Im 16, and i just got diagnosed with genital warts. Its a big shock to me. iv had a steady boyfriend now for 7 months, and we both have it. I dont knwo who got it first, but anyway; I wanted to know how long does it take for it to go away with, the medicine I bought? I got a perscription for Aldara, and i want to know how long it will take to make them go away? and if theres any way to make them stay away? (link)

Genital warts never go away. Although sometimes, it may be visible to others that you have genital warts, like during an outbreak.

A couple things you should know though- you might not be able to have children (that is if you are planning on it) vaginally. It is possible for a mother to pass the warts on to their child. I believe a C-section will be enough to ensure that your kid is genital wart free, but you would have to check with your doctor.
Also, if you and your boyfriend have had past partners, you should notify them about your genital warts. They could be passing it on to others, without knowing.

i guessed my mom's password for her email and it was right.. i know i shouldnt have, but i looked at all her emails with my aunt. i've been having a hard time lately w/ cutting and things and i didnt want my mom to tell anyone (she found out, bc my school found out and yadda yadda..im seeing a theripist..not important)but in these emails she told my aunt all about it. i am kinda mad but i cant say anything bc I wend snooping. im feeling really guilty and dont know what to do..any sugestions =/ (link)

Your mum is probably having a hard time handling the fact that you cut. You cutting doesn't only affect you, it affects your friends, and family too. Your mom was probably talking to your aunt about it to help her cope. As soon as your mum gets a grip on it, she'll be able to help you get better. Forget about the emails, move on to thinking about getting better, and stay out of your mother's emails. How would you feel if she went through yours?

I never got a chance. He never game me one. For 3 years i begged for him to want me, even for one day. His name is Drew and he is a year older than me. All you need is some perspective to see that there are way bigger tragedies in life than this. Go watch an infomercial about starving African children, or Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
Or spread nasty rumours about how big of a jerk he is- although from what you said they might not necessarily be rumours.

Hey I just have a little question, everytime I am in the shower after I wash my hair and rinse it out and even when I rinse the conditioner out a lot of my hair just comes right out! Like not in huge chunks but in like a lot of strands and stuff! Is there any reason that this is happening? If anyone knows could you please help me? It usually only happens in the shower, not when it is dry! (link)

it's normal to lose hair throughout the day, and if your hair isn't falling out at this frequency when it's dry that could be a reason.
It could also be due to stress, like others said, or an iron deficency. Try eating more greens (spinach in particular) and meat or taking an iron supplement.

both of my ears only have one pericing, and i want to make alot of other peircings myself but im a little scared and i kinda, dont know how to do it. i want to do my cartiladge on the top and another hole by my first hole on the lobe. but i want to get an industrial (its like a bar that stars at your cartilage and ends somewhere on the bottom somewhere, im getting that professionay done if i have the guts) so i dont know if thats going to interfere with my peircings. i wanna do it myself but im not sure what teh steps are. does anyone know how/have experience? or are there any sites with pictures and explanations for me (someone who is realy slow). ive never done anything like this before and any info would be great! thanks! an industrial is not a piercing you want to do yourself. Even when it is done professionally there is a chance of keloids, your ear collapsing, and it being pierced too shallow, causing pain and it to grow out.
Bmezine.com is a great site for any questions you might have about piercings. It has pictures and stories from people who have had whatever type of piercing you are looking at done.

I really want to change my religion, I am a Roman Catholic I just don't believe in their thoughs and such. I am not sure what I want to be. Does any oen have any past experience? Is it like a legal thing if you want to change religions; like you have to get papers? Any help or comments or info about other religions would be greatly appreiciated! (link)

It is legal to change religions, but how you convert depends on what religion you choose. The three main monotheistic religions of the world are Christianity, Islam and Judaism. To convert to another branch of Christianity, generally you will be baptised. To convert to Judaism you will have approach a Rabbi three times before you are considered. To convert to Islam you simply need to declare the Islamic creed infront of another believer.

Your school might offer a course on world religions. Some terms you might come across in your search are polytheistic and monotheistic. Polytheistic means the belief in many gods, while monotheism is the belief in one god.

I've had a really, really sore throat for the past 3 weeks, which was the last time I made out with someone. This kid was saying it sounded like when his friend had mono and that I should check it out, because I have some of the other symptoms of it as well [fatigue,headache,body aches,abdominal pain],but I wasn't sure if that's true because it has been three weeks.

mono is a possibility, or it could just be the flu, or strep throat. One characteristic of mono is swollen glands, which you can feel under your armpits, your jawline (just a little bit further forward from your ears) and where your leg joins your torso near your pubic bone.
Go to the doctor, only he or she will be able to tell if it is mono with a blood test.

