You need to be supportive. She may be acting excited to cover up her nervousness.
She needs to tell her parents (if she hasn't yet) and she needs to get good prenatal care. Unfortunately 13 year olds have babies a lot. Most come through it fine. No need to scare the girl.
I'd be mad if people called me a slut too. If she hasn't been sleeping around with everyone who asks she isn't a slut. Look it up and set them all straight. She will have enough to worry about without having people call her names.

hi. it says on the ibuprofen bottles that you can only take 6 in 24 hours. (200mg) What happens if you take more than 6? I doubt 6 will kill you. How many will kill you? What are the side effects for 6 pills or more than 6 pills? Thanks (link)

6 isn't going to kill you. I don't know how many will kill you.
The main problem with an OD of ibuprofen is liver damage. Long term use at high doses will cause liver damage. Most people who are on meds that contain ibuprofen have to get regular blood work done to check their levels.
Tylenol is the same story, only it damages kidneys instead of liver.
I stick with aspirin myself. :)

There's this boy I've liked for a long time, since Bush won his 2nd term (I'm 13/f, by the way). Over that time, we've become pretty good friends. Yesterday, he asked me who I liked and I wouldn't tell, because I didn't want him to know. Especially considering the fact that he just got a girlfriend (he's also 13). Then he kept begging and nagging and kept saying that he wouldn't tell anyone and that he keeps secrets well (I know that for a fact, but still I didn't want him to know). After a while, I decided to tell him, because if he kept it up, he'd find out eventually because if it seemed that I sincerely didn't want him to know (even though I've trusted him with other stuff), the truth would be very plain. So I told him, and I said I was sorry. He's really really nice, but I'm really worried that he thinks I'm an asshole. I don't know what to do! I've never liked anyone in my whole life. Do 13-year-old boys usually think their friends are assholes in this kind of situation? How can I stay friends with him? CAN I still stay friends with him? This is long and will most likely get rated down, but I don't have anywhere else to get help! And I know that problems of a 13-year-old aren't as important as questions asked by older people, but this IS an advice site, and the site IS open to 13-year-olds. (link)

It may have shocked him a little if he wasn't expecting that answer, but I sincerely doubt he thinks you're an asshole. There is no reason why you can't still be friends...you were just being honest. I think it will give him something to think about. :)

No it really isn't safe to do it yourself. I don't think you can get a piercing of any kind without permission until you are 18. Here is a website though that may be of help.

Visits to the gynecologist are never pleasant. I don't know anyone who likes going. I don't know that I would call it "bad" really. Just awkward and okay...embarrassing. You're kidding? How petty can a person get. Forget the both of them. If they are going to get mad about something as innocent as that what are they going to do if you should accidently do something worse? Friends don't get mad about things like that. I'm 15 (almost 16) and female.
A certain *someone* constantly complains about my naps. I take naps because I get tired.
In the past I used to sleep extremely late (we're talking about from 2-4 AM or later) during school nights. However, I would also get half of my other sleep during the day when I got home from school, since at night I was busy with homework. I couldn't resist taking a nap once I got home from school because I'd be way too tired to concentrate on homework anyway if I didn't nap.
This is probably a question for high schoolers and up, because those with a large homework load will understand why my sleeping schedule is this way.
Now back to what I first said. According to that *someone* naps are horrible and it's totally killing my health. Okay, I understand if I don't get enough sleep it is really bad for me. But I do get enough sleep. Not to mention I don't sleep that late anymore, I try to sleep as early as I can (latest is 1 AM so far because of homework).
What I want to know is, are naps really that horrible? If you don't get enough sleep will your health be really bad? If you sleep enough, but part of your sleep is at night and part of it is in the afternoon is that bad in anyway? What advice would you give me in order to help me sleep earlier? I understand that *someone* cares about me a LOT, but it gets really annoying to always be nagged about when honestly I already am trying my best to get a normal sleeping schedule and it is really hard to NOT take naps.

