, that way when you're writing notes, you won't lose the papers, and they hopefully won't rip out

You'll need lots of paper

And a Jansport book bag is the best because they hold a lot of stuff. Thats not what I use, but only because they were sold out

I don't know about you, but at my school you have to sign up if you want a locker, and it's the luck of a draw, I didn't get one, so I won't have one ALL YEAR, which sucks because my backpack has gotten really heavy, so if you get the chance to get a locker, and have time to go to it, then USE IT!!!!

thats about all i can think of for now. Good Luck, it's not as hard as you think. Most of the upperclassmen are nice, but some of them like sophmores can be mean because of what they went through their freshman year, but I like high school, it's way different then Middle school (junior High) and it's a lot of fun

One of my friends said that her parents thought people who attempted suicide or thought about killing them selves were crazy- and i said that i thought that to, and then my friend said that when people have depression they cant help it so they just kill them selves..i didnt believe it..but is it true that you cannot control ur self when ur depressed? i mean isnt there something u can do about it --HelP * i RaTe hIgH

well, if your depressed, then it's serious, so most likely depressed people will get those thoughts

I don't know how many times I wanted to kill myself, but i got throught it. There are many ways of dealing, just sometimes your feelings get the best of you. Think about this. You feel like nobody cares and you feel as if your life is worthless, you feel like there is NO reason whatsoever to live, what would you feel like doing? Depression sucks, and many people can't help their feelings, it is a terrible disease, and your friend it right on track, some people can help what they're doing, but some people can't, it depends how depressed a state they are in.

sort of, it's not really PMS, as that other person said (i didn't catch the name) it's just gettin back on track with your regular teenage hormones, it's still normal though!!

well, you can find the cutest clothes even bargain hunting.. Amazing huh?

Like if you have a goody's, they aren't really bargain, but they are GOOD prices, or like american eagle and aripostle are having sales here in NC. Split up the costs, you can probably get about 3 or 4 jeans/pants, and about 5-7 tops

Try asking some of my face columnists, like shannon, she's awesome with fashion and stuff, so are a few of the others :-)

This is more of an opinion question than an advice thing, but I figured I'd ask anyway...never hurts, right?

yup! atleast in my opinon, because a ring doesn't matter, atleast an engagement ring doesn't. Whats most important is the fact he loves you and wants to marry you!! And he did ask you so the ring doesn't really matter. As long as you have a ring when married, because without a ring when married, some people might hit on you, or ask you out or something lol jp!

depends when they broke up. If it wasn't too long ago, then maybe you should talk to her or wait, but if they broke up like a month ago, or even like a year ago, tell her what your going to do, then do it.

BECOMING OFF TOPIC I remember me and my friends all liked the same guy, so eventually one of us asked him out, if any of the couples didn't work out good we promised each other that we could all take out turn to see how it would work out, if it was just a bad relationship, then we waited a week, if sum1 really cared but then the relationship split we waited a month

most likely it's that they are either in the wrong way, or not far enough. If it's niether of those, then it's probably that your vagina isn't big enough. This might sound wierd, but some girls have vaginas that are to small for tampons, weird... but true. If thats the case then you would feel a lot of apin and t would be hard to get in and even harder to get out.

Okay me and me sis have started a band yet we dont own any instrument or know how to play. But i can feel it in my soul that im am destined to be great.i need to work up 170 dollars by next month or my guitar that is the cheapest one i could find will be sold. any suggestions to make money. i will try to rate you .

I'm sorry, but you'll have to hold of going to the mall and movies for a while

If they ask what you charge, then for babysitting if it's more then one kid or a tough kid to handle say 7$$ an hour

if it's 1 kid, and he/she is easy, say $5 an hour

When mowing, if you also trim and weedwack or w/e then go with anything from 15-30$$$ depending how big the lawn is

but really you should wait to start a band until you have the instruments, and atleast get good at playing

Probably because people around your age are starting to develop, or have already developed (I hope you're not anywhere between 10-12, because then you shouldn't be on this site) Well since you are most likely 13-15, I would say just that lots of your peers have them, and thats probably what SOME of the guys look at, which isn't totally true, it's pretty much 'peer pressure' (self conciousness) and Hormonal issues

I am a 13 year old white girl (almost 14). I am intrested in this black kid. some of my friends are ok with it but one of my best friends think i shouldnt like him because he is black. he is one of the nicest and sweetest people i know. i just dont understand why she cant see him for an amazing person and not just him being black. Okay, unless he's a bad guy(and you have already cleared up that he isn't) then there's nothing wrong, I'm a white girl, your age, and I think Usher and Will Smith are hotties, big deal, I also think this sophmore in my Algebra class is a cutie, he lives in my neighborhood and is good friends with my sister and I, he's black. I wouldn't ask my friends their approval for dating a guy. My friend is going with a guy that I don't approve of, but he's sweet and loving when it comes to her, so I have nothing to say, I mean I know the guy personally, but just because I don't find him boyfriend material doesn't mean she shouldn't date him.
I say if you like it, and the both of you want to get together go ahead, If you friend doesn't want to be your friend because of it, she isn't a true friend!!

can you get pregant 2 weeks before your period?

if you have sex, then you can get pregnant, there is no possible way to have sex and not still have a chance of getting pregnant

thought 2 weeks before you period is the safest way, as long as you also have the pill and a condom
