The girl can put her arm either around his waist or shoulders or basically where ever she feels comfortable. Most girls put their arms around a guy's waist but some put them around a guy's shoulders. It really doesn't matter where you put your arm.

I think that you maybe should put your arm around him but don't make a move unless you are totally sure that he is doin g it because he likes you...