You do get in "habits" as far as sleeping goes...which you probably already know! I think it is probably better for you if you get all your sleep at one time, but I don't think it will necessarily do you a lot of harm to break it up either.
I have a bad habit of staying up half the night and then napping during the day too. I hate daylight! :)

I'm leaving for my 1st undergrad year very soon and I don't know what to do about my boyfriend when I leave. Should I try and conduct a long distance relationship?(My uni is in a different country to my home town). Or should I break up with him? Maybe a trial separation till Christmas when I return for the holidays? Or even an 'open relationship'?
Pros
1)I love him. He loves me.
2)My boyfriend and I will have been together for nearly 1 1/2 years when I go.
3)He's very sweet and he gets on with my family.
4)He's pretty good at sex.
5) He's accepting of my sexuality.
Cons
1) He's a compulsive liar.
2) I'm bi and uni will be my first real chance to explore that.
3)He cannot hold down a job. Or school/college.
4)His sex drive seems a lot higher than mine when we're together.
1)He wants forever and a family. I'm not ready to settle down and I never want to get married.

Unfortunately you list some pretty big relationship breakers in both categories. I think you need to take a break for now and see what happens in the future.
I can't see anyone putting up with a liar for any long term relationship. If you can't trust someone you love to tell you the truth...they aren't worth it.
"pretty good" at sex is no good either. Find someone wonderful.
You want a chance to explore so you are probably not as in love as you think. Most people who love each other can think of nobody else but that person they love.
He is 18 and totally irresponsible. Unless you are prepared to be the sole provider in any long term relationship...bad news.
He wants family and you do not. BIG indicator of a miss match.
Go to college free to do your own thing. :)

Simply tell your dad you don't like it and that it makes you uncomfortable. It is probably a habit.
You won't like this but mom has a right to look at things in her house even if they are yours. I know you are probably a good kid and not into anything illegal but a lot of kids your age are not. Be glad she cares enough to be nosey, most parents are not nosey enough.
There isn't a lot you can do about dad and his love interest. You don't have to like her...just be polite for dads sake. You may hate him now but he is still the only dad you have. Mine is a piece of work too so I sympathise with you.
Mainly, just try not to worry about what the adults in your life get up to. There isn't a lot you can do to stop them so just go along when you have to and learn from their mistakes. :)

This might be stupid, because it happened to long ago but I want peoples opinions about it. I'm 15 female, & my sisters 22 female.
My mom has been on asthma ever since she was a young girl, and one night in June 2005 I wake up to her coughing an over amountage & weezing [deep breathing] I was super worried because I didn't know what to do, so I woke my sister up & had her come in my mom's room, my mom started throwing up because she was coughing so much, & she couldn't breath, so we decided we were going to take her to the hospital, because that's the only choice we really had. At this time my dad was living away, but my parents don't hate each other or anything, it's just he moved & they we moved a couple months later. But anyways, when we decided we would take my mom to the hospital my sister goes into her room, changes from her pajamas to regular clothes & then says shes ready!!
I didn't even care what I looked like, I didn't want to waste anytime because I knew that my mom had a hard time breathing, and it must be horrible to have that problem. But, my sister changed and that's what made me really mad, because it just seems like she doesn't care what happened to my mom in that 3 minutes. Blah, well basically I was just wondering, don't you think that that's wrong? I know I shouldn't be worrying about it now, because my mom's perfectly fine now but I just can't stop thinking about it.

You are absolutely right. When someone can't breathe time is very important. Your sister probably didn't realize. The very best thing to do next time is get her an ambulance. They can get her oxygen immediately and other things to help her breathe. But, you did good :)

It is a home game held each year for graduates to attend. A king and queen get crowned by the year befores royalty. It is usually followed by a homecoming dance that is a more formal dance than the usual. Former graduates of the school are welcome to attend if they want to. :)

I have a shirt that I really want to wear, the only problem is that it has one of those slits that goes right between your boobs and no bra that I own really works with it because its visible through the front. Do those sticky cup things that you can get actualy work? Do they provide good enough support, I mean i dont want my boobs to look funny, and I dont want one to pop off and roll away while Im having dinner in a nice resturaunt : ) Has anybody ever tried one of these things before??!!!! Its possible the shirt was made to wear bra-less. If you are small you may be able to get away with that.
I have never tried the sticky cups but maybe you could try them out for a while before you actually put the shirt on and leave the house. I agree it may get you unwanted attention should it take off across the table at dinner! Try them early, if they work then go for that. I wish you a great dinner with no incidents! :)
