just warning you, this may get long!
last night me and my boyfriend of nearly 3 years were in my room and sleeping. not fooling around, literally sleeping. then my dad comes in and freaks out bitching like we had sex or something.
the situation is that i'm the only girl in the family and they treat me like crap. i do the dishes almost every night, take care of my sick grandma, do the laundry, clean the house, and do well in school yet they still look down upon me like i can't be trusted. i am a very responsible girl and i have had enough of them snooping through my room and checking up on me.
the only possible reason why i think they could be acting like this is that we don't communicate very well with each other, let alone get along. maybe bitching is their way of talking to me? even so, that doesn't explain the overprotectiveness!
my question is what can i do to make them trust me? i feel like i've done everything, all ending in failure.
i used to really HATE them for what they put me through, but when they made an effort to BE NICE things got better. our relationship has improved over the past two of months, but after what happened last night, my grudge against them has returned.
please help, i don't know what else i can do. it seems like nothing is ever good enough for them...

Sorry my first answer did't do it for you.I do agree that they should be more respectful of your feelings.They shouldn't be rude to your boyfriend either.
If you have tried and still can't communicate with them I don't know how to help you. I am only telling you what I would do in the situation, I have always gotten along with my kid's friends. And the occassional one that I didn't like I tolerated until they came to their senses ( they always did).
Maybe their behavior is a cultural thing I really don't know.I can only work with what is written by you.You sound like a hard worker.
I will wish you well in your studies.Good luck with the boyfriend. If he is uncomfortable around your family could you go to his home?

I was wondering what skills and work experience, would be appealing to add in a resume, applying for a nurse position?
In our english class we are learning to write resumes and I realized that I don't have any accomplishment to brag so far, nor do I have any work experience! It is not common here in the Philippines to work before graduating from college (for the middle and upper class), but this summer I'm thinking of changing that (I think.).

Since I have worked in medical field I think I can help.
First and foremost, people skills.Nurses deal with a lot of people everyday and being able to deal with diffrent situations is going to look good.If you are unable to work because of school, see about volunteering a couple of hours at a nursing home everyweek.That will look good on resume and probably get you some good references in the future as well.Do volunteer work in a hospital.Both of those things should help you a lot in the future and could even possibly lead to future job offers! You answered your own question.Stay away.If she won't talk to you and is ignoring you-talk to someone else.She will probably get jealous herself and talk to you again, if not , well who knows you might make a better friend with the person you talked to.

ok so like i have those type shorts that everyone wears and they have a little cut on the side. Right you know what i am talking about? Well i have a bunch of those. Plus i have long legs with awesome thies and caves. My sister thinks i wear them way to short. I just think that the shorter the skinnier i look. When they are long i look short and fat. Then my sis gets some and she wears them shorter than i do and she is 10!!!!! I brought it up to her and she got p.o.ed! Isn't the reason we wear them short is b/c girls feel like they are sexier? i guessed my mom's password for her email and it was right.. i know i shouldnt have, but i looked at all her emails with my aunt. i've been having a hard time lately w/ cutting and things and i didnt want my mom to tell anyone (she found out, bc my school found out and yadda yadda..im seeing a theripist..not important)but in these emails she told my aunt all about it. i am kinda mad but i cant say anything bc I wend snooping. im feeling really guilty and dont know what to do..any sugestions =/ (link)

i have a boyfriend.. we'll call him R. R and i have been dating for 7 months. The first 5 months were great! He's been starting to hit me, he kicked me, and I fell and I had a bump on my head last week. Last night he tried suffocating me. I've also been told about him flirting with about 5 other girls at school. 2 of them are some of my best friends. Oh, by the way, I'm only a freshman in high school. He's a sophomore. Grrrr... this makes me so mad... My sister is tottaly whipped by her boyfriend she is 19 and has a 1 year old daughter. Okay I am bi polar and have a lot of depression and I was talking to my sis about that and her boyfriend butted in and said he didn't give a crap and that I was spoiled and just wanted attention... well anyways my niece has like set rules in that house becasue of Nathan and my sis Listens to him.. she can't have her TV on when she goes to bed and he said is it just me or is 3 bottles during the night enough and my sis said ok we won't give her that much.. I mean casue my niece wakes up and thats how she gets back to sleep. She needs to get back together with her babys father... I am getting so sick of her new boyfriend and don't get me wrong my sister loves her baby to death but this guy has got to go he is turning my sis against me.. WOW, where do I start!
1)you can't unfortunatley do much about sisters boyfriend.Anything bad you say to her about him will most likely piss her off, so, don't go there.
2)Try talking to your sis about your problems when you have her to yourself. No boyfriend around.Maybe she would give you a little "girl" time. Have you asked? Try it and see.Your problem is not her boyfriends buisness anyway.
3)unfortunatley again,you can't tell your sis how to raise baby OR who she should be with.I agree that it sounds like some changes would be good for her but that is her decision to make.
Just stand by because she may get sick of this guy in her own time. I know it's hard but time does change things.Most of all-learn from her mistakes okay? Hope this helped, Please feel free to ask follow up question if I missed something.
