Hey... My parents just bought me a 2006 Jeep Liberty, 3.7 liter V6. I have been searching Jeep forums and reading a ton! I can't figure why i cant spin out the back tires (Yes its Rear wheel Drive..) I'm wondering if it has a governor chip or something to do with the computer system in the truck... PLEASE HELP ME!! (link)
|
First, I take no responsibility for any damage this may or may not cause to your new Jeep.
IF its an automatic:
1.Apply light pressure to brake pedal.
2.Put gear selector in lowest gear possible.
3.Put your gas pedal to the floor.
(It is possible your Jeep doesn't have enough power to spin the wheels)
4.Release the brake and drive off in billowing clouds of white smoke.
This will cause damage to engine, transmission, driveshaft and U joints, rearend and tires. And is illegal on the street. You would be better off finding a local drag strip to play on. Most of them do have test and tune nights where you can safley play to your hearts content.
If you don't know if there is one in your area, let me know and I will find the closest one to you.

15/f... I have a really abnormal period and horrid cramps(the doctor has put me on birth control and perscribed me vikodin for the pain of my cramps)My mother had Ovarian and cervical cancer when she was pregnant with me (Which she was supposed to get taken care of before she was pregnant)and I have had papsmears and they came back negative for cervical cancer but the doctor wants to do tests to make sure i dont have any other cancers in my ovaries or to make sure i dont have endometriosis (sp?). Could I have possibly got whatever is wrong with me b/c my mom had that stuff when she was pregnant (before & after) with me? Also, I'm really scared of what the test results will be and if I have either ovarian cancer or endometriosis can I die from it or can it cause other situations down the line? And if I were going to have sex would that make it more complicated?
Sorry This is so long I'm really confused and need help. I will rate high for descent answers...

Your doctor is running tests just to be on the safe side. And for you and your moms peace of mind.
I don't believe you could have got cancer from your mom while she was pregnant. Since she did have it though it is something you will want to watch for in yourself.
My husband has a lot of cancer on his dads side of the family. Doctors have told him cancer is not hereditary. However, out of 11 children on his dads side all but 3 so far have died of cancer. I would be inclined to err on the side that it is.
That being said you need to have yearly check ups throughout your life. Just to be safe. Most caught early enough are treatable, as I'm sure you know. Your mom is living proof. :)
Write down all your questions and grill that doctor next time you go in for a visit too. :)
Endometriosis has its problems to live with. I found a good website for you to check out. It pretty much answers the rest of your questions.

I'd have your grandmother talk to your mom for you. Better yet have her help YOU tell her. Maybe she could be there to answer any questions your mom may have about it. :)

Hey, don't know if this is the right catagory but...
How normal/ok is it for teenage guys or girls not to wear underwear occasionally?
Is it just a matter of preference or is it weird not to? Is it difference for boys and girls?
Just wondering!
(link)

If you want to go without underwear then I see no reason why you can't. Boy or girl.
I mean really, I would think it was more comfortable than wearing a thong and having a string up your...well, you know. :)

ok, i have a stye on my eye, and it hurts really badly. I can't blink without feeling pain. What can I do to make it go away? What are the causes of styes? Also, I have an eye doctor appointment tomorrow (4/24). Is the stye going to affect it? Will my doctor still be able to do all the tests he needs to do (its just a regular check up).
13/f if that helps.

A sty can be caused by many things. Makeup...even your own can indeed cause them as I think someone else already mentioned.
I have a web site for you that will help you out.
The best person to tell you about sty's is your eye doctor! So seeing him tomorrow is great!
It probably won't affect the rest of your eye tests and he can probably give you something to help with the sty. If it is even still there, many are gone the day after you get them. If that happens mention it to the eye doc anyway. :)
*********NOTE***********
LOL, actually it is one of those words that can be spelled either way. You did alright! :)

If someone says like, 'I got wood in class' what does that mean? (link)
|
If the someone is a guy, it means they got an erection. :)
Erection...The firm and enlarged condition of a body organ or part when the erectile tissue surrounding it becomes filled with blood, especially such a condition of the penis.

OK I went out with this guy for 3 weeks and he ended up cheating on me but he told me that he cheated and apoligized and evrything but so i dont know if i should like him or not and also im leaving for a whole year in like 2 months so i was thinking maybe i just shouldnt like anyone and let everyone i start meeting just be my friend since theres no time to get close and let leave... so i havetold my ex ^^ that Im leaving cause were starting to workthings out... so I was wonderring do I think I should tell him and just be I dont want to like you, or date you cause I have my reasons and its just not worth it... How do u say that nicely well sorry this is so so long?? (link)
| |
I think you just tell him that since you are going to be gone for a year, you should see other people. When you come back you can see if you are still interested. :)

I have an account on myspace. About three weeks ago I went to log in and I got this error message:
Sorry! an unexpected error has occurred.
This error has been forwarded to MySpace's technical group.
I can do anything on the site as long as it doesnt involve logging in. On the other hand if I get on my mom's computer or any other computer there is no problem logging in. I emailed the tech support at myspace over a week ago and still havent heard back. Its driving me crazy. Please, anyone with any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. (link)
|
Since its been in the news so much lately...
What are the chances your parents might have blocked it on your computer somehow?
Actually, you are the second person to have a myspace problem like this recently. Maybe they are checking into accounts or something.
Best bet will be to wait and see what they have to say at tech support. Hopefully they get it resolved for you soon. Keep checking back and hopefully you can get in soon. :)

