Belly Button
13F (4'10 and 85lbs) I really really want to get my belly button peirced, the thing is my mom said no I think I'm old enough but she doesn't. I'm getting to the freaking point where I'm going to peirce it myself because my mom is such a bi0tch about it. Is it safe to peirce it myself? How can I convice my stupid mom to let me get it peirced? How much does it hurt to get it peirced. And where can I get a belly button ring?

parents are wisest do something they don't approve of and you'll regret it (it goes wrong).
it always happens to me and all my friends. do what you think is best but don't come running to advicenators or your mum if it goes wrong.i advise you not to. anyway your only 13.

No it really isn't safe to do it yourself. I don't think you can get a piercing of any kind without permission until you are 18. Here is a website though that may be of help.

hey hun two of my friends got there belly button pierced and there intestents (lol sorry odnt no how to spell) are both infected and one of my friends had to close hers up. and my other friend cant even sleep on her stomach it hurts so much. i to want to get my belly button pierced but its not safe and could cause major infections that may require surgery. if you want to you should do some research but if you really want to get your belly button pierced then i guess you could risk the chances...good luck

I wouldn't say your too young or just the right age, it all just depends on what your parents say, and I guess your mom said no, I had to wait a couple years after I was 13 to get my belly button pierced..but trust me hun DON'T do it yourself, because you can kill yourself by doing that, once my friend did it and she ended up in the hospital because it got so infected the next day that it sunk into her stomach inside and it got ahold of her intestines or something and she had internal bleeding and almost died..so I suggest you wait til your a little bit older or else just give your mom a couple reasons why you want your belly button pierced and maybe she'll give in..good luck!! but PLEASE don't do it yourself you can really REALLY hurt yourself!

well i think your too young to get it belly button peirced so your mum is right she just thinking of u well you could go behind her back and get it done when u get it done i will hurt i have one and it really sore but once you have done it its totally fine well all girl of your age want it done just think about it and its up to you well all mums get on our nervous i was 15 when i had mine done and its totally safe to get it done i think you need your mum to sign a peice of paper so you can get it done well ask your mum again and see what she says be nice and she might say yeah in the end

Uhm no it's not safe you could kill yourself, especially since belly button peircings are easily infected. Don't trust a fifteen year old to do it, either, even if she did peirce her own. Only trust licensed professionals. For the most part, I agree with your mom...when would you be showing your belly button anyway? You're thirteen...I'm sorry but to me that seems way too young to be showing off your belly! Try to understand your mom's side of it, don't call her a stupid bitch because, well, it's not worth hating your mom for. Trust me soon enough you'll be 18 and you'll be like "Where did the time go?! I feel like I was 13 a couple of days ago." So don't wish your childhood away. Getting one's belly button peirced is not all there is to life. If you do it yourself or get it peirced behind your mom's back, it could cause major problems between you and your mom. Probably for a very long time. Also it will prove her point, that you're not mature enough for a belly button ring. It's better to just compromise with your mom. There is more to life than getting your belly button peirced so just wait a few years, it is not as hard as you think. Think of all the wonderful things you are allowed, like freedom of religion.

Actually, I'd agree with your mother. You are a VERY tiny girl, and you will continue to grow until you are about 18 years old. If you start growing too rapidly, the skin around the ring will stretch and it will fall out and you'll have a big hole in your stomach. Not attractive.
It's NOT safe to pierce it yourself, it can get insanely infected and that will HURT. To get it pierced it's around 45 dollars. And for some girls it hurts, and others it doesn't. It all depends on how you handle pain. You could get a ring from any store that sells jewlery. Wal*mart has it, Afterthoughts has it, Charlotte Russe has it, Claires has it... You can normally take the ring off after 8 weeks. And if your neighbor knows HOW to and has the right equipment, which I doubt, then she could. But I really would say to wait until you are 15 at LEAST to get it done. You would have grown more by then.

if i were you i wouldnt do it cuz you most likely would get an infection, and it would hurt super super bad, wow you are super small, wait til you get bigger
