Alpha345 answered Wednesday July 27 2005, 11:23 pm: Personally I enjoyed the book. Alot of questions got answered and we finally get to see who Voldemort really is and who he was. Also there was a good plot and the story moved very nicely for me.
The only thing I didn't like was the end. I don't have very high hopes for book 7 now because of the ending of book 6, but I still will read book 7.
But otherwise the book was very good, definately one of my favorites for sure out of the Harry Potter series. If I were to give it a rating I would say 9/10, and only getting the nine with the ending, otherwise the rest of the book was increadibly good. [ Alpha345's advice column | Ask Alpha345 A Question ]
MissAverageGirl answered Wednesday July 27 2005, 9:40 pm: Hey,
I didn't have very high hopes for this book to be honest; after the Order of the Phoenix really let me down, but the Half Blood Prince was really good; and had a great fast-moving plot though technically it wasn't very well written.
Overall it was an enjoyable book.

Sporkster answered Wednesday July 27 2005, 7:46 pm: All of the books are marvelously well-written. They're not just for kids, believe me. My uncle and my college-aged cousin read them, as do I. I may be a bit biased, but they're some pretty good books.
If you decide on getting them, make sure you read them in the right order. Some books you can read out of order and still get everything, but in Harry Potter, that's kinda impossible.
Favorite Potter books in order of favoritism:
HP and the Half-Blood Prince
HP and the Prisoner of Azkaban
HP and the Sorcerer's Stone (Philosopher's Stone in Britain)
HP and the Order of the Phoenix
HP and the Goblet of Fire
HP and the Chamber of Secrets
They're really good books, and the paperbacks are cheap, so enjoy yourself some Potter this summer!
