Passout.

Question Posted Thursday February 17 2005, 8:47 pm

Okay.. I know if you make yourself pass out for extended amounts of time it can cause a lot of damage to you.. but what if it only lasts for 5 to 10 seconds? How much damage can that do to you?

if you pass out its because of lack of oxygen to the brain which in turn..will kill brain cells which do not grow back. it wont be alot of damage if it happens occationally but if it happens alot..i will turn out to be a bad thing! i hope i helped!

Well I don't know if I responded to the other question or not, but you can't make it last for a certain amount of time. Eventually it gets longer and longer, and it does more damage to the brain. My friend passed out for so long we were worried that he was like dead or something. He ended up being really light headed, and his parents (they didn't know what happened) had to take him to the emergency room. It was scary, we thought we had hurt him really bad. It doesn't matter how much fun it is, it is REALLY dangerous. And even if you think you can control how long you stay out for, eventually that control is out of your hands. If I were you I wouldn't do it, that really does cause serious injuries. I don't even understand where we all learned how to do that. Just don't do it, it's a stupid and easy way to hurt yourself.

Well stupid, if it causes damage at all, it'll probably cause damage for just a couple of seconds too. I can tell you've already been dumbed down enough by doing this already, so i guess theres no more damaged that can be caused to a complete and utter moron. Go ahead.

It won't do anything to you if it only lasts for 5 to 10 seconds but if you do it often, then it could. Making yourself pass out is not good for you at all and you shouldn't do it. Hope I helped :)

not much, assuming you dont do it too often, its called trasnining. are you pressing on the chest or chocking? because chicking can actualy hurt you but pressing on the chest (rigth on the end of the sternum) is fine.
