Dear homeschooled,
I'd go with going back to public school. People cannot gain social skills staying inside the house, so yeah get out into the school world around people your own age. Having no social skills doesn't help in the real world take it from me. Hope I helped

Ok, this is really hard! Your friends want one thing and you want another! I think you should choose whatever you want to do, let alone the opinions of everyone else. If you choose to go to public school, then both problems will be solved--the fact that you want to socialize and what your friends want you to do. And if you are worried about the teachers and missing your parents teaching you then dont worry! Your friends can help you with the teachers and you will see your parents at home. If you choose staying at homeschooling, you can always join soccer or other sports teams so you can meet people. Also, if there are dances at the public school you can always check to see if non-schoolers are allowed to go. that way you can socialize with people and have fun!

Do what you think is right. If you want to go to public school that's fine. I mean, you get to hang out with your friends, and there is plenty of after-school activites that you can do. But you could always be home-schooled. That way, you could be around a enviroment that you know very well, and people that you know very well. It's your choice. Good luck!

I think you should go to public school. You'll be able to see your friends more and going to school can be really fun. If you had never gone to public school then it might be a little strange at first but because you have gone before I think that it will be ok. Going to school can be really fun especially if you have friends there. I really think that you should go to public school. And if you find out that you prefer homeschooling over public school then go back to be homing schooled.

Good luck

Well, to me ive been in public school all my life and its really fun because you get to see all your friends, hang with them, meet cute guys lol, and maybe even have alot of new best friends and who knows u can be the most popular person, but to me you should go to public school because u won't be missing out on your friends!

I think homeschooling is great. I have a friend who did it for awhile, but like you her boys missed the social aspect of going to school every day. I think if you miss it, then you should return for awhile and see how it goes. You really do need the social contact when you get to be a teenager. If it doesn't work out for you then you can always change back later. Good luck! :)

By being homeschooled, your missing out on some of the big things that happen to teenagers. Being in high school really matures you, and you learn a lot of life lessons that you more than likely wouldn't learn by being homeschooled.

Well since I've never got homeschooled I don't no the experience. If you have been home schooled for to long you should go back to your regular school. Another thing is which way of learning is easier. If you learn better at home then stay there if not then go back to regular school.
hope i helped

amanda_x3 answered Saturday April 30 2005, 9:51 am:
i think you should do exactly what you want to do. what your friends want you to do is not always what's in your best interest. if they're good friends of yours then whether or not you're homeschooled will have nothing to do with if they stay friends with you, right? and about the part of missing out on things, i've always thought that homeschooled kids were missing on things like homecoming, parties, prom stuff like that, and it is important so you have to take that into account because stuff like that builds on who you become as an adult. i think you know deep down what you really want to do. so do it. best of luck next year <3

At your age I think that the best thing for you to do would be to go back to school. As you get older, you're going to want to see your friends more often and if you stay with homeschooling you're probably going to start to feel pretty left out. You've had your homeschooling experience, now you need to go back to school. It will be much better for you in the long run.