My friend and I are going to dress up as a nerd/geek for twin day at our school. We can't decide what to wear. So far we have black glasses with tape, and suspenders that have Ninja Turtles on them and another one has Spider man on them. What else should we wear. We are girls so not "guy" type of stuff. short sleeve, button up shirts with a breast pocket. The breast pocket is absolutely necessary to put your pocket protector and calculator in. You can even top it off with a sweater vest, if you like.
Draw some "zits" on your faces using red make up. Get some lipstick on your teeth, or pencil in a unibrow. Carry around a "retainer" case, just for show, or an empty instrument case if you want to be a band geek.
It'd be nice if your pajama bottoms were too long for you, and exposed your mismatching argyle socks.

you absolutely cannot force your beliefs on another person. Religion is a personal thing. Religion isn't important for everyone- some people get along fine without it. If your friend doesn't want to go to your church-LEAVE HER ALONE.

I believe this means that you did not have a birth certificate until 1972. This is possible if your parents simply didn't get you a birth certificate until then (which seems a little odd) or you immigrated to America in 1972. I'm having trouble finding information on American birth certificates, so it might be best to double check with your parents.

if you are totally sure about this marriage, then you guys can wait. What does it matter if you are only engaged while you are still finishing school, it's just a matter of time. Plus that way, once you are out of school, you'll have a job and can have the wedding designed to your tastes because you'll be able to foot the bill yourself.
You probably don't want to hear this, but you have a lot of growing up left to do, and may change your mind about your boyfriend. It's alot easier to call of an engagement than a marriage.

nothing beats bacon coated in lard, and then deep fried! Serve it with a side of melted butter to dip in, on a plade made out of peameal bacon, and eat it with a fork made of bacon. The plate and for may also be deep fried, or microwaved, if you so choose.

Yes, I realize these questions are asked ad infintum, but here we go.
I am 17, as is my girlfriend. We have only been dating for about 3 weeks, but we have already established a strong bond. I'm working on Valentine's Day itself, so I'm attempting to come up with an idea of what to do on whatever day we both have off that is closest to it. I know that I would like to take her out to eat, but what else? Shall I bring chocolates to give? A picture frame?
Also, she usually comes in to see me when I'm at work and she isn't, and Valentine's Day probably won't be an exception. Should I have something to give to her there?

go ice skating. Yeah it's corny and cliched, but it's still cute. If you don't have an ice rink, then you just suck. Or try and figure out one of her secret interests. Maybe she's just dying to go to bowling, or to a museum, or "paint your own ceramics" or a musical but doesn't want to look like a nerd for suggesting it. Depending on how much the actual activity costs, and I'm just guessing you are paying for the whole thing, I'd say that's more than enough.
When she comes to visit you on valentines day, give her like a card and maybe some chocolates, but use the card as an invitation to the great date you are planning.

apshurby had a really good answer. There are some things you can do at home to relieve the pain without taking pills though. Try and keep the lower half of your body elevated, keep a pillow under your legs or if you sleep on your side, keep a pillow between your legs. Keep ice on your lower back- never heat! If you have to sit for long periods of time, like in class, bring a pillow, or even a sweater to support your lower back.

It depends. Some people need hypoallergenic earrings or a certain grade of gold. If you are putting just regular earrings in your ears and need certain ones, then it's going to hurt, most likely get red and itchy and possibly have a bit of a "crust" around it. Claire's does sell earrings for sensitive ears, but they tend to be more expensive.

a sore throat and ears usually means an ear or throat infection. The only thing that can cure those are antibiotics, so get to the doctor!
For the mean time try a decongestant to unclog your ears and nose.

it's basically like cracking your knuckles. Air gets into the cartiledge and when you bend your knees it is forced out. As long as it is not painful you have nothing to worry about. If you are experiencing pain along with the the cracking, go to the doctor.

My boyfriend is in rehab and could be there for up to six months, most likely four months and three weeks. I hang out with his friends and write him letters every day (it's been a little over a week) to help miss him less. My question is, is there anything else I can do to miss him less? What are the chances of me cheating on him? (We were going out for one month when he left he's 17 I'm 14) Has anyone been through this same situation? Please help I'll rate. (link)

I'm not sure how the whole rehab process works, but I think in a little while you will actually be able to visit him, and talk on the phone, which might make it easier on you. Remeber to stay supportive of him, it will make his stay and sobriety easier, and might help him finish sooner.
As for the chances of you cheating on him, if you don't want to cheat on him you won't. It doesn't just happen; people make conscious decisions to cheat.
