You are risking an STD. AIDS can kill you
others can stay with you forever causing
problems.
You risk pregnancy which will alter your
life forever. You're much to young to be
tied down with a child.
Thats a lot of risk taking for a guy who
doesn't care enough to make you his
girlfriend.

Suicide is not the answer because most things
and circumstances change in a heartbeat. What
seems a big deal right now is not such a big
deal after a while. Most of the things young
people feel are major are just not that
important to anyone other than themselves.
I had a friend that went off to college.
She killed herself because she got a B
instead of an A in a class. She was worried
her mom would be upset. She was a straight A student throughout her earlier years. One B
and she, a very smart lady who would have
made something of herself even with a B is
gone.
People get so wrapped up in there own
little world sometimes. They don't see
just how stupid they are being.
Now I'm not saying there aren't people out
there with real problems. They are sick or
broke and living under a bridge. People
get depressed and get so low they don't
know where to turn for help. But there are
people who are able to help them. There
are meds for those who are really depressed.
Its just admitting they have problems and
looking for someone to help them.
So suicide is never a good answer. It may
end one persons problems and create heartache
and depression for those they leave behind.
Often they are left thinking, if I'd only
known.
So if you're feeling suicidal talk
to those who love you. Tell them how you
feel. Don't keep it to yourself and let
it get bigger and bigger until it seems
impossible to dig out. Reach out for help.

i didnt call up or show up at work today..i work at mcdonalds and have been there for 9 months and i have ALWAYS shown up to work, except just this once.
what happened was that i got into a really big fight with a family member and so i just went out the door and stayed at a friends house because i just couldnt handle it. and i couldnt get to work today so i just didnt show up ..
i dont know what to say to them when i work in 4 days again! i feel really bad about it because i let the nicest manager down. please help, should i tell then what happened or would they not believe me?

You need to call them RIGHT NOW with an
explanation. DO NOT wait 4 days until you
are scheduled to work again.
Regardless of what happened at home you
may not have a job to return to. You didn't
show for work. Someone else had to be called
in on their day off, someone had to work in
your place, maybe even the manager. Worse yet
they had to work short because nobody was able
to come in.
Having a job is a responsibility. When you
don't call and don't show it affects several
other people. The policy at most of the
places I have worked is that a no call, no
show is grounds for immediate termination.
Don't make the situation worse by just
ignoring it. Call them now with an
explanation if you want to keep the job.

I'm not looking for an excuse but my friend won't drink with her boyfriend. They did just start going out (2 months ago) but she never drinks with any of her boyfriends.
What would be the reason to why she doesn't?

She sounds pretty smart to me!
If you don't drink with your boyfriend
there is a lot less of a chance that
you will get so drunk that you don't
have control over what you do. Many
a girl has gotten into trouble by
having sex while drunk.
Now if you meant Pepsi or orange juice,
I have no clue. :)

I want to commit suicide but I don'twant pain so I want to tak a bunch of sleeping pills I am 14 and a female. About how many do I need to take to die in my sleep? My ffriend that's like a brother to me went out drunk as a fucking skunk to jump off a cliff because he was really depressed and I couldn't stop him no matter what I did. I know it's "not the end of the word" and shit but I don't care! I waited all night and morning and ect but he never got on again so spare me the bullshit about not doing it and trying to convince me not to because everyone knows it doesn't work so spare yourself the energy and help me please. painless or pretty.
Your drunk friend is probably sleeping it off
somewhere no where near a cliff. If you want
to help his depression keep him off the booze.
It is a depressent in itself and not at all
helpful.
I'm sorry all your talking didn't help your
friend to your satisfaction. Most teens your
age think they know everything and that the
world revolves around them. You don't and it
doesn't.
Good grief girl don't end a life that hasn't
even started to know what real life is about
yet.

So there's a guy i have been having sex with for about a month now. we're just friends with benefits. It started out that he would call me every night and we would talk about each others days blah blah blah. that was before we started having sex. anyways, now we don't talk at all. yeah i know that's how friends with benefits are "supposed" to be. and i'm fine with that. tonight i went to his house. we had sex big surprise. anyways, we barely said 2 sentences after. i tried to talk to him about football cause he plays and i got like short answers. the awkward conversation (if you would call it that) lasted like 10 minutes and he was like ok im going to sleep. i'm frickin going out of my way to sneak out of my house just to please him and he can't even have a conversation with me. am i in the wrong here? and no i don't like him in that way, i would just like a little respect. Friends with benefits is never a good
idea. He only sees you for the benefits.
He doesn't care enough to make you his
girlfriend. You're a warm place to get
off...that's it.
He isn't interested in being friendly
or even being your friend. He is using
you just for sex. You let him.
If you want respect stop sleeping
with the jerk. He doesn't see you
as someone to respect. Hes someone
he can go to so all the other girls
think hes a perfect gentleman.
Sorry for being so blunt but that's
the way it is. I think you know that

