Question Posted Wednesday February 16 2005, 9:53 pm
I'm in my 2nd semester at a jr college and was going to go to SDSU, but now I really don't wanna go there anymore. I wanna go out of state or upstate. Also I could stay at the jc for another year. I have no idea what I should do. I'd like to hear some ideas and please no rude comments.
Signed,
going nowhere

Also- check out different colleges just like you would have done as a high schooler. And do it soon! If you don't want to go to SDSU, don't go there. Look at Minnesota colleges, NDU, and wherever else you think interests you. Find out how your credits will transfer, and what the programs are like for the major you're interested in (assuming you have a major- if not, check out programs you might be interested in). Do you have friends from high school who went to different 4 year schools? Talk to them- see how they like the schools they're at. Think about how it would be to be far away from family/friends if you went to an out-of-state school. That would be a huge change- and as a transfer student, adjustment and making new friends would take time.
Also, since it's still your first year at jc, it probably wouldn't hurt to stay there one more year while you figure out what you want to do. Continue to take general classes, and use the rest of this time to make goals and check out different schools. [ rainbowsend's advice column | Ask rainbowsend A Question ]

^That link is to colleges in NC
And in that link, the part that says the state name, change that to any other state where you'd like to attend college in, then see which college you like, for example... [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
^That link is the same as the one above except instead of having NorthCarolina.htm, it has NewYork.htm
Here's a college in NY that I used to want to go to [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
But when I found out it was cheaper to go to a college in a state you live in I gave up that dream ( I would apply there if I hadn't of moved to NC, because I used to live in NY)
Here's a site that lists colleges in florida [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
And a site that lists colleges in California [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
Here's a link I found with like thousands of colleges [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
I noticed you didn't get much info from anyone else, so I decided to do a lot of research for you. Anything else e-mail or drop on in the inbox, or IM me or whatever, the info is on my column :-) Hope I helped!! [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]
XoUkrainianBabeXo answered Wednesday February 16 2005, 11:17 pm: it all depends what you want to do and what school you feel is right for you. Compare what each school offers and why you would want to go to which ever school it is. Also think of why you want to go out of state or stay in state the possitives and the negatives of each.
