Hey Everyone :) I'm Kate and a level 2 mod on here. I've had this account since July 2004, so I've been on here since I was 13! Wow ... crazy for me to think how long ago that was. I will admit I don't check in as often as I once did, but being away at college, being in a sorority, and having a job when I'm not at school is very time consuming. I still try to help out as much as possible, and if you send me a question I WILL answer it. Okay, I think this guy likes me, but he is kinda shy, he wont even dance at the dance. He flirts with me though, like he jokes with me, and if I sit next to him in a class, he goes through my purse, which I dont mind cause i have nothing personal in it. I guess you could say i flirted back with him today, in science we were doing this thing with sand and i sprinkled sand on his head and this boy thought we were flirting. That comment made me uneasy because all my friends think I'm a big flirt but I dont even notice it. I'm not even sure that I like the guy anyway. I dont like the way he looks but he is hilarious and always jokes around, he cheers me up when I'm sad. HELP ME

I think he likes you, and it does seem like you like him. He'd definitley be worth dating. I'm pretty slow, so I don't completely understand what you're asking me. Like do you want to know if you like him, because you're the only person that can tell you if you like someone. And I can't tell you if he likes you. Because you could be exaggerating to me or something. From what you said, he probably likes you, but I don't know for a fact. Why don't you have a friend ask him if he likes you. Have her be like.. I thought the two of you would make a cute couple, so I wanna hook you guys up, but 1st I wanted to see if you like each other, so do you like her.... Then if he says yeah, and you feel the same way, ask him out, if he says only as friends, then that cool too. Again I'm not sure of what you're asking, maybe next time be a bit more clearer. Okay.. I know if you make yourself pass out for extended amounts of time it can cause a lot of damage to you.. but what if it only lasts for 5 to 10 seconds? How much damage can that do to you?

Well I don't know if I responded to the other question or not, but you can't make it last for a certain amount of time. Eventually it gets longer and longer, and it does more damage to the brain. My friend passed out for so long we were worried that he was like dead or something. He ended up being really light headed, and his parents (they didn't know what happened) had to take him to the emergency room. It was scary, we thought we had hurt him really bad. It doesn't matter how much fun it is, it is REALLY dangerous. And even if you think you can control how long you stay out for, eventually that control is out of your hands. If I were you I wouldn't do it, that really does cause serious injuries. I don't even understand where we all learned how to do that. Just don't do it, it's a stupid and easy way to hurt yourself.

i just told one of my best friends kelly im bi and now she is acting weird around me. I imed her and shes like ummm hi and im like whats wrong and then she says well idk how to act around u anymore, and im really hurt, she treats me like im not wanted, not intentional, but it still hurts, what do i do be honest

She's going the be uncomfortable around you for a small amount of time. This is something for the both of you to get used to. Maybe she's afraid that you'll fall in love with her, or that you'll try something with her, and she's not that way so she doesn't want anything to ruin the friendship. Reassure her that you aren't into her like that (unless of course you are, then I don't know what to say) tell her how you feel. Tell her you know it's not intentional, but that you feel like you're no longer wanted, that you feel really hurt now. And if you can't trust your best friend with something like this, who can you trust. Tell her in a note or in IM, or face to face if you don't want anyone else to see/hear what you say... what you told us. Just let her know how you feel, and that you aren't any different. That you were still bisexual before you told your friend, but at that time you felt couragous enough to come out. There's not really much more I can say. I heard about a friend who I had thought was straight (until she met this other girl and they were hanging out a lot) that she was bi, and I acted the same around her. Most likely your friend was either brought up to be a homophobe, or your friend is afraid you're going to like put the moves on her. Just let her know that it isn't like that. im REALLY tiny, only 5'1 and 120 lbs. i have HUGE boobs, and they keep getting bigger. im a size 34 DD, and i cant even buy a shaped cup bra cause they dont even fit. my bra rides up my back from my boobs pulling down on it. theyre so big that i have to wear two bras just to keep them up. i dont even know where i can find a bra that will work for me, because the cups kinda cut thru my boobs and give me "bubble boob." im a size 5, and i had to buy a size 12 formal dress just to fit my boobs, and it was WAY too big. my boobs pop open the buttons on button up shirts. SERIOUSLY i know this is a dumb question but what the hell can i do?

