The guy should always wear a condom even if you're using birth control because there is always a chance it won't work.

well..birth control is 99.9% effective when used properly for not getting pregnant. yes the guy should still use a condom. no matter what! everytime you have sex..he should use a condom. and the cost differs. for me it is 20 dollars for a co-pay..every insurance is going to be diffrent.

er, I don't know much, but YES, the guy should DEFINATELY still use a condom, birth controll does not protect you from STDs, and birth controll isn't 100% effective either. I think it does something to the hormones in your body that allow you to prouduce eggs or something... I dunno.

There are multiple categories of birth control. It sounds like your interested in hormonal birth controls like the pill. They work by stopping the egg from leaving the ovaries.

Condoms should be used even if hormonal birth control is in use. Not only is it possible for factors to cause the pill to be less than optimally effective, but pills do not protect against STDs like syphilis and AIDs.

The price of birth control depends on a lot of things. I would call planned parenthood (1-800-230-7526 anywhere in the US) and ask about clinic locations and cost. They are professional, caring, and will protect your privacy. Their website has a lot of detailed information on birth control linked to from this page: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

If you need help figuring out what any of the information means, please ask. :)

A guy should still have a condom on if you are on birth control unless you are 100% certain that neither of you have a sexually transmitted disease. Birth control protects you from getting pregnant, condoms protect from STDs.

Best method of birth control is abstenence (probably not spelled right, sorry) lol

And I am sure that is not what you wanted to hear.

The facts about birth control is that they are only 97% or so effective, also birth control does not protect you against viral diseases.

They are not effective if for any reason you have to take an antibiotic either. Depending on if you are a smoker or not can also lead to side effects.

The cost is usually a doctor's exam, which in my area is about 75 dollars or so, and the prescripts for the pills is about 30-40 dollars per month.

I will give you a round of applause for being responsible before you plan to have sex, there are way too many teens and younger adults who simply don't think about this and end up with unwanted children.

Poppsie answered Saturday May 21 2005, 5:58 am:
Having a condom on is birth control, but there is other types like the pill that stop you from getting pregnant. Say you are on the pill you shoulg also get the guy to wear a condom because altough the pill is very effective to stop pregnancy it cannot stop you catchind an STI (sexually transmitte desease) where as a condom can. But a condom is still at type of birth control so you can use that insted as the pill and it will work as effective. Im not sure how much the pill or condom costs but you8 can get them from pharamcy, shops and you van request them form your doctors where they are free i think. But you can only get the pill form th doctors and its free i think . Hope this helped!!!

Depending on what birth control you get its between 80%-99% . Honestly yes the guy should still wear a condom , just because your on birth control doesnt mean u cant get pregnant.YOu have to take the pill everyday the same time and u cant miss doses. Birth control im not sure how much it cost but if you have insurence some insurences cover it. you can look up birthcontrol right online. Even Plannedparenthood.com has stuff about birth control on it.
