mono?
I've had a really, really sore throat for the past 3 weeks, which was the last time I made out with someone. This kid was saying it sounded like when his friend had mono and that I should check it out, because I have some of the other symptoms of it as well [fatigue,headache,body aches,abdominal pain],but I wasn't sure if that's true because it has been three weeks.
Does anyone know if mono is a possibility?

People call mono the kissing disease, so the fact that you made out with someone is ironic.*lol*. Anyway, you should get tested just in case, because those are the symptoms. It could easily be something else though, like a cold or something. But just to be safe I'd get tested. Good Luck!!!

Yes mono is a possibility.That actually sounds like the only thing is could be.Definateltly go see a doctor!

Mono is definately a possibility! i have had mono before and those are all symptoms! you definately need to go get it checked out! its a blood test that dosent take to long... but you need to find out so you dont get anyone else sIck! :( good luck! and i hope u feel better if you have it!

Yes, mono is a major possibliity.You should go to the doctor right away, especially if you are having abdominal pains because your pancreas could burst.

Absolutely, mono is a possibility. Take it from someone who had it back in my teens. You better have it checked out because, untreated, it can only become worse. You will need to take very good care of yourself. Hope you feel better soon.

my best friend had mono for a month...it's highly contagious, so lysol everything you touch. go to a doctor and drink fluids. hope this helps!!

yeah...mono is a possibility. or it could be other throat sicknesses..such as strep throat or the flu. i would go to your doctor and get it checked out.

mono is a possibility, or it could just be the flu, or strep throat. One characteristic of mono is swollen glands, which you can feel under your armpits, your jawline (just a little bit further forward from your ears) and where your leg joins your torso near your pubic bone.
Go to the doctor, only he or she will be able to tell if it is mono with a blood test.

mono is a possibility,but i'm not absolutely positively sure.i've heard you get mono by kissing someone but i'm not sure if it's true or not. you should tell your parents or your doctor and have an appointment made to check it out. i hope you feel better!
