Q: ok...so I have wen't to the beach this summer right and I hung out with this girl one day and she asked for my phone number so that we could hang out again tommorw (I am a girl and we were just being friends) so yea gave her my cellular...and all week we hung out and stuff and I wen't to her house and she came to myine and we just did the normal stuff that girls do and well...she has this brother who was crushin on me and I did not think anything about it I mean at school it happens alott and I am just the girl who they crush on and ask out...I AM SO NOT BRAGGING! I am just saying this to tell you that I did not know the brat was hanging around me the whole wek just for her brother so that he could get my phone number and call me every two seconds and worry the piss out of me so COULD ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO BLOCK A NUMBER ON A VRIZON WIRELESS PHONE! A: Blocking him may only work temporarily, because he can call on a different phone and won't be blocked.

Just call the boy and tell him that you are NOT interested in him, that you have a boyfriend, and that if he really liked you he would leave you the hell alone and stop bothering you.

If that doesn't work, tell him you'll call the police and report his harrassment. Guys like that just freak me out, sorry.

I hope this kid'll stop harrassing you, and that his loser of a sister will pay for being such an idiot.

Q: how do you save a animated icon? I know you have to save it to gif but how?

A: If you can provide me with this additional information, I'll be able to help you:

Did you make this icon, or are you trying to save it from a website?

If you made the icon, what program(s) did you use to make it?

Do you have any graphic-editing programs that you could save jpg's, png's, etc. as gif's? (Programs like Adobe or Paint Shop Pro)

It's kinda hard to answer your question, as you don't provide enough information to come to a solution. But if you can give me(us) that information, it'll make it so much easier to help you out.

Q: ok i was wondering if i want to cange the color of a font and make it bold do i just TEXT HERETEXT HERE and put what i want it to say in were it says "text here" or will the writting come out twice? can someone help me out. o yea adn this is for xanga.

A: Just so you know later:

In HTML, let's say you wanted to underline and italicize text. All you would have to do is type the first two opening tags, write your text, and close both of the tags:

TEXT

But, if you tried to do it this way:

TEXT TEXT

They would come out as separated sections of text--one underlined, and one italicized.

You can combine any HTML codes you want to on one piece of text, so long as you close them properly.

If you want HTML help, feel free to ask away. I've been doing HTML and XML for years now.

Q: heyy...does anybody know how to make a picture into a cartoon using paint shop pro 8? ill appreciate any advice you could give me

A: A cartoony effect? The one I use most of the time is:

1) Open your picture in PSP8
2) Go to Enhance Photo > Sharpen
3) Go to Effects > Artistic > Posterize
4) Go to Enhance Photo > Edge Preserving Smooth.

Set the EPS to whatever you want it to be.

That should give a pretty cartoony effect, but just play around with PSP and see what you can come up with. Effects you might want to try:

Art Media Effects: Colored chalk
Artistic Effects: Solarize
Artistic Effects: Neon Glow

And anything else that looks cool. :)

Q: Please only answer this question if you have read the book!!!

I was wondering how many people liked the book(Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince) because i work at a bookstore and we have really been wondering what people think of the book!!!

A: All of the books are marvelously well-written. They're not just for kids, believe me. My uncle and my college-aged cousin read them, as do I. I may be a bit biased, but they're some pretty good books.

If you decide on getting them, make sure you read them in the right order. Some books you can read out of order and still get everything, but in Harry Potter, that's kinda impossible.

Favorite Potter books in order of favoritism:

HP and the Half-Blood Prince
HP and the Prisoner of Azkaban
HP and the Sorcerer's Stone (Philosopher's Stone in Britain)
HP and the Order of the Phoenix
HP and the Goblet of Fire
HP and the Chamber of Secrets

They're really good books, and the paperbacks are cheap, so enjoy yourself some Potter this summer!

Q: I asked the question: (Okay....I would really like to know how John 5:19-47 contradicts God not being a triune God. I would also like to know what other verses sway this thinking in you.) And I looked into your answer.

If what you say is true, that God is not a triune God, how do you explain Genesis 1:26 where God said "let us make man in our image and in our likeness" Who is the us? The Hebrew word for God is Elohim which means one plural God. This is affirmed in Col. 1:16 where Jesus is identified as the creator of all things.

Or how about man being made in the image of God? 1 These. 5:23 says that man is body, soul, and spirit. A triune being made in the image and likeness of a triune God.