You have to be a certain age, but there are things like breast reductions. Even with parent consent you have to be like 16 or 18. I know this one girl who used to sort of be my friend, her breasts were even bigger than yours, but she's also taller than you, but her doctor wouldn't let her get it done because she was too young (like 15 or something) and her breasts were still growing. If you're too young to have breast reduction done, then ask your mom or doctor what your options are, because for my old friend, she had a lot of back problems, and she's only a teenager, she's almost 17 now, but you can get back problems. Maybe see if you can get them reduced down to at least a C. Good luck with that though.

my friend is only 14, and her boyfriend is 17 , and he asked her to marry him last week , and she said yes. and she still hasnt tld her mom or dad about it.Should i tell her parents that she's getting married? Well first of all, if you're under the age of 18 (in some places 16) you can not get married without parental consent. This is just stupid high school romance. Nothing will happpen between them legaly/seriously for at least another four years, maybe more. Does she not have a brain. Do they both not realize that next year (or this upcoming year) he will be going off to college (unless he's some kind of bum) then what will they do. Not even an idiot parent would let their child marry this early. Except for people in certain cultures that marry early. Somehow I doubt this is a real question, and if it is, then there is something seriously wrong with your friend and her boyfriend. They are way to young and immature to even know the meaning of love (though they guy probably has a better perspective on the meaning) But really, if this is true, then the girl can't get married without her parents consent, or without being emancipated (which you have to be 16+ to do) He probably was just giving her a promise ring or something meaning when they're both older and if they are still together, to save herself for him then, or asking her that when they're older, and deeply in love, and out of school, and still together, would she ever marry him. I know that I sound rude in this response, but... well there's lots more I'd like to say, but I'll just keep it to myself.

I'm in my 2nd semester at a jr college and was going to go to SDSU, but now I really don't wanna go there anymore. I wanna go out of state or upstate. Also I could stay at the jc for another year. I have no idea what I should do. I'd like to hear some ideas and please no rude comments.

There's this girl named Maria. Okay, she's attempted suicide before, and now since she's failing health she wants to do it again? That's no reason for committing suicide which unless there's something else going on in her life that she's dealing with (besides failing a class, something big, like a friend who recently passed away) then she's stupid for even thinking about suicide. And here you are asking whether or not you should tell someone that a good friend of yours is about to committ suicide. I mean if she's a good friend then you'd tell someone to help her. Okay, Maria cheats in health, the teacher fails her (at my school you can get into a lot worse trouble for that) and she decides she wants to commit suicide, it sounds more like an attention plea rather than a real reason to committ suicide. And you're wasting time asking this question? Come on now. If you're taking health, and you're on this website then most likely you're 13-15 years old, which means that you're smart enough to know when a friend's life is in danger to GET HELP!!!!!!! I know I probably come across as a witch (I'd use another term, but I gave up bad language for lent... whole other story) but I'm just trying to knock some common sense into your head. How much would you charge if you were 15 and you were babysitting 2 kids for 4 hours, one kid will already be in bed, the other kid will go to bed about an hour after you get there, and the ages are 3 and 8?

It seems like you won't have to hard of a time so maybe $25-$30 or maybe $20 since you really technically will only be babysitting for one hour, and one kid. I usually get anywhere from $5-$7 per hour with 2 kids, and since one will be in bed, and the other you're only watching for an hour, and just making sure they're safe in bed for the other 3 (four for the 3yr old) it won't be hard. So I guess as confusing as my advice is, $20 dollars sounds like a good price.

I know of 13 different types of birth controls, I have information on 11, some information on another one, and I found websites to help with the two I wasn't completely sure about.

Abstinence:
Effectiveness 99% against STD's, 100% against pregnancy
How it works : No sex until marriage (or just no sex)
Pros: No chance of pregnancy, only 1% chance of having an STD
Cons: A long wait
Cost: Free

Birth Control Pill:
Type:hormonal
Effectiveness: 97%-99% if used properly, not effective against STD's
How it works: horomones prevent ovulation
Pros: less chance of pregnancy, regulates period, helps w/ cramping, & prevents some cancers and cysts

ok, so ive been going out with this guy for a month. the thing is i think he likes me more than i like him. im only 14, this is the most serious relationship ive ever had, and when we kiss and stuff he says im the most amazing girl in the world and regularly texts me to tell me the same type of thing. he says spending time with me is the best thing ever, and he says his life would be pointless without me. which is great, if i felt the same way. dont get me wrong, i do really really like him, but he doesnt make me feel the same way as he says i make him feel. he's an amazing guy, he really is, he's sweet and funny and really kind but he's just not... the best looking guy in the world! i know that shouldnt make a difference, and its not like he's really ugly or anything, but am i being selfish by still going out with him even though i dont like him as much as he likes me? i dont want to break up with him because i love being in a relationship and i love the attention. i know that makes me sound like a really horrable person, but im not honest. im just a bit confused. help please.

