There's this girl named Maria. She's a good friend of mine, and today she got in deep trouble with our Health teacher because she gave answers to someone else, and hes failing her for the marking period with a 50. She said she's tried to commit suicide before, and she's going to do it again. Should I tell somebody? Thanks. =]

Think of it this way...hypothetically speaking, if she did commit suicide (and you knew about it before hand)could you seriously live with yourself knowing that you could of saved a good friend's life?Once you answer that question, I think you'll know what to do.

You should definitely tell someone right away even if your not sure if she's serious or not. If no one does anything about it talk to her and say "Hey, its only health class!". If she doesnt listen then maybe go to another adult that you trust and know will do something about it. Maybe your school guidance councelor? Good luck!

That's no reason for committing suicide which unless there's something else going on in her life that she's dealing with (besides failing a class, something big, like a friend who recently passed away) then she's stupid for even thinking about suicide. And here you are asking whether or not you should tell someone that a good friend of yours is about to committ suicide. I mean if she's a good friend then you'd tell someone to help her. Okay, Maria cheats in health, the teacher fails her (at my school you can get into a lot worse trouble for that) and she decides she wants to commit suicide, it sounds more like an attention plea rather than a real reason to committ suicide. If you're taking health, and you're on this website then most likely you're 13-15 years old, which means that you're smart enough to know when a friend's life is in danger to GET HELP!!!!!!! I know I probably come across as a witch (I'd use another term, but I gave up bad language for lent... whole other story) but I'm just trying to knock some common sense into your head. Good friend in danger, that friend tell someone... even a caveman can understand that concept!!!! TELL SOMEBODY!!!!!!

You really do need to tell someone because if she's a good friend of yours, you should try to help her. She will be mad at you first but in the long run, she'll stop being mad at you, since you helped her. You should always tell someone about problems like this because it can lead to something dangerous. Hope I helped :)

you should definately tell someone. your friend may be mad at you for this but it will only benefit her in the long run. if you dont help her, or if you hold it off, it may be too late. think about this: your health teacher is failing her and THAT is making her want to kill herself again? if something like THAT makes her want to put harm to herself, then she really does need someone to help her. you cant do it alone. trust me...ive tried to help friends in your situation. you have to go to an adult that you can trust and let them know whats going on. she will get the help she needs and you could save her life. think it over please. its for the best and the best only.

Always tell someone. Even if you think it's minor. Have you not been listening in health class? That's what they've been telling us. Anyway if you didn't tell anyone, would you like to know that you could have stopped her from killing herself? Just go ahead tell an adult.

talk to the school guidance counsellor. he/she will know how to handle this delicate situation. dont be scared to tell someone, you could just save her life. you can keep her anonymous if you must but get help!!!

i think you should, youl possible be saving a life and whatnot. if you dont want her knowing youre telling someoen, dont let them know who you are. i think you should talk to her or her parents, your parents, or a school counsiler. a recomendation from me is just being there for her i guess.
