ive recently been coughthing up blood and ive also had a high temperature and sometimes find it hard to breath occasionally it comes and goes what could it be? My mom and dad are alcoholics so they are never really at home i have told my mom thoe and she ses it will pass is that true.
This could be any of more than a dozen different problems, all of them are EXTREMELY SERIOUS.
This isn't something you "wait out."
Go to the phone, dial 911 and tell them you are coughing up blood. There will be somebody there right now. THEY will take it seriously. This is no joke. I am not kidding. You will not get in trouble, you MUST DO IT NOW!

You need to get to the Doctor and fast. This can cause terrible damage and i know this may not be good to hear but you need to get out of that house hold you are being neglected.
Good Luck... God Bless!

LoveNJstyle answered Sunday May 22 2005, 9:23 am: please talk to someone besides your parents! you need medical attention. its not good for you. if your parents cant afford it, there are programs for underage insurance. if they simply cant get up to get you there, find someone that will help you. <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]
silentkate answered Saturday May 21 2005, 9:43 pm: You need to get to a doctor. Your parents refusing you medical help is neglect. If they won't take you talk to another adult, a teacher a school nurse, and ask them for help. [ silentkate's advice column | Ask silentkate A Question ]
orphans answered Saturday May 21 2005, 5:57 pm: No! Something like that won't pass. Call child protective services, or 9-1-1 even. You aren't in a safe enviornment if you say they neglect you, and there are foster homes in your area that you can be sent to. Before you call anyone, talk to your mom and tell her you will call the police for child neglect unless she takes you in for help. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
OrionsFire answered Saturday May 21 2005, 5:17 pm: If you are truely coughing up blood, it could be Tuberculosis in which case you definitally need to get to a hospital because you need to be quaranteened. The other thing that it could be is a severe Upper Respiratory infection, but if it has gotten as far as this, then you need to get to a doctor because you could be having asthma attacks from the congestion in your lungs. sunkistsarah answered Saturday May 21 2005, 3:35 pm: You definitly need to see a doctor, no matter how you get there...maybe a friend or a friends parents can but coughing up blood is VERY VERY bad and having a high temp. doesnt make it any better. If you wait for it to pass it could come back and be worse and and your shortness of breathe could get worse and worse. I don't think anyone on here are professional doctors but these symptoms are not good! Please find a way to see a doctor!
Good Luck!! [ sunkistsarah's advice column | Ask sunkistsarah A Question ]