There is this guy that I like and he likes me back, the emotional and physical attraction is really strong. theres a problem though, im 13 about 5'3 and hes a year younger but 4'10 or 4'11. while standing up even if i lean down i couldnt kiss him comfortably, is there a way i could kiss him without it being awkward? thanks (link)
|
Sure. Don't kiss standing up!
Chances are he will have a growth spurt before long and either catch up with you or shoot right on past you in height. For some reason girls seem
to mature a bit faster. :)

Is it possible to make a new part line in your hair? If it is how would I go about this to make a new one?
I've had a straight down the middle of my head for about as long as I can remember so a new part would be nice.. Please and Thank you :] (link)
|
Sure you can.
You may have to train your hair a little but it can be done. Just use a barrette or bobby pin to keep in place until it will stay on its own. Maybe on wet hair and then remove it when its dried.
Not all people will have to do that but if it won't stay then that's how you'd do it. :)

I am kind of new to the site, and have never asked a question before. If I ask a question, just as I am asking this one, is there any way people can tell what columnist is asking the question?
Thanks a lot for the help. I'll definitely rate fives to all answers.

Only L2 moderators and higher can see who you are. If they feel the need to look.
More often than not they won't look. :)

what SPECIFIC major is for somebody who wants to become a newscaster? (like reading the news on tv, radio, etc.) thanks! (link)

I think your main course of study would probably be broadcast journalism. That would probably cover about anything you might want to go into. :)

theres this guy that i went out with for like a day or something and he just said it wasnt working out so when we broke up and all that stuff i had to sit by him in health class and i was just ignoring him and everything cause i STILL like him but i dont know if i should just get over it or tell him. (I wrote him a note telling him that i still cared for him but it was never heard what he said) what should i do?
in case it helps i am 13 years old and as you can probaly gather i am a girl (link)
|
I think for now you just forget having him as a boyfriend anyway. At 13 he probably just isn't very mature yet.
You don't have to ignore him though. You can be friends if hes willing. Maybe then in a couple of years he will think of you again. :)

My grandmother is 69 years old and was diagnosed with parkinsonism in august 2004.She started her medication with indernal and selegiline and had gait problems, unsteadiness and difficulty in braking and turning. In june 2005 her medicines were changed to tidomet 125 mg and pacitane 2mg with no improvement and by august her previous symptoms were increasing. In december 2005 she started taking rapitor .5 mg , jumex 5 mg and parkin 5 mg.By end december her parkin was tapered off , jumex was stopped and ropitor was tapered off and stopped by end january. In january she started pramipex .125 mg and had severe freezing and began stooping more.In february her pramipex was increased to 3 times a day with no change at all.And by april her pramipex was increased to .5 mg 3 times a day but her freezing has increased along with unsteadiness. She is deteriorating at a rapid rate which is not supposed to happen with her illness. Is her medication correct? What should she be taking otherwise? Why is she deteriorating so fast?PLease advice.
Thank you (link)
|
I really don't know why she is progressing so fast. I do know my mother-in-law was diagnosed a couple of years ago and has also, like your grandmother had a very rapid decline.
I was always under the impression that it was slow in progression too. That seems to be what is
written everywhere.
Her legs had bothered her for years. She had a lot of trouble with what they called restless leg syndrome. According to her doctor, this could have been a symptom of it years ago that was overlooked. It was just seen as an annoyance but wasn't investigated further.
I also have a website for you. This disorder..which is treatable I might add...is something to look in to. If she hasn't had an MRI
or cat scan please check it out. I learned of it on a news program and its often mistaken for Parkinson's disease! Your grandma may indeed have parkinson's, but make sure she has been checked for this because as I said it can totally reverse
those symptoms. :)

My throat is all swollen and sore. Its very hard to swallow, breath, and I cant talk anymore. I'm freezing cold; even during my volleyball game, when everyone was sweating and it was so hot. I haven't eaten in a few days, cause nothing will go down without excruciating pain.
I can't get to the doctor until Monday,
has anyone else had this? Is it just strep? (link)
|
Might be just a sore throat but if its strep you'll need some medicine to get rid of it. Strep
throat is nothing to mess with and can get quite
serious if untreated.
In the meantime this site has some tips for home care that might make you more comfortable until Monday. :)

It's hard for advice if the question needs to be brief as there's no background on which to base the answer.
That said, my 15yo daughter (not living here) is showing many signs of a teenager in trouble; she recognises life's tough for her at the moment yet when I've suggested therapy or councelling she flat out refuses. Those close to her have tried to councel her but I feel she needs someone she's not related to, before she'll open up and face the turmoil in her life (some she's created and some out of her control).
I am seriously concerned for her welfare and have tried seeking advice from the "welfare system" which was unable to help.
I'm a 42yo single mum with another daughter 14yo living with me.
Has anyone any advice that is practical? (link)
|
What do you mean she isn't living here?
Is she not living with you?
Go ahead and add what you want to to help us understand. You may get less answers overall
but those who take time to read it will give you better answers.
Don't rate this I will edit it after you give more info...should you decide to. :)

No matter what I do, I seem to get water blisters all over my feet every single time. How do I avoid them? How can I get rid of them? (link)

Here is a website with the causes and how to prevent blisters in athletes. I'm sure it will
have something useful for you. :)

Could be you have a hemorrhoid. If it continues see a doctor. No matter what it is you should get it checked out. Anything different from the normal should always be checked.
Here is a website. Check it out and see if any of the symptoms match what is going on. :)
