This is complicated. Yes, what your mother did was unfair and she did betray your trust but on the other hand, she IS your mother and she has a right to know what's going on so she can be the best parent she can.
Have you asked yourself why she may have read them? You say you wrote about how you wanted to commit suicide and that you were raped. If you were giving off signs that you weren't happy then your mother was probably worried about you and wanted to get to the core of the problem. Yes, she could have asked you straight out what was wrong instead of going behind your back but at the end of the day, her intentions were good.
When you say she flipped out at you, I doubt she did it in anger. It's more likely that she was worried about you and upset that you hadn't told her.
However, reading someone's diary is wrong and she was being hypocritical. Find her when she's in a good mood, sit her down and ask her to listen to you. Tell her that you understand that she needed to find out what was going on but that it upsets you that she went behind your back and read something private to you. If you make her see that you understand both sides of the argument then she will probably apologize and admit she was wrong. But it may take some apologizing on your part too for not telling her about how you felt about your life and that you were raped.

As to your other question, the answer is complex. A baby can't really be born gay, maybe there's a hormone in them when they're born that causes them to be gay in later life. But you can't tell what sexuality a baby is going to be. Some people know that they're gay from a young age but it really depends on the person. Some people only develop it when they get older, that could mean that they were born like that, they just didn't develop it until they grew up. I'm bisexual but I haven't always been. I only started having feelings for the same sex as I got older, but there are people who were aware of their feelings for other girls or other boys from the ages of 5 and 6.

The best way to lose weight is a simple, healthy eating diet. You don't have to cut OUT food, you just need to restrict yourself a bit more. For example, if you feel like a chocolate bar, have a healither chocolate fruit bar. There are loads of different brands and flavours to choose from and they will satisfy your cravings just as much as a normal chocolate bar would, it's just healthier.
A little bit of excercise wouldn't be too bad either. If you get the bus anywhere, try to get off a stop or two early so you can walk the rest of the way for a change. Or if the place you're heading is in walking distance then why not walk? Cycling is really good for you and is a great way to keep fit and healthy, you could try that too. Also, swimming is an excellent way to excercise your whole body, and it doesn't have to be boring. Organise bike rides and go swimming with your friends. Or if there's a sport you like, get some friends together and go and play it in the park.
If you get into the routine of regular excercise then you'll lose weight and stay in the routine so that you're always fit and healthy. Like I said, don't feel that you can't treat yourself to treats and snacks but try and cut down a little. As long as you're excercising most days then it's fine to eat, just make sure you don't lie around eating and not having any form of excercise ever.
