Hey guys, this is gonna sound really retarded, but I'll ask anyway. Well it started when my brother asked me if I'd read the harry potter books and I said no, they're really stupid. But then he convinced me to read them, and now I'm on the 5th book. I really like them, it's kind of funny, because I always thought they were stupid. But anyway, I'll get to my question. My best friend likes them too, so we wanna have a harry potter party. I know, we're so stupid! So does anyone know what we can do, other than watch the movies and stuff? We already decided on making shirts. I'm making mine say I love Snape. Haha, don't ask. Is there anything else we can do though? Thank you!!

1. dress up as your favorite character obviously.
2. someone can "tell" fortunes
3. Each person gets a "magic wand" when they walk in, maybe it could be made out of a pencil with a sheet of rolled up construction paper over it.
4. Buy some of those hogwarts jelly beans or whatever.
5.decorate your house like hogwarts with candles and stuff.

I want a new look for my room on a LOOWWWW budget. I'm 14/f and My walls are white. My carpet is like pink dots and blue dots and white dots... and I have a pegboard border around my room. I just want a new look!

Well, some girls will act all slutty and try to act older than they really are. And its not fair, but some boys, (especially older ones) like that. My advice is to be really careful with what you are doing and how you are acting around him. Maybe try to get to know him a little better. Talk to him, find some things that you have in common, etc. If he doesn't end up liking you, the way you like him, just be friends, because sometimes relationships with age differences can be very complicated.

i am redoing my room. the walls are white, and the rug is light-blue, which i cant change. does anyone have any ideas on what colors/theme i should use. i'm 14 if it helps.

I think it would be really cute if you made a starry sky/night theme. You could paint stars or stick star stickers on furniture. I'm sure there are sheets and a bed spread with the moon and stars on them at Walmart, K-mart, or even try Hot Topic because they have really cute bed spread/comfortor things. I'm afraid besides surgery, theres really nothing you can do. If you are afraid you won't make friends or you won't get a boyfriend, don't worry about it! People won't dislike you just because your nose is "big" Noses, just like bodies, come in all different shapes and sizes, and you should be happy with yours. Either way, I'm sure you'll look fine. :)

yeah, I don't really think thats going to work. It's not a good idea to date people 2 years or more differeance than you. People might make fun of you and you're a teenager and he's a preteen. Theres this girl that I know and strangely she is 15 and her boyfriend is 12....and well no offense, but I think you could find someone your age if you really wanted to. Maybe when you're much much older it would be okay...but not now, i mean, hes only 12...

I have these friends of mine. They were my best friends. Even though we go to different schools, I still spend lots of time with them. I really loved them, no matter what happened between us. Some people said that I was so stupid that I trusted them so bad that I have never thought bad things about them.
Few days ago, one of my friends came to me and told me that all of my friends were talking bad things about me. I did not trust him, of course, cause I believed that my friends would not do such a thing to me.
Then, when I checked my e-mail, I found a message for me. It was all bad things about me. It was from my friends. I was so shock that I spend my time crying with my boyfriend. My boyfriend, which was my closest best friend too, told me that even though my friends hated me, he would stay with me. But actually, his words did not calm me down. I still worried about my friends. I did not hate them, and I would never do, but I could not forget what they said about me. Now, I'm avoided and hated by my friends. And they avoid my boyfriend in their school too!! I really don't know what to do... Please help me!!!

Awww....that is so low of them! What I would do is forget about them! Don't let it bother you! Send an email back that says: you can say anything you want about me, but you know what?! I'm not going to feel bad and I'm not going to say bad things back because I don't want to stoop down to your low as dirt level! And I'm not sure about your boyfriend....that was kind of harsh what he said....My advice: Dump your old friends and start over again. I had to do that a couple times before i realized who my true friends were.

My vet keeps sending me postcards wanting me to bring in my cat to get her yearly exam and shots. Is this really necessary? When I was a kid, we never brought our cats to the vet. We live in an apartment, so my cat never goes outside or is exposed to other animals. So I don't see a purpose for these vaccines. She was just at the vet 2 months ago for an eye infection, so they know she is in good health. Is it really that necessary that I bring her?

Coming from a person who has four cats, (me lol) I would say that you might want to call up the vet and talk to them about it. There are some vaccines that all cats need, indoor or not, so it depends on what vaccines they want to give your cat. They may not know that your cat is an indoor cat, so it would be a good idea to talk to them. Of course, you should bring your cat in to get an exam to make sure her eyes and everything else is healthy. I know loads about cats, and I know that there are a million things that could go wrong with them, so it is a good idea to get them checked out every year or so.

Twice in the last hour or so I've gotten two hang up phone calls. I am currently in my basement, and it's close to 2 A.M. The caller ID is upstairs, but I don't want to go upstairs because the hang ups have made me nervous. What should I do?

Um dial *69 and it will retrace the phonecall then if someone picks up, you tell them you're calling the police if they don't stop calling and hanging up. Don't worry about it though, I get those sometimes. It might be a computer, or a wrong number.

