I was wondering what skills and work experience, would be appealing to add in a resume, applying for a nurse position?
In our english class we are learning to write resumes and I realized that I don't have any accomplishment to brag so far, nor do I have any work experience! It is not common here in the Philippines to work before graduating from college (for the middle and upper class), but this summer I'm thinking of changing that (I think.).

First and foremost, people skills.Nurses deal with a lot of people everyday and being able to deal with diffrent situations is going to look good.If you are unable to work because of school, see about volunteering a couple of hours at a nursing home everyweek. That will look good on resume and probably get you some good references in the future as well.Do volunteer work in a hospital. Both of those things should help you a lot in the future and could even possibly lead to future job offers! If I can help in any other way, let me know.Good luck! [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
