S_C answered Tuesday August 17 2004, 8:12 pm: okay, the easiest thing is seperate binders for each class. It is lighter to just have one huge three ring binder, but I have a class that requires a seperate one, so it's easier on me. Your lucky that you haven't started yet. I started high school on the 9th of August. But really, If you're a girl make sure you always have a tampon or pad (unless you haven't started... I haven't yet, but I bring them just incase, and for friends) Composition books, that way when you're writing notes, you won't lose the papers, and they hopefully won't rip out
You'll need lots of paper
And a Jansport book bag is the best because they hold a lot of stuff. Thats not what I use, but only because they were sold out
I don't know about you, but at my school you have to sign up if you want a locker, and it's the luck of a draw, I didn't get one, so I won't have one ALL YEAR, which sucks because my backpack has gotten really heavy, so if you get the chance to get a locker, and have time to go to it, then USE IT!!!!
thats about all i can think of for now. Good Luck, it's not as hard as you think. Most of the upperclassmen are nice, but some of them like sophmores can be mean because of what they went through their freshman year, but I like high school, it's way different then Middle school (junior High) and it's a lot of fun [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]

0rangeTape answered Sunday August 15 2004, 11:24 am: Im a very unorganized person too. Well i would get maybe 1 binder with a folder in it for each class just in case and paper and pens and pencils cuz you will need those but then i would wait till the 1st day of school cuz for one class you may need a seperate binder and and a notebook for taking notes or lab assignments and what not and then some classes you may not need anything and for those classes you can just keep them in the first binder you bought with the folders and stuff. thats how i do it and i always go supply shopping and come the first day i have to go back to get something for like 2 classes but then i dont know how your school is but i hope i helped some [ 0rangeTape's advice column | Ask 0rangeTape A Question ]

SwEeTeStSiN7 answered Sunday August 15 2004, 7:58 am: Hey girl! Im headed to 9th grade too! What I do and this keeps me organized is get a folder and a binder for each class. And each class will be a color like English red. So when you look for it in your locker you just look for the red stuff. Also to keep your homework in one place get a homework folder. That should help!!

xo_Meg_ox answered Sunday August 15 2004, 5:10 am: ur teachers will tell you what they want - normally folders and notebooks, some teachers want composition books..pencils nd pens are always good, and i think white out's a necessity haah, an agenda to keep on top of things...and if you're in geometry, you might be required to buy a graphing calculator (don't buy it until u kno for sure tho cuz they r expensive) [ xo_Meg_ox's advice column | Ask xo_Meg_ox A Question ]
OrangeLuverr answered Sunday August 15 2004, 3:27 am: On the first day you never know what ur gonna need, so its not even worht it to guess...they usually just give you a list of things you need in each class and say "you have until the end of the week to buy them" =) Goodluck with ur freshman yr! TwiggyxObsessed answered Sunday August 15 2004, 3:16 am: I'm going into high school too, but my high school doesn't give out a supply list, as I'm sure not many do anyway. I'm just going to buy a 5-subject notebook and some pens, and wait for the teachers to tell us what to buy for their class. You might be better off just buying one notebook for the first few days, as well as some writing utensils, and then when you get to the classes.. see what the teacher would want you to get for their specific class. I'm VERY messy with my papers and schoolwork as well. Some teachers will even force you to have a table of contents and number the papers in it, and if you have teachers like that.. it's great to get in the habit of being more neater.
