I just recently moved from Beverly Hills to a suburb town in Pennsylvania. In Beverly Hills, the popular girls were the ones who wore Versace Jeans, carried Louis Vuitton purses, and checked their Coach watches for the time. I thought that moving to this town where there weren't Louis Vuitton addicts would mean that there wouldn't be a totally popularity ruling, but at my school there ARE popular kids who are taking control of the school! I was just wondering what makes someone popular?

Popularity is supposed to be about how many friends you have but it has changed from that. I live in England and we don't have a popularity problem as big as the one I see in America although we do slightly. To be popular nowadays you need to have the right hair, make up, shoes, clothes, be rich, live in a nice house, throw the best parties, have the best looking girlfriend/boyfriend, go in for all the sporting activites, walk right, be perfect. Basically, most of the really popular people buy their friends. It is better to be popular within a group of nice people than to be incredibly popular and known to the whole school. To be honestly popular you just have to be yourself, don't try and be perfect in order to get friends. Don't become like Regina George on Mean Girls, she was only popular because people were scared or amazed by her. Be popular because of who you are, not who all the sterotype popular girls are. Popularity shouldn't matter anyway, as long as you have a small group of supportive friends then you don't need to be all that popular. I know I'm not and it doesn't matter to me because I have a hand full of friends that I know well instead of a massive crowd that I hardly know. I'm not all that sure if I answered your question or not but I hope it helped you in some small and unimportant way.

how does birth control work? should the guy still have a condom on if your on birth control? and how much does birth control cost?

A guy should still have a condom on if you are on birth control unless you are 100% certain that neither of you have a sexually transmitted disease. Birth control protects you from getting pregnant, condoms protect from STDs.

what is a pre paid cellphone details ideas etc....

It's basically a pay as you go phone. It means you don't have a contract on it where you pay a certain amount a month or get a bill at the end of the month you just put money on it as you go along.

can u get pregnant from giving bloow jobs? swallowing sperm>? help.

No but you can get STIs so you should still use a condom unless you are 100% sure that your partner doesn't have a disease such as AIDS.

My Bride's maids and I bought their dresses today. I fell in love with these dresses right when I saw them. I showed them to my father today and he said that he did not like them at all. I felt horrible once he told me because I like them so much. Now, I don't know whether to keep them or to get ones that my dad also likes. What do y'all think?

I know your dad's opinion means a lot to you but it is your day. If you like the dresses then you should have them, it isn't fair on you to have dresses you don't like as much because you don't want to offend your dad. I personally think that the dresses you chose are beautiful.

Is it normal to still be bleeding the day after your first time?

Yes but if it continues bleeding for a long time then I suggest you go and see your doctor.

my dad recently died and i cried a lot when it happened but the day after i didnt really cry but i think about it a lot. I was wondering if if it is wrong not to be crying and should be.

Everyone has their own ways of grieving. It's fine for you not to cry, some people do some people don't, it doesn't matter. A lot of the time, it is good to cry because it lets out a lot of all the pent up feelings inside you but some people don't need to. Just grieve in your own way.

I got an allergic reaction from copper on my stomach from a jeans button. So it got really itchy. Now the itching has gone away. But now I have discoloration on the spot and I'm pretty sure it's from dry skin. So is there any good lotions that you would reccomend for extremely dry skin?

It is unlikely that it is dry skin. It sounds a lot like a nickel allergy. Nickel is in things such as the buttons on jeans and other clothes and belt buckles. I suggest you go to your doctor and ask if he/she can prescribe a cream for it. The cream wont make the allergy go away but it will clear up the rash. You will probably need to paint clear nail polish on the button on your jeans regularly as this will prevent you getting the rash in the first place. I have a nickel allergy and it comes back as soon as I wear a metal belt buckle. Try to avoid them or paint them with clear nail polish like I suggested.

can a muslim female marry a christain male,

Yes but there may be religious differences within the marriage. There also may be disagreements about the actual ceremony as Christians and Muslims have very different traditions. It is possible, there is no law against it but it could cause problems.

Ok well when I started going out with my boyfriend (about 2 months ago), my mom told me that she didn't want me kissing him, but only hugging him and holding hands. She said that she didn't think that I was old enough to be in the type of relationship in which you kissed in. Well, I felt I was ready, and so when my boyfriend asked me on IM if he could kiss me the next day, I said it would be okay. Well, he kissed me (it was like a one second kiss on the lips), and I have kissed him about 7 or 8 times since then everyday at the end of school. I don't know what to tell my mom, because she will probably eventually find out about it. If I tell her, however, I'm afraid that she won't let me go to the movies, dances, etc. with him, because she won't trust us together. It just doesn't feel right not telling her. So what should I do?

Personally I think that your mum is being a little over protective here. You aren't even full on kissing your boyfriend, just pecking him on the lips. You need to sit your mum down and explain to her that you are getting older and that you are beginning to do things such as kiss your boyfriend. If you go about telling her in a mature way she will see that you are old enough and responsible enough to kiss your boyfriend. Good luck.

I'mm stuck in the middle of my two friends... they always get in fights and its extremely annoying...i m better friends with one then the other, but i dont wanna take sides... wat do i do to stop this?

thx.
annoyed & in the middle

I'm kind of in the same situation, except I'm one of the friends in the fights. I used to be friends with a girl called Jenny, she was okay but now we really don't get on. Recently we had a massive screaming argument and since then we've been bickering non stop. Our friend, Ruth, is better friends with Jenny than she is with me but it still annoys her when we fight. I don't think that telling you about my own situation really helped but all I can say to you is to keep out of it. You don't have to take sides, just stay away from them both when they argue. Encourage them to make up but don't side with either of them.

Many people on this site say they've been fingered and I don't know what that means or how it works. (I don’t want a lot of details if it’s something too creepy)

It basically means that your partner uses his/her fingers on your vagina.

My hair is really long and wavy, and my face shape is round. Will my hair make my face seem longer (which is what I want) or is there another style that can do that?

Long hair generally makes your face appear slimmer, shorter hair will make it look rounder. Long wavy hair is fine but for an even slimmer face you could straighten your hair.

what's moshing?

Moshing is when people at a rock/punk/metal concert basically jump around head banging and slamming into each other. It can be quite painful but no one really cares as it is also quite fun.

hey,
i wanted to start my own web site but i dont know how can you help me

I doubt I'm really the right person to ask about this, I don't know very much about HTML and all that but I'll try to help. I suggest you start with a free webpage builder, I strongly reccomend http://www.freewebs.com. That way you can start building webpages easily before you start learning all the HTML stuff. However, you WILL need to learn it at some point to get a successful website. http://www.lissaexplains.com is the best site for learning it.

I know that wasn't much use, I'm sorry I couldn't have been of more help.

Extra fat around a female's hips/waist area.

are men (guys) supposed to masterbate?

Hell yes. Men are notorious for masturbating. It's what a guy does best, seriously.

ok so im homeschooled... and next year i'll be going into 9th grade. I'm still deciding if i should keep homeschooling or go back to public. All my fiends want me to go back. I want to too but then i have two places i wanna be at.. I love being homeschooled and all but i feel like im missing the socializing... so im not sure which i should go to...
what do you think?
plz help i needa know!
i rate

At your age I think that the best thing for you to do would be to go back to school. As you get older, you're going to want to see your friends more often and if you stay with homeschooling you're probably going to start to feel pretty left out. You've had your homeschooling experience, now you need to go back to school. It will be much better for you in the long run.
