I hate to tell you there is no way to get rid of a hickey...but there isn't. Like all other bruises it just has to fade away all by itself. :)

A hicky is caused when someone breaks small blood vessels under your skin.
(They are very similar to bruises except you
can't get a hicky walking into a table!)

Once they are there the only thing that I have foubd that gets rid of them slightly quicker is a homeopathic remedy called ARNICA.

A lot of people may tell you to put ice on it (that's just really cold11) or rub butter into it (this just makes you look like a great big grease ball!!) but these remedies WILL NOT WORK (Believe me I tried!! ;o)

Arnica accelerates the healing process, it about £3 for 100 tablets in the uk, not sure how much it'd cost anywhere else but it's not too expensive.

There really isn't any magic cure to get rid of one.. you just have to wait until it goes away. If it's not very dark, she can put some foundation on it to make it less noticable.... if you keep your hair in front of it, no one will even know it's there. Turtlenecks are another good way to hide a hickey, but if it's as warm where you're at as it is here.. that's pretty much out.
