Hello! I am studying esthetics at an Aveda Institute after spending years in retail. I am proof that nothing turns out how you think it will, and that's a good thing. When you think you've got it figured out, you don't. Life would be boring otherwise, right?

First of all, calm down. Being gay is perfectly fine. Have you ever considered that maybe you're bisexual? (In case you don't know, that means you're attracted to both girls and guys.) Either way, if you're really upset about it you may need counseling or whatever, or call a hotline or something. (Google it) Your parents will eventually have to know but you don't have to tell them right now if you don't want. Just hang in there, if you want just keep it to yourself for a bit. See what happens.

Hi.
If I don't wash my hair every night then my hair gets and looks so oily.I usually do wash my hair everynight but every once in a while i don't have time. Does anyone know any products that i could use to make my hair less oily or anything i can use so it doesnt look oily....please.

If you have oily hair, you definetely need to take a shower every day. I recommend Suave Clarifying Shampoo, it's really cheap and works well. Also remember to wash your face every morning and night, and use toner. The reason your hair gets oily is usually because of oil on your face, so I'd recommend getting blotting sheets (I like the Clean and Clear brand kind) for PE or whatever. You can get all of these products at Walmart or your local drugstore. Here are some pics:

I like these a lot better. You can bring them around with you so when your face gets oily (usually forehead area for most people) you can just wipe it off.

Clarifying toner-

This is really nice, and you could also put it in your purse. It basically dries out the oil without drying out your skin.

moisturizer-

The reason your skin gets oily is because it gets dry and produces oil to make up for that, so you need a shine-control moisturizer.

If you don't buy anything else, buy these. They're really great to carry around with you and prevent oilyness.



Also, make sure to change your pillowcase often, because oil can stay on there.

Of course, you don't have to buy these products if you don't want to, and certainly don't buy all of them. They're just suggestions. I'm not a saleswoman or anything, but these have worked for me, so just pick one and try it!

ok...for the last day of school, before break, i wore white pants...because they were white, i work a thong...im not a slut, so i dont let it hang out, and i usually wear a belt with my pants, but these were nice pants that i didnt need a belt for...well during lunch, i was walking up to my friend and my guy friend wanted to hug me from behind, but ended up steping on my pants adn everyone saw i was wearing a thong. he didnt pants me, but some people saw the string...i know its not bad to wear thongs, but that was a pretty embarassing situation, and i didnt want everyone knowing. tommorow i go back to school, and i dont want everyone laughing at me...what do i do?

Well, you can't stop him from liking you, but he needs to understand that you don't like him. It really depends...if you just heard he likes you, that's okay- it's hard to get over a breakup, and maybe he's a little hurt. But if he's approaching you about it, you need to tell him you don't like him (politely- if all else fails, there's always the old "let's just be friends". If he's making you uncomfortable, tell someone, but otherwise just wait it out.

I'd wait until 2nd semester was over, because right now there's finals and all that fun stuff. So wait a little while. And remember the first day of 9th grade? It's gonna be like that all over again. okay, one of my kinda close guy friends [who likes me more than a friend] bought me a necklace for xmas... the thing is, he "forgot" to take off the price tag which was stuck on underneath the box.. it was $129.. the price tag was also inside the box kinda hidden under the necklace plate. obviously he wanted me to see how much it costed? lol what do u guyz think?

i'm thinking about dying my hair...
i have pretty pale skin, light brownish/blonde...it's VERY VERY dull looking hair, and brown eyes.
first of all, what color do u suggest i get to flatter myself..

well you see my dad just got up and left last night...he didnt tell anyone where he was going or when he would be back, we didnt even know he left...so after awile i called his cell...he answered and when i asked where he was he told me driving...i asked where, he siad the mountians when i asked when he'd be back he said WHEN I FEEL LIKE IT! and hung up!...i havent slept in my room becuz im scared he'll show back up and hurt me...hes a drunk and a very mean drunk...im really scared and upset becuz im daddy's lil girl and i want him home for christmas but aty the same time i wish he would leave forever! i dont know what to do anymore...plz if you have any advice plz tell me!

Aw, I'm sorry. I completely understand- my dad is a jerk too. I think your dad is just trying to get attention so DON'T let him see you're upset. He needs to seriously change, and that won't happen if you keep forgiving him.

I wear tinted moisturizer on my skin and nothing else.. except blush. But my question is, since I don't use any powder, would it be bad to use a powder blush? Or should I use a liquid blush.. (or w/e its called.) And does anyone have any reccomendations for fair skin? Like brands that I can buy at Target. Thanks!!

In winter, it's ebst to wear creams on your face if your face tends to get dried out, but if you have tinted moisturizer it's best to use a powder blush. I recommend JANE Blush in Glowing Earth.

ok so, what do you do if you're stuck in this situation:

your dad had an affair for 3 years .. without telling your mom or you or your brothers

sounds bad enough, right?

well .. he's still with the whore and expects me and my brothers to warm up to her... be nice to her .. accept her into the family and what not. oh right, and to add to that: she has a 2 1/2 year old son who is annoying as hell.

she comes with us on vacations, and i know my dad spends the money ...that he needs to 'save' before we're able to buy a BASKETBALL HOOP? ... on her

thats not right.. and i've tried having those long serious chats with him. he thinks i'm just doing what my mother does ... hating her for no reason. she screwed over my whole life, why shouldn't i hate her? ...what should i do? and don't say i should try to like her .. cause thats not happening .. other than that i'm up for any ideas

Ooh, I know exactly how you feel. I'm in almost the same situation.

I had to be really rude to my dad for him to realize what he'd done. I'd send him a letter letting him know how you really feel. Don't swear or anything, just tell him what you told me. Tell him he's really hurt you and you're not ready to forgive that. You need your brothers' support on this one. Make sure to mention that this has nothing to do with your mom- my dad tried the same thing.

You're never going to like or respect this woman, and that's all right. But your dad needs to respect you a little more.

Look for a wig website. As weird as it sounds, that's where I found the perfect cut. Or look in magazines- they sell hair magazines at grocery stores.

I guess the subject line says it all. I constantly flip-flop between Christianity, Atheism and Buddhism. I like a little of all, and I can't seem to choose one faith. I always change my mind. Is there something wrong with me? Am I flaky? It's just that a faith is an important choice, and I'm afraid to make the wrong one.
I like all three, but I know I have to pick one.
What should I do?

You don't have to have a set religion- have your own set of spiritual beliefs taken from several religions- it's what a lot of people do.

What should i get my mom and dad for xmas? i dont have any money and i cant go out and buy anything so i was wondering if any of you have any ideas on what i could give them or make them? i hope you have some ideas because i only have 2 days! i will rate for effort! ill give you a five!

What I did was make my mom a picture frame, you'll need a wood picture frame and a few colors of acrylic paint, all available at Walmart. The frame will be about 3 bucks and the paints are 87 cents a bottle. Paint the frame and decorate it. Put a picture of you guys with a mushy card.

Or bake them something yummy.

Or make an IOU book: IOU a car washing, a starbucks, breakfast in bed, etc...

Bring them breakfast in bed christmas day.

Or just a nice long mushy letter.

Ever since I started taking taekwondo, my back has been hurting a lot. I'm only 15/f and I don't want a bad back at this young of an age and I don't want a bad back when I am older. And I would never quit taking taekwondo, I love it so much and I am trying to get my black belt. Any advice on what I should do? Thanks in advance.