Today i was happy and ready to go to cheer camp. When i got there everyone was wearing the same color shorts eccept for me, i guess it was required. My mom drove me back home to change but i didnt have that color becasue someone borrowed them and never gave them back. My mom left to work and now im sitting home thinking of waether not i should of gone back. Its a three day thing, yesterday i went but i wore the wrong color and today im not going. they already made up the routine and gave me a spot but now they are gonna change it and i dont feel liek putting up with everyone askign me where i was and i just know that they are going to tlak behind my back.Everyone went besides me and liek 2 peple have areason bc they are on vacation. What do i tell people?

Shorts?! This whole thing is about the color of shorts? Lets think about this logically: Are you a better person because you wear a certain color of shorts? No. You went to cheer camp to have fun and learn some new things. You shouldn't let a pair of shorts stand in your way. Just tell the other girls that cheer camp is NOT about the color of your shorts but the color of your Heart. Have some confidence, girl.

Okay, don't freak out, take some time to spell. And seriously, you're not going to die because you're probably still young, and you can still keep in touch with your boyfriend, you know. I don't know where you are moving to or where your boyfriend lives, but there are ways you can keep in touch. Keep in touch by email, Instant Messenger, and phone. You could even try sending him mail. It might be kind of fun, like every month you can send each other a detailed desription of how your life is going and a photo of yourself. Also talk to your parents about visiting him during the summer. If you can't stay boyfriend and girlfriend, maybe you two could stay friends.

I hate myself. Does anyone have any ideas to stop a persons perceptions of things, or path of thinking change? I dont beleive in any kind of religion and i beleive that there is no reason to anything and that life and existance in general is just so pointless. If people live to be happy and content, yet are mainly overcome by other stronger emotions such as pain and anger what is the point of living? there is no afterlife its just nothing. why be afraid of something you wont be aware of. why bother searching for peace of mind which you already know you will never get. each and everyone of us are unique so no one is. no one will remember me when i die because i have had no impact upon anyone. i have achieved nothing and have had nothing able to be achieved because of how many billions of people in the world that are better then me. nothing has meaning me running around in an endless circle compared to going to school and learning are of about the same value. .. should i get help?

I don't think you have depression. I just think you interperet and perceive things alot differently than most people. You sound exceptionally smart, so I would use all of that knowledge for something useful in this world. Maybe you could become a writer and write books on that kind of stuff, or maybe perhaps even become a pshycologist to help other people out with their feelings since you seem so in touch with yours. You may even want to keep a journal to help you express these emotions. Maybe if it becomes too much to handle, see a therapist and you can let out all your opinions and emotions. You're not the only one out there who feels this way. Sometimes I feel like that too. But then I just remember, "I'm alive right? I got a pretty good life. Nothings perfect."

Leg muscles are basically what you need to walk and run, and even stand. And yes, by excersizing your leg muscles you are able to run faster and leap farther. They are the balance of your whole body so it is important to give them lots of excersize. Some leg excersizes you could do are front or back kicks, jumping up in the air and doing a split, and doing leans, lunges, and squats. Heres some websites that show you how to do them:

I recently recieved a goldfish from a friend. It's orange mostly, with clear fints, some black patches, and a blue stripe next to the fin. I THINK it's girl but i'm not sure lol. What should i name it? And is there anything imparticular i should know to help me keep a goldfish content and healthy?

I like the name patches....since it has some black patches on it. lol

To take care of a fish, simply change its water every day. Feed it every day. (Check at a pet store to see how much to feed it.) Never feed it too much, because then it will become bloated. But gravel on the bottom of the bowl, and you might want to get a filter for it so it can have fresh clean water.

Alrighty my boyfriend and I are constantly fighting over the stupidest things such as whos right and whos wrong. He hates Green Day but i LOVE them and when i got my ticket for the concert he got pissed at me. But i KNOW he loves me and i love him so much i dont wanna lose this. Our 3 month "anniversary" is in 11 days and im so happy with the relationship. But i think his trust issue is getting in the way. And i dont mean for that to sound mean cuz im not TRYING to be. But i NEED him to know he can trust me. Hes accused me of cheating on him with my ex who now lives in germany then felt SOO bad for doing it. He has had a rough time growing up and feels like he cant trust many people. What can i do to help him know he can trust me...with ANYTHING?

Two people in a good relationship need to have their differences. It's not like you two are going to agree/like everthing the one does. I think you should both agree to disagree. Just say: Well, obviously we aren't exactly alike so can we just agree to have our own opinions?

Yes you should be upset. What kind of a boyfriend tells their girlfriend other girls are hot? And if he really cared about you, couldn't he stay at a different hotel? This is harsh but my advice is to dump him before you get hurt.

So, why don't you just take the chance? There are some genuinely sweet people out there who don't care how you look. You might as well go see her because she sounds like she is very nice person. Try not to draw attention to your appearance and don't be all sulking around with your low self esteem. Show some self confidence and thats usually what girls like. Good Luck!
