hailebop answered Tuesday December 30 2003, 11:06 am: The only way to know for sure is to wait. Sometimes strong crushes and infactuations do feel like love, but the difference is that love is a state of mind that tends to hang around beyond the initial stages of crushing on someone.
Don't worry about it too much would be my advice. It might not be love, but crushes themselves can be great fun and there's nothing wrong with getting to know somebody because you think you like them but you aren't entirely sure. Good luck! [ hailebop's advice column | Ask hailebop A Question ]

Lizzy answered Monday December 29 2003, 2:57 pm: Well, have you ever gone out with him? Maybe you should try the first move and see if you are in love with him because it might just be infatuation. Don't obsses over him though, it's never good when you do. If he does not want to go out with you either he is not looking for a relationship or maybe you guys will make good friends. You only make the mistake of being in love three or four hundred times in your life.
Good Luck

Go from there, talk to him, flirt with him - whatever feels right for you, and eventually, I'm sure you'll be able to tell if you're in love with him or if it's just lust or some other, passing, emotion.
