There's this guy at my school and this year I was pretty friendly with him, but I always said we were just friends nothing more. My friends noticed that we were flirting (tho I didn't think we were.) They really started annoying him and saying we belonged together. So at the end of the year my friends were saying how we should go out at the last dance and he was really embarrased and walked out. Now this whole summer I felt so guilty about this and I can't. I'm wonder get him out of my mind. Does it sound like I like him as more than a friend. Please help school starts on August 30th! (link)

It sounds like you might like him, but only you can decide that. It doesn't really sound like your friends are helping much by embarassing him. I think you should talk to this guy and apologize for what happened the previous year.
Only you can decide if you like him, and if you do, try and talk to him and tell him your feelings.

hi okay my best friend and i were hanging out with this guy, and we were just kinda laying with him and i didn't know this but after he left she told me that he had felt her. She knew i liked him and im kinda mad that she let him do this, she stopped after awhile..but.. she said she was really sorry.. i dont kno wat to say to her..i don't think she knows i am mad and i don't really know how to handle this. Wow, I had this same exact problem a few months ago. I'll try to help you as best I can:
Your friend sounds like she cares about you and wants to pursue your friendship more than she wants to pursue any kind of relationship with this guy. She says she is sorry, and she at least told you that the guy was doing that to her... so I have to give her some credit for that.
Maybe you should talk to your friend and tell her that you were upset about how she let the guy you liked do that to her. If you talked it out with her, you could probably work out the problem. I didn't talk to my friend when she did the same thing to me, I just got pissed off and ignored her for a little bit. I don't want that to happen to you, so try talking to her and telling her how you feel. If she really is a true friend, she'll understand.. and I'm getting the feeling she is a true friend because of the fact that she apologized to you, and she told you what was happening with the guy.

Talk to your mom, and explain to her what you said on here... that you're a teenager and you make mistakes, and you're still learning about things in life. My mom has a big trust thing too, so I know how you feel. You should explain to her that she has to try and understand and see from your perspective of things. You should tell her that you need not only a mother, but someone to talk to and open up to.
If you want to go to your friend's house, tell your mom you want to go there. You don't necessarily have to tell her your boyfriend is gonna be there, but if you feel she will give the right reaction, then you can... if trust is of an importance to you.

Hey, if this girl is trying to steal this guy away from you... you should talk to her about it. Or, you could tell the guy about it, and he can talk to her. Academy of St. Joseph in my opinion, because it's smaller and I can't stand large amounts of people. Also, because it's girls-only, and that makes it so much easier to concentrate on your school-work inside school, and guys outside of school. St. Anthony's has way too many people and is co-ed, so I would kill myself if I went there. No offence to anyone going there, though.

My friend is having a birthday/sleepover party this weekend. Problem is..I dont like sleeping over anybody`s house (just a problem I have) I do sometimes though..but i reeally dont like it. Plus, the friends shes inviting are people i dont know at all.Please help, i dont want to go to this party..what should i say to my friend? I really dont feel comfortable sleeping over someone`s house ive never been to before.My friend, whos going to be there, knows about my problem and im afraid shes going to tell.Should I make up a dumb excuse or admit my problem and jus hang at her house til like 10? I really dont wanna hurt my friends feelings or embarass myself.

I don't like sleeping over anyone's houses much either. Maybe you can go to your friend's house for a little while? That way, you're not hurting her feelings as much, because you came to her party for a little while, you just didn't sleep over. Either that, or you could tell your friend about how you don't like to sleep over other people's houses, and if she's a true friend, she'll understand. Hope that helped!

Ask your friend why she acts differently around her other friends than she does when she's only with you. I had a friend like that, and I handled things the wrong way and we got into a huge fight. Don't be like me, tell her that it's bothering you, and if she's a true friend than she will understand. Hope that helped.

