I've convinced myself that just because the rest of my family smokes, doesn't mean I will. But most people I know say "you never know if you're going to end up smoking yet"
I always tell them "I promise you I'm not going to smoke" and they tell me I cant make a promise like that. Hardly anyone believes me. A few people do but that's not enough. I could start smoking anytime...so when is the right time that they will believe me? When I'm older? I'm still young, and if I'm not smoking now...I'm not a smoker, so why can't I just stay like I am.....NOT A SMOKER. I know a lot of people say that they're not going to smoke and some of them end up smoking, but I'm not one of those people. I counted how much money my family would waste altogether with the money they spend on cigarettes all combined....and thats like 50,000 a year!
That's messed up.
I'm not going to smoke because I already see the way my family struggles with it. It breaks my heart that they're controlled by a poisonous stick. What should I do? Do you think I'm going to smoke just because the rest of my family does? I'm not the kind of person who gives into peer pressure...and I've already turned an offer for a cigarette down.
I'm about to take all their cigarettes and flush them down the toilet...that's how scared I am for them, and it's going to waste a lot of their money, but that will just teach them a lesson. (even though most people say that a if you take their cigarettes away, it will just make them want to smoke more, well I'll make sure they dont) Should I? I'm so confused...and sorry for the length. What these people are saying should not affect you if this is a promise to yourself. Smoking is something you do to yourself, so the only person who can make that choice is you.
If you are intelligent enough to know the effects of smoking and how harmful it is to not only you and others, then I think the choice is already made for yourself. Just stick with your choice.
My entire family smokes, but I have no desire whatsoever to smoke and I know that I never will.
Make the right choice for yourself and ignore these other people who simply wish for you to fail. Peer pressure is all crap, but it gets a lot of people. Be strong and don't give in, stick to what you believe in.
As for helping your parents to stop smoking, have you talked to them about it? Have you told them how much it bothers you? How you fear for their lives? If you want them to quit they need to be motivated to do so, and it won't be easy. If they do decide they want to quit then you should support them in doing so 100% and even if they aren't able to quit right away don't be angry, just tell them that no matter how long it takes you will support them in trying to quit.

Usually if you have a cold or flu that persists for a long period of time, such as more then 2 weeks or so, you should see your doctor just to be safe. Also, if you have a very bad cough then you should also visit the doctor for medication so as to not damage your lungs.
Want to help the situation? Wash your hands and cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze and never touch a public door handle after having just coughed or sneezed into your hand. I carry waterless sanitizer in my pocket when I have a cold because I would prefer to keep my germs to myself. Be part of the solution, save your germs.

Alright I have been working on a method for the death of anyone who decides to replace an 'ause' with a 'uz'. Or any other stupid different way of typing that 'saves time'.
Can I get a message out to all those who do this while I'm here? Thank you. It is not only annoying but it also makes any one using it appear to be a 12 year old kid in 6th grade.
Send me a letter with everything you would ever like typed out and I will personally type it all out for you so long as you never hit the kets w, u and t in succession again. Please, for the sake of all that is holy and good, just type the whole freaking word out. No bombs are going to explode in the nano second it saves by not having to type a few extra letters.
Does it make you look 'cool'? Dear Lord in Heaven no. It just allows people to either a) jump off a cliff in sheer anger and frustration or b) hire a great hitman.

I like this kid named Orlando...I just look at him and I melt. But the thing is, I've never ever talked to him before, and he's never talked to me before and I'm so confused because I don't think it's just a crush, and he is just so cute and funny from what I've seen from him.
In the beginning of the day at school all the students have to go into the cafeteria because classes didn't start yet...and usually I walk in and only him and his friend are there and he looks at who came into the caferteria and I feel like I'm gonna trip or something because his stare catches me off guard....

Well, since he goes to the school in the city my mom works for, one day when i was doing a job I came across his address. I know it's not really polite to pick your teeth at the dinner table with toothpicks (well, better those than your finger I guess, but that's not the point). I thought it was okay to use toothpicks as long as you don't make a lot of annoying sounds and eat whatever you've picked out of your teeth. Perhaps I was wrong.