Or Jesus is not created nor did he have a beginning. In Is. 9:6 he is called Everlasting Father! This is not referring to God the Father, but rather, Jesus who is of the same essence as the Father. Jesus is everlasting.

Or John 1:1 tells us that in the beginning was the "Word" (Jesus) and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Jesus is the Word according to verse 14.

Or Rev. 1:8 tells us that Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, ...who is, and who was, and who is to come. Here he is identified as without beginning.

Or Hebrews 7:3 is the most clear as it states that Melchizedek the Priest was like Jesus...Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, like the Son of God he remains a priest forever. Jesus is without beginning of days.


Or in John 5:18, the verse before the one you originally mentioned, states that Jesus made himself equal with the Father, this could not be unless he was of the same essence as the eternal God.

Or Philippians 2:6-9 describes how Jesus is and always will be divine God but voluntarily became a man for our sake. "Being in very nature God...

Interestingly you address God calling himself "I Am" in the burning bush when addressing Moses. You claim that this person is the Father but John 8:58 tells us that Jesus claimed it was himself and the Jews understood this because they wanted to stone him for saying it.

Hebrews chap. 1 tells us that Jesus was not an angel. He always has been and always will be superior to the angels.

Or in John 14:10 Jesus goes so far as to say that if you have seen him you have seen the Father.

Or Matthew 28:19 has people being baptized into the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Notice that it is not the names but rather the name. This shows us that the three are equal and that the name of one is in essence the name of the other.

Jesus is worshiped as God. Dt. 6:13 says to worship only one God. If Jesus was not God he would have to stop people from worshiping him. Matt. 2:11 Jesus was worshiped by the Magi.
Matt. 14:33 The disciples worshiped Jesus. John 9:28 The healed blind man worshiped Jesus. John 20:28 Thomas worshiped Jesus as God. Rev. 4:11; 5:8-13 all heaven worships Jesus.

How do you explain away this evidence found in the Bible, if God is not a triune God?

A: You're using the King James version of the Bible, aren't you? I don't really use that version. Reason I don't is that it was translated from the Latin Vulgate, which was translated by the Catholics who believed in the doctrine of the Trinity. I do have some knowledge of the Greek language, and will try to translate to the best of my ability.

I'll start off with the highly controversial John 1:1:

King James Version:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

Original Greek:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with (tov/a?) God, and (tov/a?) God was the Word."

So according to the Greek text, In the beginning (of the World) was Jesus, and Jesus was with God, and Jesus was a god. This does not mean Jesus was God Almighty, it means Jesus was A god.

John 5:18 doesn't necessarily mean that Jesus is saying he's equal to God. He's just saying that he's done the same things as Him. You can do the same stuff your father can, but that doesn't mean you're his equal.

In Colossians, read the whole passage. It says that all things were created FOR Jesus. The earth, the universe, was a gift for Jesus.

As for I Thessalonians 5:23, explain to me the difference between soul and spirit. Are they not the same thing?

As for Isaiah--we'll be everlasting, too, once we're in Heaven. That doesn't mean we're God, though, does it? God was completely alone before he created the universe. The Holy Spirit is simply God's presence on earth. People try to make it out like it's a separate being, but...whatever.

John 1:14 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." Jesus is God's messenger, sent to preach and tell us God's word. Also see my explanation of John 1:1. Also, that full of grace and truth part. When I read the Bible, that part just doesn't seem to fit to me. Almost like it had been added on. Hmm...

Just because Revelation 1:8 is in red text, doesn't mean it's Jesus speaking. I fully believe that it is God Almighty speaking. Jesus said numerous times in the Gospels that he was NOT God, and he was not Almighty.

Where else is Melchizedek mentioned in the Bible? I haven't been able to find anything.

Philippians 2:6

"Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God."

So, Jesus didn't THINK it was robbery to be considered equal with God, but it was? Robbery is a sin, so Jesus sinned and became equal with God? Explain that verse to me.

Verses 7 and 8 says that Jesus, while above man, came to earth and humbled himself, then God exalted him. Why would God exalt himself?

I believe you're misinterpretting John 8:58. Before Abraham was, God was.

So Jesus wasn't an angel. Does that mean he was God?

In John 14:10, Jesus is saying that God's spirit was in him, or the Holy Spirit was in him, and that his works were God's through him.

