A few thoughts I've gathered from my teenage years (and being on this site for most of them!):
1. If you Google song lyrics, the song will come up 99% of the time.
2. Dress to fit your body type, and buy the size that fits. If you're a size 6, squeezing into a 4 won't make you look skinnier. It makes you look fat when you aren't.
3. You will never regret waiting to lose your virginity.
4. There is such a thing as a stupid question, but we're all allowed to ask them.

I like this guy lets call him "Phil"(random name). I have a crush on him, he's at my new school. He plays guitar, is short, but cute, and luvs the same music i do(fob, mcr, p!atd). So today he sits next to me and my friend Tori for lunch. He says I remind him of his ex girlfriend. Now, from what I know from talking to him, he only has had one girlfriend and she and him were together 3 weeks ago, but he asked her to go to homecomeing with him, she said no and she brokeup with him. He was evidently head-over-heels for her.

FYI: I have a short attention span. So i just hear him say creepy and point at me. So i turned my head and said 'What's wrong with me being creepy?' He threw his hands up in surrender and said "I said it's just creepy how much you are like my ex-girlfriend"

He's SO nice and cute! There's a Sady Hawkin's dance comin' up, so i was wondering what do u think he meant by that I'm like hisex, is that good or bad given the past.

Well since he talks to you, it's unlikely he's afraid of you or anything like that. It's possible he is simply referring to an uncanny resemblance, maybe you have similar hair or features.

If you want to go to the dance with him, ask. Being like his ex could be a good OR a bad thing, depending on how he meant it. Show that you're not just another version of his ex. If she comes off as a conceited bitch, don't be a conceited bitch. Know what I mean? Be nice to him, talk about things, and be yourself (guys can tell when you're being fake)

You seem to have a lot in common, so I think it's worth a shot asking him to the dance. Like I said before, once he spends some time with you he may realize that you're actually a lot different than his ex-girlfriend (which is probably a good thing!)

whats the healthiest way to do dry your hair when you get out of the shower; without it frizzing?

Towel dry it- but scrunch it dry, like don't rub it in every direction. If you must use a blow dryer, use it on a lower heat setting and aim it down or whatever direction you want your hair to go. Use a wide-tooth comb on damp/wet hair- it'll keep your hair from breaking so much, which leads to frizz.

Also, as it dries put in a smoothing serum or styling cream. There are so many to choose from. Matrix, Garnier, Bed Head, and Paul Mitchell all make great ones. Choose one that you like the smell of & that's within your budget.

If you were to get your bedroom done what would you do? what color would you paint your walls? what kindof furniture, etc.

and also, I'm 14 and I like the colors pink & black and I love music, punk stuff...I don't know what else. So how would you do my room if you had to. I'm just wondering!

I would paint the walls pink. Go as light as you can, dark colors make the room smaller & they're really hard to paint over. Use black as an accent color. Furniture (but don't paint any heirloom dressers either) get some cheap, unique pieces at yardsales, flea markets, thrift shops, etc. and spray paint them black (obviously outside). Get some old records, maybe, and hang them on your wall (just the record, not the sleeve)- you can get those for under $1.25 at a thrift store & since you're just using them for show, it doesn't matter if they play or not.

Also, get some posters of your favorite bands. I you have the money, get them framed, or get a cheap frame & paint it with any pattern you like- maybe black with white music notes stenciled on or something?. Posters are great because if your musical taste changes or if you deicde to move them around, all it takes is pulling out pushpins or moving a frame.

I would also get a comforter if I could. If you already have good sheets, don't bother buying new ones (unless they're like, Barney, and you hate them, haha) because when you make your bed, no one sees the sheets anyway. A black comforter, or even one with a design you like, will match the look you're going for but you won't get sick of it in three mmonths & it could easily match other room themes.

Oh! Accent pillows. Claires and other stores have pillows in every shape, size, and color imaginable. Plus now you can get speaker pillows, which would work well with your love of music. You just plug them into a headphone port of a CD player, mp3 player, iPod, etc and the music comes out of the pillow. Cool, huh?

My boyfriend is being ajerk. i really care about him but i think he might be getting tired of me. we have a four day weekend this weekend and i left for california. all week before i asked him again and again to call me, just because i knew i was going to go nuts being caught with my family that long. he hasn't called once so far. we may stay longer than we originally planed which would mean i would miss some school. he'll notice if i'm not there. i'm really tempted not to tell him that i'm not going to be there, and instead tell his friend whom i think has a crush on me, and i think he knows it. i really care about him, but it's really making me mad that he hasn't called. i don't know if i should aggrivate the situation by involving the other guy.