If you are afraid then you really shouldn't
be doing it. Most young teens DON'T think
about what might happen. I'm really glad
you do.
There is nothing wrong with having sex
when you are really ready. It is
taking a big gamble with your future
when you do though. That's why both
partners need to be adult enough to
take the responsibility should those
risks become reality.
If you have sex with someone you need
to make sure it is with someone you
would marry if you got pregnant. If
you are to young to even drive, If
nobody has a means to make a living
to support you and a family, don't
have sex. If you aren't on very
reliable birth control, don't have
sex. Thats what I told my daughter.
There are sexually transmitted
diseases out there that can be
life altering too. Get herpes
or a disease like that and you
will have to explain that to
anyone who you have sex with in
the future. It could ruin future
relationships. Get AIDS and you
die a slow agonizing death.
Its really not smart for anyone
to think the person wanting sex
will be 100% truthful about what
they have done and with who in
the past. Thats putting your
entire life at risk.
Don't follow the crowd. Just because
your friends haven't been caught yet
doesn't mean they won't be. It doesn't
mean you won't be.
I'm sure the answer you wanted was
"Just use a condom and don't tell
anyone, it will be fine." That
isn't the truth though. Condoms
can break and kids take risks
because they think themselves
invincible every day.
Be grown up enough to wait until
everything is perfect. :)

okay so i made a dumb mistake long story short
i had sex today and my boyfriend didnt use a condom.. i know we should have and i have had pregnancy scares lately where i think im pregnant because i end up missing my period but i guess my cycle just changed a bit bit now its back on track..

Uh, you need to get the morning after pill
and stop relying on a stupid internet chart.
Playing that game is a sure fire way of getting
pregnant.
Those charts are made to help women GET
pregnant. It shows the days you are most
LIKELY to get pregnant. You can get pregnant
any old time, the chart just helps with really
fertile days. Trying to use them to prevent
pregnancy is not smart at all.
You can rate me a 1 for lecturing if you
like. I think its important for not only you
but for others who will think this is a really
cool thing to steer clear of it. It is not
safe to rely on charts.
Condoms and/or birth control or the simple word
NO, are what you use to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. Nothing else works.
So, the answer to your question is, even though
he pulled out, you have a very good chance of being pregnant.

For a sports physical you go to the doctor.
They check your blood pressure and weight
and things like that. Different doctors and
schools have different types of physicals.
Basically they want to make sure your body
can handle the stress and training required
to play a sport.

It could be that he doesn't notice it as much
as you do! It isn't stopping him now and hes
probably been close enough to see already.
People of Mediterranean nationality will
sometimes have darker/more hair, its
normal. If that isn't the case here you
should probably see a doctor, just to
make sure you don't have a hormone
imbalance that would cause facial hair
in a female. Something like that can
be fixed with medication.
You could also use a mild hair remover.
I have read than Sally Hanson Hair
Removal Cream is a good choice and
affordable.
Overall though, if he wants to get close
and talk to you, don't back off. A lot
of times we see things about ourselves
that just don't matter to others. :)

i broke the agreement i couldn't handle it.
he was willing to ask for another shot.
he wanted me to forgive him.
then a week later hes all "it must of slipped my mind"
which is bullshit. =]
but the next day i was in shock.
and then i was busy with my sisters wedding so i didn't think of it much. then when that was over.. i got depressed for like 2 days.
and my mom was home and she yelled at me and made me realized i was wasting my time.
and i had no energy that i pretty much slept 18 hours.
then i got a burst of happiness..and i am all good.
i haven't cried in over 24 hours =]
and everyone was all "WHAT?! HOW ARE YOU HAPPY?!"
and yeah.
i still plan to give him the rest of the stuff i was working on.
and i will still give him his birthday present in febuary that i promised last year.
and thats that. =]
i got a plan that i'm gonna stick to it.

My belly button piercing is seriously infected. I've had it for four days and every day it gets worse. What should I do? I cant take it out, because then the infection gets sealed in. AND every day I sea salt soak it twice -- once in the morning and once before bed, and clean it with rubbing alcohol (I have to do this because I have field hockey season and I don't want the sweat to make it even worse/dirtier...so I just use the r.a. after practice and then I shower.)
So I thiknk Im cleaning it pretty well -- But what else should I do?
I am extremely concerened this could become serious.
By the way, talking to my piercer is not an option... so don't say to go back and talk to them. (link)

If the infection continues you will need
to see a doctor. This is not a good place
for an infection. You may need an antibiotic
to clear it up.
I suggest a triple antibiotic found at Walmart
or any similar stores. Generic label works fine.