Um.. k.. lol Just stick to joining other sports at school, and if you want to start your own sport, work on it until you've perfected your sport.. and talk to your PE teacher about maybe playing it in PE one day. Hope that helped.

hey...im 13 nd i weigh 115..
the thing is that by the end of the summer i wanna weigh 110/ 105...
but even wen i excercise nd skip meals i dont lose the weight...so i as thinkin bout starvin myself..nd the only thing ill drink is water..i did this b4 4 a week..but my mom found out nd i got in2 trouble..but idc nemore..the more my life sux..the more i wanna do this..except i eat newayz..nd i get so mad at myself..so i guess u could say im depressed nd starve myself..((or atleast try))..but how can i overcome this? This is EXACTLY what my problem is right now, as well. I'm 14, but I weigh almost 130 and I hate it and want to lose the weight badly. However, I'm addicted to McDonald's and soda, so that's why, lol. I tried to starve myself as well, but like you.. my mom found out and I had to go to guidance. So, I'll try and help as best as I can:
Personally, I think 115 is a fine weight, but if you want to lose some pounds, it's up to you to make that decision.
Don't starve yourself totally, it will only hurt you and you could end up dying. Try eating healthy foods and low-fat foods. It's good that you're drinking water. When you're upset, you tend to eat more... so think about the positives in your life; your friends [the good ones], your sports, whatever makes you happy. Maybe you have a friend who wants to lose some weight as well? You can work with them and maybe having a friend trying to achieve the same goal as you will push you more towards your goal.
And if you starve yourself, you can become more fragile and INJURE YOURSELF.. especially if you play sports. [I think that will be of importance to you.]

Okay, I've never had a boyfriend so I cannot relate, but I'll try and help the best I can.
When you fight, don't get too upset about it... stop and think about what made you/him mad, and try to see it from his side of the story as well as yours. Now, if you want to avoid fighting, talk to your boyfriend if something's bothering you, don't blow up in his face. Tell him to do the same with you. If he really loves you, he'll want to make the relationship work too, and the both of you should talk about ways you can avoid conflicts.

I'm going into high school too, but my high school doesn't give out a supply list, as I'm sure not many do anyway. I'm just going to buy a 5-subject notebook and some pens, and wait for the teachers to tell us what to buy for their class. You might be better off just buying one notebook for the first few days, as well as some writing utensils, and then when you get to the classes.. see what the teacher would want you to get for their specific class. I'm VERY messy with my papers and schoolwork as well. Some teachers will even force you to have a table of contents and number the papers in it, and if you have teachers like that.. it's great to get in the habit of being more neater.
I still think that you should wait until you hear what each specific teacher wants for their class.. so you don't end up wasting money or having to go back out again.

If she brings her boyfriend to your house with her, bring your boyfriend too... that way you have him there, as well as your friend and her boyfriend. Did you try to talk to her about this? Maybe if you confront her about it, she may see from your side of the story.

ok so heres my problem. You see, Im leaving the school Im in now, and I guess Im kinda scared. OK really scared. Idk anyone at the new school and theres 600 kids in my grade. And thats a big difference from my old school. Anyway I get really shy if Idk anyone. And I dont want my friends to think that Im ditchin them if I cant hang out. B/C this year I want to focus on sports and school. ((Last year I didnt do so well in school)) And Idk what to do because Im scared that ppl wont like me for me. And I just want my friends at home to know that Ill always be here for them no matter wut and that me goin to a different skool could never come between our friendship. I have two friends that are going to different schools, and I understand the importance of education to them. I, however, do not plan to go to college or bother with anything like that.. but I can understand people wanting to have a good, rich and happy life with a career they enjoy. I understand going to different schools can help acedemically, and that, especially if it's a Catholic school, colleges may accept you faster.
I'm sure your friends know that, and there's always those few who will believe it's all bullshit [I know that kind]. Will you still be able to go on AIM? You can talk to them there, and it's not like you're completely moving away, so you may possibly be able to hang out on weekends and such, who knows what'll happen. True friends will understand that you're going to have new friends, new enemies, new problems, and new projects and reports due.. as well as sports to practice for. I don't think true friends would hold it against you if you didn't see them as often.
As for not knowing anyone in the school.. dress in your favorite clothes that completely describe your style and tastes. People that like the 'vibe' you send out or the taste you have in things may come and talk to you. You may meet new people through sports and such as well. Going into middle school, I had one friend and eventually made even more friends. Sometimes it's good to get a fresh start and start over. If people tend to be snobby, there's always going to be people that hate the snobs, and you can hang with them. I don't know, maybe that helps, or maybe this is a shitty answer, lol.