Why not just call your boyfriend yourself? It's possible he's been too busy. Think about it, there must be a time in your life when you were insanely busy for three days straight. It's also very likely that he HAS been calling you but the call hasn't gone through, especially if California is far from where you live.

Don't aggrevate the situation by involving another guy. Talk to your boyfriend and see what's up. At the same time there wouldn't be anything wrong with calling another friend of yours to say hello. That would keep you from going nuts too, right?

Why would you want to do that? You should at least tell us the "logic" you have behind needing to break them up. You should probably stay out of other people's business, unless it's an abusive relationship or something of that sort.

EDIT: Well, if you've already told them and they don't believe you, there's not much else you can do. If cheating won't end the relationship, there's really nothing that you do that could.

Hey, i have noticed that your answers were really helpful and i need loads of adivce for what im going through right now.

Im 14/f and just started high school a month ago. Getting straight to the point, most of the guy are getting on my nerves. There is this one guy that sits behind me in english class, and im so confused about the kind of realtionship we have. Let me explain. On the first day of school, he asked his friend to ask me for my number. Then, the teacher moved his desk behind me. We talk in english class, but thats it. Once in a while he would actually say something outside of class, but thats rare. Also, today these two guys called me a bitch. We were in drama class, and i was trying to get my group members to work but they wouldnt. I was really polite but i kept telling them to please work and help out. They didnt want to work, they just wanted to stand around and talk/flirt with the other girls. And when i started to get on their case about working, they would put their heads together and start wispering about me. How rude and disreaspectful. I cant get this out of my head, but i should because i know that i am not a bitch, i just care about my schoolwork. I dont know why this is bothering me so much. Also, i feel like such a loner/outsider/nerd in drama class. I would be trying to talk to the guys, telling them where to go but it would be just like talking to a wall! They would just divert their attention somewhere else or not listen to me or totally reject my ideas. Im the only one in my drama group actually working. The guys would go and hug some girl, and then come back to me, and i would just be standing there, like a loser, waiting for them to come back to do the work. I just feel so, out of it right now. I have been so down since high school started. Please help.

Basically in high school everyone tries to fit in & everyone's nervous, at a different maturity level, etc. Mixing all of these people together is going to cause conflicts just like the one you're having in drama class. You're right in tryig to get everyone to work. At the same time, they're just trying to have fun, too. I don't see anything bad about joking around & such for a few minutes before you all get to work; it'll get everyone in a better mood. Is there a teacher in this drama class? Try enlisting their help if no one will cooperate and work together. Once everyone is more comfortable in the group (you included) things should work out a lot better. Try doing some ice breaker activities, they seem lame but they're actually really fun & get people involved in the group more.

As for the guys calling you a bitch, they're just immature. Also, look at your behaviour- you could be coming off to them as a bitch without realizing it. Smile and say hi, it'll go a long way. It's also possible that they just don't like you, it's not the end of the world if they don't, not everyone gets along with everyone (you'll find that out too if you haven't already). The guy you're talking to in english class- do you like him? If so (and you actually want him to know) be a bit more direct about it because as of now, he most likely sees you as "That Girl in My English Class Who Talks to Me Every Day". Nothing wrong with that, either.

Freshmen year is confusing and fun all at once. Focus on your OWN work, and if no one else wants to work, too bad for them, right? Just enjoy yourself as best you can & it'll be a great year, I promise :)

Your school plays its biggest rival (usually) in football & with my school (and my hometown) every team has a game & a lot of people go and watch. We also have "Spirit Week" and every day has a differen theme. This year we had Plaid Day, Hawaiian Day, and School Colors Day. There's events and activities too, and often you'll have a pep rally of some kind.

There's usually a dance on a Friday or Saturday night folllowing all these activities. If you see questions about homecoming on here, they usually refer to the dance, not many people dance & wear formal dresses at football games :)

It's possible, seeing as the Pill is hormones & hormones are what control all these changes.
Then again, she could have gone up a cup size anyways even if she wasn't on the Pill. It affects everyone differently.

okay i like this guy and he likes me too we were talking on the phone and we were getting to know eachother more and th conversation was going good but when i asked him how many exes he had and suddenly it took forever for him to answer that question he keep saying i forgot but he finally told me he had 7 and i jokingly called him a player and i think he said"im not" in a serious way and i was asking about his exes and he didnt want to talk about it how come he didnt want talk about it?