I don't know how you're getting that out of Matthew 28:19. Nowhere in that verse does it say anything about them being equal, or that one name is in essence the name of the other.

In Matthew 2:11, does it say that the Magi were right in worshipping Him? The disciples called him the "Son of God," not God himself. In John 9:28, the blind man worshipped him, but what is the context of worship? He could have been simply thanking God. In John 20:28, Thomas calls him "My Lord and my God." Jesus is a God, but not THE God. In Revelation 4:11, Lord should be the LORD of the Old Testament, in other words, God. In Revelation 5:8-13, they were praising Jesus, or thanking him, for giving them salvation and allowing them to be priests, kings, and servants of God through his blood.

I stand very strong in my belief of one SUPREME God, the LORD Jehovah who is Almighty, and His Son who He created, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Just wondering, but why are you asking me about this, and if you don't mind telling, who are you?

Q: i was trying to get a group together to see a movie at the local cinema. im a girl & most of my friends are guys but my parents still want there to be some girls there with me because they dont always trust the guys. well i called up the few girl friends i do have & none of them will go. i get excuses even before i tell them what we're seeing. but thats besides the point, how do i get my parents to see that i can never get any girls to go?? i wanna see movies but i end up not being able to go b/c im the only girl! please help me!!

A: I completely understand where you're coming from. Most of my friends are guys as well, since most of the female population at my school are complete dumbasses.

Anyway, my parents used to hate the idea of my guy friends coming over just to come over, for band practice, us going to movies, etc. All I can suggest is to just tell them how much you trust your friends, and that you absolutely know for a fact that they wouldn't harm you in any way. Tell them that the reason you don't really have any girl friends that want to go is that most girls your age are stuck-up and snobby. My parents felt that if I trusted them that much, that they must be ok. Although, they did make me invite them over so they could meet them and stuff before I could go with them. But hey, at least you'll be able to go! (hopefully).

Q: i have the thickest hair in the world- and it's extremely dry, and it's all one length, and it reaches to the middle of my back, i wanna get it cut really bad- nothing too short- but i dont know what yet. any suggestions? also- i dont know what to do about my hair being so dry. ive tried all kinds of moisturizing this and that- but nothing seems to work. PLEASE HELP!

A: I feel your pain--I have extremely long, very thick hair as well. It used to be such a pain to work with, so I got it cut to a few inches below my shoulders in layers. If you want your hair thinned out, get layers. It helps SO much.

As for it being dry, when you shampoo, use one for very dry hair. After shampooing, wring the excess water from your hair. When you've done that, take some good moisturizing conditioner and slather it onto your hair. Wrap your hair up in a towel and wait 5 or 10 minutes. Rinse your hair with lukewarm water. This should help moisturize your hair pretty well. Do this 2-3 times a week, and you'll see a difference. Also, don't wash your hair every night. That'll just strip your hair of its natural oils that keep it moisturized.

Q: ok well when somthing sudden happens or if the spot light is put on me my face turns bright red..and i can't help it. This started happening like 2-3 weeks ago. What shoud I do. I hate it...it'a happened to me like 10 times a day, even if i'm jus around my friends. What is this and how do I get rid of it. Thanks!

A: You're just blushing. You've probably blushed before, but you didn't realize it until a few weeks ago. I've got reddish hair and pale skin, so I'm HORRIBLE for blushing. If I get even the teeniest bit embarrassed I turn bright cherry red. Same thing happens if I get up infront of a lot of people. Also may happen if you're excited, or a little bit warm.

You can't really do anything about blushing, since it's something your body does naturally. Don't worry about it, though. Alot of people I know think blushing is cute. :) Some people even wished they blushed bright red. Just enjoy what unique physical characteristics you have.

Topic= Phyllisia came from West India and has no friends. People beat her up and no one likes her. Edith, a very tough girl that everyons afraid of, helps her and they become good friends and its basically a book about how to keep a strong friendship of complete opposites.

A: Ok, you've already got an idea for a thesis statement:

"basically a book about how to keep a strong friendship of complete opposites."

So, something like this:

"By reading about Phyllisia and Edith, we can see that people can form strong friendships no matter what kind of differences they have."

Play around with that a bit, or get a general idea of a thesis from that.

