i'm in 8th grade and everyone i know has had or has a boyfriend, but i have never had one. i am kinda shy and i'm friends w/guys but nothing ever happens withour friendships. but anyways i am moving at the end of the school year and there is this guy i really like how can i get him to ask me out or get a boyfriend before i leave?

I'm never really sure what to say to the question "I love your shoes! Where did you get them?" or any other clothing item because I really don't want to say anything to incriminate me. The popular kids will laugh if you answer anything like "target", "payless shoe store", or some other department store, and the kids that I'm friends with call me stupid if I tell them that I bought them at Hollister. What is a generic answer that I can say that will satisfy everyone?

well theres no right or wrong answer and no matter what ppl say online, yeah people care. haha my friends would call me stupid if i got stuff from hollister...but i do anyway. a simple "i dunno...does it really matter" could get ppl off your case or just tell them it was a gift. if you got it at target, say you got a gift card from your aunt and so you just used it b/c you wanted something new.hope this helps.

I really want to enter the NA Miss Competition in my state, but my parents are big anti-modeling and anti-cheerleading because they think it's a brainless thing that only focuses on the outside. They don't really know that this competition takes grace, poise, and intelligence to win, and it's not even focused on beauty. I really want to let them know, but they have EXTREMELY closed minds about things like that. If I mention the word "model" in front of my mother, she flips out and gives me her anti-modeling speech. My parents are from a rigid family that believes in moral values and modesty, and there is only that in this competition. How can I show them that I want to be in this competition and open their minds to it?

thats a tought situation...this is prolly not what you wanna hear but your better off not doing it. the reason being is that stuff like that has its emotional struggle and its hard when its something your parents dont support or are forced to support. my parents didnt like me playing sports and its a constant battle to get them to take me places and support me. oh and if it turns out to be a total flop (it happens to everyone at least once) theyll just give you the whole "told you so" thing and say thats what they wanted to protect your from. follow your heart.

15/f--i've been dating my boyfriend for nearly the entire school year and we're INCREDIBLY close. however...i'm not a big fan of kissing. Its great fun on the neck or ear...but just frenching or long kisses on the lips...its gross, and i feel like i'm drowning. i don't know if its just something i'm doing wrong, or if he's not a good kisser...or that's just how things are supposed to go and somehow i'm the only person in the world who finds this disgusting. :-/ please let me know what it might be, and anything i could do to help this situation! thanks

well if your close, just tell him that. its not that important in the relationship anyway. if kissing on your neck or ear turns you on more, then fine...no harm done. he should understand. if you think he sucks at it, tell him GENTLY. hope everything works out.

I’ve never been kissed and I was wondering if that is a turn off for guys (if they know). I personally find it embarrassing because I am 15/f. So my second question is, is it stupid that I haven’t kissed anyone yet, at my age?

i know a lot of people...15 and OVER that have never been kissed. its ok! if you were over 20 and didnt then id be concerned.

i was thinking about gettin a nokia 6225. its a camera phone, but its NOT a flip phone. i heard the camera phones that AREN'T flip phones dont take very good pictures. is this true or not?

well im not sure of that rumor but my mom has had 2 nokia phones and both have mysteriously stopped working and the guarentee didnt cover the "damage" so try a different brand. thats just what i know about them but if you want it then by all means get it.

ive recently been coughthing up blood and ive also had a high temperature and sometimes find it hard to breath occasionally it comes and goes what could it be? My mom and dad are alcoholics so they are never really at home i have told my mom thoe and she ses it will pass is that true.

please talk to someone besides your parents! you need medical attention. its not good for you. if your parents cant afford it, there are programs for underage insurance. if they simply cant get up to get you there, find someone that will help you.

i feel your pain. i rarely study but when i do, i turn on some music, sit in a chair (not floor or something comfy) and just read through the whole thing, look at key points & make flash cards. it varies for every subject tho. make sure you are comfortable with explaining everything..that means you know it. try studying with someone that knows what theyre talking about so you can understand it.

im just gonna tell you the truth: relationships before high school arent real. theyre those things that in the real world would be called "one night stands" cuz they only last about one night. you shouldnt be having sex with one of these guys...no matter what. your just starting your teen years so save yourself the drama and say no. if your nervous, dont do more than you want to. its normal to be nervous so just dont let it get to you and make you make really bad impulsive decisions. luck.

kidding, um focus like its the day before the deadline and reward yourself if u dont procrastinate. or give yourself a certain time to goof off...like half an hour or create a schedual and stay motivated. thats all i can think of. it really takes a big problem due to procrastination to get it through your head that you must stop (trust me.)

well if you wanna write with really small vocab, the younger the better. if you want somethin to show off how much spanish you know, write somethin for 3-4th grade. by the way, spanish is my first language so let me know if you need anything.

yep it definatly is! over-doing it is not good tho so try other things besides it for cardio-fitness.

I used to be in gymnastics but I quit and I lost all my flexibility, now my dance teacher is expecting me to do the splits and I can't!
I can't even touch my toes without bending my knees anymore!
How can I get my flexibility back apart from practicing loads, haha?

well if your a teen its understandable because its the hardest time to be able to do that. i really dont think theres anyway to get better besides practicing...dont over-do it tho. its not worth pullin a muscle for. gooluck!

u made a promise NOT to save yourself? im guessing thats a typo. its normal to be with someone and think of somebody else as long as you dont act on it. mend the fight or take some time off. go a few days without seein each other then youll be more excited about the whole thing after. hope this helps!