A lot of people don't like talking about past relationships. There's a reason they ended and he most likely got hurt. I wouldn't bring it up again. Having seven ex-girlfriends doesn't make a guy a player, and since he got upset by it I'd apologize, but not make a big deal out of it either. Something simple like "Hey, I'm sorry I called you a player, you're a great guy & I was just joking around" and then drop it completely :)

It honestly does come naturally. If you think about it too much you'll be worried about how you could mess up. Basically just don't use too much tongue right away & don't drool all over them, haha. And try not to have chapped lips, Chapstick works wonders. Breath is important, mints are good. But if you both just ate something gross it won't be bad, strange as that sounds. :)

There's two options I know of. Digital Cable and a satellite dish. Both have their strong points & weaknesses, your best bet is to ask what people who live near you have & what works better. Try using both interfaces before you order.

Okay so on Tuesday I'm going to be in the studio audience for my favourite TV show. I'm very excited!!

I know what I'm going to wear and everything but two small but very major issues: How should I have my hair and make-up!

Well here's a picture of me without make-up (I think I might have been wearing the smallest amount of eyeliner though) if it helps:

I'm not going very 'glamarous' I'm only wearing ripped jeans and a band shirt. I just want to look alright though not because you'll see me (The camera doesn't go on the audience very much and when it does you don't see the details of the people) but afterwards the guys come out and meet fans so I'll be taking some photos with them, plus me and my friends are doing some group photos so I want to look okay.

I would go with something natural. Eyeliner can be reapplied, surely you'll be able to find a bathroom at some point. Look at pictures you've taken before and what makeup & eyeshadow colors look good. Wear those again, or something similar. Foundation usually only wears off if it's really hot, so your makeup should last all day, but try using some loose or pressed powder to really "set" it & eliminate shine. Your outfit sounds good. It's cute but not overdone. If you wanted, you could wear a cute necklace or something like pearls.

This is a very random question..But lets say my name is like Anna right? Can I change it to Annie? Or, you know...Not change it. Just use it. =) It's basically the same thing, right?

You can be CALLED anything you want. If your real name's Anna but you want to be called Annie, no problem. A lot of people have nicknames.

Now, if you want to legally change your name, as in when you sign the lease for a car, buy things, sign ANYTHING, etc. you'll have to do some paperwork. But anyone can change their name if they want to.

If you're under 18, I'm not entirely sure how you'd go about changing it. Your parents would most likely have to approve. If you don't really hate your name (like some people hate their names because they're named after their parent, for example) it'd be a whole lot easier to just have a nickname. :)

Ok, this summer/fall I decided to start working out more because i really want a toned body. I'm skinny and healthy, but i know i could look so much better. Yes, i am a perfectionist. lol anyway s i have been doing situps everyday and some other ctretches and excersises and now i can feel my abs (my bigest goal-to have abs and eliminate the fat on my hips but on the back/love handles) and muscle on my sides and stuff but you cant actually see them. there is a layer of flab covering my new muscles that iw orked very hard to get and i really want to know what will get rid of this. I've heard that situps don't get rid of the flab so what does??? And i eat very heathily so i cant change my diet. Thanks so much! And i will rate all helpful suggestions! :D

Do some cardio exercises. Running, fast walking, biking, anything that gets your heart rate up for a good 20-30 minutes most days of the week. Situps work the muscle. You can do situps until the apocalyspe begins, but unless you burn away the fat that's covering them (which doesnt make you fat, btw) you won't be seeing your abs that much :) Oh, and make sure you're drinking enough water & not eating too much salt. I would ask for something that you couldn't get already. Electronics may not work for you without an adapter, things have different plugs in Europe & the US, for example. Ask your brother to get you some American clothing. Make sure you figure out your size, it's very simple; sites like ae.com & hollisterco.com have size charts & conversions, and they use metric as well as english. Depending on how much money you can spend, maybe get a handbag or something else designer. Since it'd be a "unique" brand for you it'd be something cool to have. Maybe some inexpensive (like not thousands of dollars) jewelry, and CDs of popular music.

Interesting question. It'd help if we knew what country you're in now, but since you have a computer already I can't iamgine anything you're deprived of, haha. Browse some sites, when you see something cool you like you could ask for that.

Barnes and Noble MAY have it. Call and ask in advance.
