my parents only gave me 100 dollars to spend for school clothes. and i really need both pants and shirts any ideas on how to get alot of the stuff i want for that price. thx. much appreciated!!
S_C answered Monday August 16 2004, 4:54 pm: well, you can find the cutest clothes even bargain hunting.. Amazing huh?
Like if you have a goody's, they aren't really bargain, but they are GOOD prices, or like american eagle and aripostle are having sales here in NC. Split up the costs, you can probably get about 3 or 4 jeans/pants, and about 5-7 tops
Try asking some of my face columnists, like shannon, she's awesome with fashion and stuff, so are a few of the others :-) [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]
hi_im_belize answered Monday August 16 2004, 1:54 pm: ok well if i were you id go straight to this place by my house called style express. Its a cheap place to get cute stuff. None of its designer its usually all knock offs but they have fun jewelery and shirts. Those kinda stores are great also, ROSS! You can find some hot stuff at ross. I think the girl under me said, thrift stores which is exactly what i was thinking goodwill is awesome because there could be cheap stuff and there could be some rich persons old juicy sweat suit. Its all about looking and looking hard. Hope that helps. [ hi_im_belize's advice column | Ask hi_im_belize A Question ]

xO_sTePhIe_Ox answered Monday August 16 2004, 9:45 am: Hello =) I would suggest going to a re-sale shop called Plato's Closet. I don't know if it's near where you live, but they sell new and gently used TEEN clothes. Which means you can find some clothes from nice places for really cheap prices! I hope I helped... drop one in the inbox if you'd like :) [ xO_sTePhIe_Ox's advice column | Ask xO_sTePhIe_Ox A Question ]

advicequeen answered Monday August 16 2004, 12:03 am: A good idea would be to shop at inexpensive stores. Examples? Old Navy, Rave, Wal Mart, JC Penny etc. You can get some really great finds there without anyone knowing you even spent a single penny there.
Or, you could spice up your old clothes or new clothes with some craft books (you can get some GREAT do it yourself ideas at www.girlynation.com) and there are probably many other websites for do it yourself ideas and books!
Another idea would be to swap old clothes with friends. You can get GREAT clothes that way. It also is a good reason to have a sleepover, get together, etc.

xOchErrytWistOx answered Sunday August 15 2004, 11:22 pm: Hmm 100 dollars isn't that much, but you probably want to look in sales! Charlotte Russe was having a good sale when i went today, i got a top for 6.99. check target and department stores too! You could also try to ask your parents to give you some more money, if not try to get some like babysitting and stuff. Hope i helped!