Not to burst any bubbles, but you are being somewhat selfish by dating him when you don't feel the same way. If I was in your position I'd be confused too. I mean if he says his life would be pointless without you, then a breakup between the two of you would be really hard on him, but technically you're leading him on. Which means in the long run he'll be even more hurt. And you do sound kind of shallow, saying he isn't the best looking guy, and that you like the attention. Not to make you sound bad, and try not to take this like I'm saying something bad about you, but he deserves better. And by that I mean he deserves someone that feels towards him what he feels towards you. I've never been in a situation like that before, so maybe I'm not the best person to ask, and maybe you'll want a different opinion on this, because I think it is selfish to be dating someone you don't truly really like (unless you do) I could've misunderstood the question, but I hope I don't come across rude or anything. I was at my friend's house the other day and we decided to make him pass out. Then i wanted to try it just to see how it felt. So i hyper-venalated myself, held my breath, and let him pick me up with my arms crossed at my chest. Before i knew it i woke up and was on the floor. Everyone was staring at me and i didn't remember anything but it was really cool. I did it about 12 more times. Is there a health risk when you do this? Can it cause serious damage to your brain or anything??

We used to do that to people like on the bus, or when we were bored. Once we thought one of the people like died from it because it took him over an hour to recover when normally it only takes like 5-10 minutes. It was really scary. It can really damage you, and when you're passed out you could be raped, or you could actually die from it. Be careful when you do things like that, it is very fatal, and very damaging.

Okay, I just want to know why so many people consider suicide. What do they think it will achieve? Do they really think everyone will be better off if they are dead? Everyone would just be upset! So please, someone enlighten me.

There are sooo many reasons that people want to committ suicide. First you say "everyone would just be upset" have you ever thought that those people that are contemplating suicide don't feel that way. I'll let you in on a little secret, I was at one point suicidal. I just wanted to give up, but then a few different people helped me realize that you have to get through the hard times to reach the good. It might sound crazy to some people, but to those people that have contemplated suicide, well it was either because something terrible happened in their life, or they felt guilty about something big, or their parents beat them, and they thought the only way to no longer feel miserable was just to die. You've never felt so bad that you said "I wish I was dead" or you've felt bad and you said those words? Well some people take that to the extreme. Also some people who drink, or do drugs are so out of it that they kill themselves. Or someone is a loner at school, and people are really mean to them, so they decide well nobody likes me, why don't I just die. There was this one kid at my school last year, we were terrible to him, then we heard this story about how people were really mean to this one girl and she hung herself on the basketball hoop in her school gym listening a few names on a piece of paper saying are you happy now. Since I heard that story last year I've tried not to be as mean, but really no offense but that is a somewhat stupid question. There are people that go through a lot of stuff and feel the only way out is death. And I haven't read through my answer, so if anything doesn't make sense, or sounds rude, well sorry. ~* Kate *~

Do you know how to clear history, or how to delete cookies? If not, then you go to tools up at the top and click on it, under tools the last thing will say internet options... Click that. Then you can either delete cookies, or you can go to clear history, and press okay. There's another way, because clearing history doesn't always work, but it takes to long.

Ok so heres the deal, out of 100% my family and i might have moved and the percentage of us actually moveing would be 5%. I dont know why but i really really want to get out of NY. If we did move it would be to michigan cuz of my dad work. I want to move so i can meet new people and get away from all of my crappy " friends" though i would miss my family here in NY a lot. I told my parents it would be cool if we moved but of course were not. I really dont know wut im asking i just needed someone to give me there opinion.

I moved from NY. I moved to NC. I had friends that I really missed at first. But see when I moved it was the summer before 4th grade, so of course they weren't as close to me as the friends I have now are. But I had a few friends I still kept in touch with until about a year later. But I had the same thing as you going on. When we moved, all our family except two sets of aunts and uncles lived in NY (out of 11) Now us, and 3 sets of aunt and uncles don't live there, but it was hard at first, of course we missed our family, but where I live in NC (charlotte) to drive to where I lived in NY (syracuse) it takes around 10 hours depending on how many stops you make. And flying only about 2-3 hours, so it's not too bad once you get used to visiting. And where you might or would've moved is a lot closer. I also really don't know what you're asking, so I can't answer anything. I just thought I'd share my 'experience' with you. I was kind of confused by your 'question' so I didn't really know how to 'answer' it. But ummm, well hope I helped.