Does Acid show up on urine drugs tests?
B.c. I was told it doesn't bc it stores in you spine and shit and the only way to tell if you've done it is if you have a spinal tap...

This is just my opinion. Others, yourself
included may disagree. However, it will
give you some things to think about.
Young teens are supposed to go out with
friends, boys included, and learn to
communicate and start to find that special
person to spend their life with.
That's why you date different people. That's
why its not the best thing to attach yourself
to just one guy or gal at a young age, but to
look at several different ones.
Dating someone "online" at such a young
age alienates you from those close by.
You don't date other guys, you don't get
out there and socialize with those right
around you. It is very important for you
to do that.
There is nothing wrong with being very
good friends with people you meet online.
You never know what the future might hold.
Maybe you will end up at the same college,
as the adviser before me has seen happen.
But, that is going to be a rare thing.
In the meantime, you don't want to put
your young life on hold waiting for a
time when you might meet your online
friend. You need all those other
relationships and outside activities to
help you grow into a mature person.
Then, when you reach an age when you
are able to meet your online friend,
you will be mature, and have dated
enough other guys to make a good
decision about whether or not he is
the one for you.
Always keep in mind that there are
people out there in cyberspace who
are much different in person than
they are chatting to you online.

I'm a 18 year old Female.
I think i may be pregnant, and i really do not want to raise/give birth to a child. There is no abortion clinics around the area i live in, and i have no ways of getting to a close one(the closest one is 4 hours away). Me and my boyfriend are really not expecting a child, we both how alot of our life ahead of us. So getting to my question, since theres no way i can get to an abortion clinic, are there other ways that i can "abort the child", or "cause a miscarriage"? I'm too scared to confront my parents about this, and don't really know if it's possible i can make an appointment with my family doctor without my parents finding out.
Any answers are appreciated, and i know, i shouldn't be hving sex, because i know this is a consiquence of it, and i also am agaisnt abortion myself, but there is no way i can go on with this pregnancy,(if i am infact pregant) i know for sure i will not be able to raise it, and i would not be able to give it up for adoption.

and be sure. You're getting yourself all
worked up over what may be nothing but a
missed period. Make the boyfriend buy you one.
He needs to be plenty scared and take some
responsibility too.
Nobody on this site will give you advice on
causing a miscarriage or a do it yourself
abortion. We don't give advice here that
could cause harm or that could be illegal.
That would get them removed as a columnist
very quickly. Babies are very well protected.
You are the one in danger should you try
either.
This is one of those problems that a mom
can be a lot of help with. If you find you
are pregnant, I would suggest you go to her
for advice.
I know its the last thing on earth
you want to have to tell her. Been there done
that myself. She will most likely NOT come
unglued. She may not be happy about it, but
neither are you. It won't go near as bad
as you are thinking in your head it will.
You need guidance on what to do. You have
several options.
Abortion is one. Its not a choice I would
make either. If it isn't one you would
make during rational times when you aren't
in a panic, you may not be able to deal with
it when its over. You don't have to go to an
actual "abortion clinic" to have one. They
can also be done in a hospital if a doctor
is willing to do it.
Adoption is a better choice. They actually
have adoptions now where you can help decide
where your baby goes.
Then there is the option to take
responsibility and keep the baby yourself.
Not something that is easy to do. Most
likely you will be the only one of the
two of you to do this. If you are lucky,
like I was, you both take responsibility
and together raise a happy child.
None of these things should be decided on
your own, or in a panic. If it turns out
you are pregnant, then you have to face
it in a mature way. Having sex comes with
responsibility and consequences. You know
that already. When the consequences happen,
you have to face them maturely.
Best of luck. Take that test as soon as
possible.

I'm bloated and constipated all the time. If I'm not constipated, I'm not bloated. I eat enough fiber in my diet, and the only thing that really helps with the bloating is going to the bathroom or eating yogurt (actavia). Problem is, I can't stand yogurt, Actavia is the only one so far that I found remotely edible. Trust me I've tried them all. Anything else I can eat to help with my constipation and bloating.

Any time your body isn't running like it
should its best to see a doctor for advice.
Since you say this happens "all the time",
it could be caused by many things only a
doctor could figure out. Maybe you have a
food allergy, maybe your getting TO MUCH
fiber.
Your doctor will get your medical history
which will help figure out the cause. :)
