hey! -- i have the same problem. i wash my haiir and the next day its all oily ... yuck! but anywho, try using baby powder, its soaks in the oil. maybe you get that because you use to much products - that is how i got my hair too oily. i used gel, mousse, hairspray, whatnot andn now my hair look like crap, haha. or try going to a drugstore or somewhere that they carry beauty supplies and asks them. they'll probably be the best help...ok well good luck and tell me how it goes. *lollypopgurl769-ange*

Washing your hair and blowing it out, straightening it deff can be a MAJOR pain! A little secret that I know (works best on people with blonde hair but if you are a brunette it still works) is use baby powder all over your roots before you go to sleep. If you have brown hair, be careful with the babypowder, its really visible and you may be able to tell if it all hasnt come out overnight.

If you have oily hair, you definetely need to take a shower every day. I recommend Suave Clarifying Shampoo, it's really cheap and works well. Also remember to wash your face every morning and night, and use toner. The reason your hair gets oily is usually because of oil on your face, so I'd recommend getting blotting sheets (I like the Clean and Clear brand kind) for PE or whatever. You can get all of these products at Walmart or your local drugstore. Here are some pics:

SHAMPOO
Suave-

Herbal Essences-

Herbal Essences fruit fusions-

Any of these three will work.

FACE STUFF
Face cleanser-

This is pretty nice to keep at home.

Face wipes-

I like these a lot better. You can bring them around with you so when your face gets oily (usually forehead area for most people) you can just wipe it off.

Clarifying toner-

This is really nice, and you could also put it in your purse. It basically dries out the oil without drying out your skin.

moisturizer-

The reason your skin gets oily is because it gets dry and produces oil to make up for that, so you need a shine-control moisturizer.

Blotting sheets:

If you don't buy anything else, buy these. They're really great to carry around with you and prevent oilyness.

Also, make sure to change your pillowcase often, because oil can stay on there.

Of course, you don't have to buy these products if you don't want to, and certainly don't buy all of them. They're just suggestions. I'm not a saleswoman or anything, but these have worked for me, so just pick one and try it!

OcherryfaerieO answered Saturday January 8 2005, 3:18 pm:
Ok, well SEVENTEEN magazine had an article in it's Nov. 2004 issue about making greasy hair look clean when you dont wash it. (it's on page 31 of the issue) It shows how to use hair powder to make your hair look lessy oily. Blondes should use white powder, but if your hair has a richer color, then you should use colored powders that will blend better. The magazine reccomends Bumble and Bumble Hair powder, $27, 888-7BUMBLE.

Another solution is water free shampoos. (Psssssst, $6 @ Walgreens or Philip Pelusi Refreshair, $30 @ phyto-life.com)

If you just want to style your hair to make it look less greasy 17 reccomends Braiding or putting a scarf over your hair for long hair, and for short hair, add gel to your hair for a slick ponytail or pining it, because hair looks less greasy with no part!

hope all this info helps! If you need anything else, please ask!

~Kayla

Hey. My hair sort of does that too, so I always shower every morning before school. If you don't have time I suggest you pull it back or braid it or something because otherwise people will think you don't wash your hair! People with thicker hair typically don't have this problem. You could try switching shampoos but I doubt that would help much. If you don't have time to shower maybe you could spritz some water onto the top of your head and blow dry. ♥

Shelbyjune answered Saturday January 8 2005, 2:30 pm:
If you're low on cash -- and who isn't these days? -- look into the Suave brands. No one has to know and it isn't their business anyway.
But hairdressers these days say that more than once a day washing is not always good for your hair and if you can go more than one without washing your hair it's better. The oil in your hair actually conditions it and makes it healthier. Hair is dead protein (not what the commercials say), so the oil you see is a defense mechanism to your daily washing. Try washing your hair on Friday, hiding on Saturday and washing it again on Sunday. You can train your hair to look great with washing every other day (honest!). hope it helps

Christeena answered Saturday January 8 2005, 2:16 pm:
Try using a clarifying shampoo, it'll help get out all the oilies. Pantene makes a good one! Also, try not to use too many hair products, that might be the cause also. Hope I helped!

Try switching to a balancing shampoo and conditioner. I can't name any specific brands but go and browse the shampoo section somewhere, I'm sure you'll find one.

Shampoos that are specialzed to reduce oil in oiy hair..that way if sometimes you don't wash your hair every ight the shampoo should work and make your hair look less oily. I think that most lines have it..for example herbal essence, suave, pantene maybe? Just look around your grocery story and see which one you wanna try.
