you are dumb. and clearly not in highschool. everyone knows what homecoming is. it's a DANCE like prom at the begining of the year. ever heard of homecoming king and queen? yeah... that's what goes on.

Homecoming is normally a dance at the begining of the highschool year. Somewhat like prom, there is a homecoming king and queen announced, however it's not as formal or as expensive as prom.
Homecoming consists of the dance, and the game. The game is the first football game that is at your home feild.

It is a home game held each year for graduates to attend. A king and queen get crowned by the year befores royalty. It is usually followed by a homecoming dance that is a more formal dance than the usual. Former graduates of the school are welcome to attend if they want to. :)