Q: for summer reading i have to write a 5 paragraph essay and in the first paragraph i have to include a thesis statement on the main topic..lol obviously(sp?) but i forget how to do a thesis statement so can someone please help me on what i have to include? thanks soo much! i rate high!

A: A thesis is basically something you learned, something you believe, etc. and why or how you came to that point.

For example, a thesis for a book would be something you learned from it, why you think a character acted a certain way, the psycological state of a character, etc. Then you would prove why you thought that.

A thesis for a science project is something like "I believe that if x occurred, y would subsequently occur." You would then have to prove your belief with scientific fact.

I could probably give you a better example of a thesis if I knew which book you were reading. Feel free to ask me via private question, AIM, or email if you want to.

Q: All my life-I was known as the "stick."


Now I'm gaining weight-and fast. I am on birth control and that could be one of the reasons-but I'm also not in as many sports as i once was.

I'm not fat-but I feel as if i am overweight. I am 5'9 and i weigh 130.


Psycologically-I want to stop eating. I eat something fattening-and then I decide not to eat for the rest of the day.



I can't shake this-and I really just want to lose weight. I run every day-but it soon ended-I just couldn't do it anymore. I have horrible back problems. I try and eat heathy-but i still feel fat.

A: Weighing 130 pounds while being 5' 9" tall is perfectly normal.

I think it's probably just psycological, but if you feel like you're really getting flabby just watch your eating habits and exercise!

Eating habits for a healthy body include having three square meals a day, eating heathy foods at those meals, and going light on sugary or fatty snacks.

Here's one day of healthy meals.

Breakfast

Milk or orange juice
Cheese toast
Apple slices or some other kind of fruit
Eggs
Oatmeal

Lunch

Milk, orange juice, or some other fruit juice
Turkey on whole grain bread
Celery with ranch dressing or peanut butter
Grapes
Crackers with cheese

Dinner

Milk, orange juice, water, some other fruit juice
Grilled chicken breast
Sweet peas
Creamed potatoes
Bread roll

Good desserts would be:

Grapes
Apple slices with peanut butter
Plain popcorn
One scoop of vanilla ice cream


Back problems? Ouch. Back problems sucketh nuts. Exercising with back problems can sometimes be tough, but they're not impossible.

To start off, walk every day for about thirty minutes. Walk at a slow pace first, then gradually build up to a power walk. You'd be suprised at how good walking is for your heart and body.

Please don't stop eating because you want to lose weight. It won't help at all, and it'll make you sick.

A: If you really did read books 1-5, you would know what the dark mark is. I'm sorry, but you must've not read the fourth book at all. Go back and read the Goblet of Fire.

A: Why are you asking? *shrugs* All you have to do is set up the equation and work it out on a calculator. If you don't have one handy at your house, look for one on Google. The equations are:

.2 x 9,200,000

and

.015 x 9,200,000

And the answer is equal to the variable n in an Algebra problem. Algebra is fun and easy to use, so do the math!

Q: Ok. so my boyfriend just told me that he didn't want to have sex tell he is married but I really don't want to wait me and let's call him stuart have been dating a while and i'm in love with him so much but I really don't want to wait. What do I do?

A: Stuart has made a wise choice. Waiting until marriage for sex is smart in many, many ways. First off, what happens if you and Stuart go your separate ways? Of course, you hope that's not going to happen, but it could. With sex comes STD's and alot of other complications.

If you're in love with him, shouldn't it be worth the wait? If you really love him, you could wait for him if he's made the decision to wait until marriage. Respect his decisions and choices like you would want yours respected.

Q: its lasted like..about.. well, a long time. sooo, wut meds should i take? heh kinda stupid question and i cud ask like my parents or w/e but they're not really here for me to ask them right now. and uh.. well, heh cud it be cuz of the computer? cuz i seem to get it while i'm infront of a certain computer, or.. ehh, well anyway it hurts alot. so.. anything i could do about it other than taking meds?

A: I get major headaches because I'm on the computer most of the day doing stuff like coding, running around Advicenators, etc. Since you don't want to take medicine, I advise just laying down and taking a short nap. That always makes me feel better.

If you wake up and still feel bad, I advise taking some sort of medicine. But make SURE that you know exactly what you're taking and how much of it you can take safely. Ask your parents for medicine if they're home by the time you wake up. Don't take ANYTHING without knowing what you're doing. It could make you really sick.

With that said, I hope you feel better soon, and that my advice helps you out.
