Can you wear a skirt when you have your period? Is it safe to? Because I have my school picture tomorrow and I'm due to get my period tomorrow too! So I dont know what I should do! Help me out here! Thanks
Taniqua's-teen-advice answered Wednesday May 18 2005, 6:41 pm: Of course it safe, just because you're on your period doesn't mean you can't wear certain things. Trust me!
mrs_radcliffe answered Wednesday May 18 2005, 2:56 pm: Of course you can wear a skirt just make sure you bring some pads/tampons which ever you use. Dont wear a light coloured skirt just incase you leak through because then if you were wearing white it would completley show.
XoxBroKeNxoX answered Tuesday May 17 2005, 5:43 pm: No! You will die!
What you should do is hmm maybe use a tampon and then a light pantiliner in your undies that way it wont be too thick and people wont see it sticking out. That reminds me, one time my friend was changing and i swear to God i thought she had a penis because there was something bulging out of her underwear and then im like lol omg its your pad....that was funny, you had to be there, haha. whatever. good luck. hope i helped.

silent_end answered Tuesday May 17 2005, 4:56 pm: Definitly! Maybe as long as it's not white or anything like that, white or anything really bright that the blood could possibly leak onto.
hope i helped

xdesireex0 answered Tuesday May 17 2005, 4:46 pm: Well, why not. Think about it. If you can have your period with jeans or whatever on then why not a skirt. It would probably be more comfortable. lol. Hope I helped!!

fragileivory answered Tuesday May 17 2005, 4:41 pm: Absolutely yes. There's no reason it's not safe to wear a skirt. I would suggest wearing a tampon instead of a pad because if anything accidently is revealed, you don't want the pad wrappers showing. Unless you know it won't be windy tomorrow, then it probably won't be a problem.
Although, since you're due to get your period, just wear a panty liner if you don't have it by tomorrow morning when you get dressed and take some pads and tampons with you.
Karen answered Tuesday May 17 2005, 4:13 pm: Yes, you can wear a skirt while you're on your period but the only problem with that is that you may need to wear a tampon, since using pads will be uncomfortable. It's safe to wear one, don't worry. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
x_mystery answered Tuesday May 17 2005, 4:12 pm: Yup, its perfectly fine. Just make sure either the pads or tampons you're using have a decent absorbancy level, and if you can, I'd wear either regular shorts or better - boy shorts underneath just to be safe. You should be fine, though! Hope I helped! ♥ [ x_mystery's advice column | Ask x_mystery A Question ]
