Ok guys this is kind of long...
Ok well I like this boy but he doesn't like me. I always get this feeling when I am around him. I want my friends to ask him to go out with me...but I don't want to give away that i like him because that would just be totally enbarresing, So i was wondering what my friends could say to him and to not give away that I like him...

In all honesty, I think the line you two make a cute couple is something that might work on a girl but not a guy. They don't give a hoot about looking like a cute couple. :)
I think a simple I think she likes you, do you like her. If he says yes then follow up with why don't you ask her out.
Forget not letting him think you like him. Young guys fear being rejected. If he doesnt think you like him...hes not going to risk asking.

1) Optometrist... usually receive their doctorate degree after four years of college pre-med courses and four years in an accredited optometry college. Optometry would be the major.
2)Dermatologists also have medical degrees in dermatology.
3) A columnist for a newspaper or magazine would first probably need a degree in journalism. A lot of columnists today, those that give advice like we do here, are psychologists at the very least. Probably to ward off lawsuits. :)

okay. i have had my period for about two years now and it has always been regular. this month im about five days late so far. i have never had sex, but is it possible for me to get pregnant still?... when i suck my stomach in, there is a little lump there and like wehn i push on it, it feels funny... could i be pregnant?! No you wouldn't be pregnant if you haven't had sex.
If you are feeling lumps in your stomach though that you don't think belong there, tell your mom about it. Get an appointment with your doc and have it checked out.
Anytime you feel changes that just don't seem right to you, have them checked. :)

i have what i thought was a bugbite on my hip. i noticed it about a week ago and it is getting smaller i think... it is a circle that is red with like dry skin in the middle. someone told me that it could be ringworm... im really paranoid about that.. so does it sound like ringworm?

Try putting some athletes foot cream on it. Ringworm and athletes foot are the same fungus.
It is not a "worm", in case you wondered. :)
If that doesn't work then check with your doctor, who can give you some more potent medicine for it.

sorry idk what catagory to put this under but whatever.
every night i take a shower but every other night i use a shower cap and dont wash my hair. a few people at school said that its bad to wash your hair everyday. i know it strips the oils out but should i not wash it every night? should i not wash it 2 days in a row? my hair is really thick and after taking a shower, my hair gets frizzy. what are some ways i can prevent friz after taking a shower? also i straighten my hair every morning but i dont like burning it so much, i just hate having it so frizzy when i wake up. so, what are some ways i can keep the friz down after taking my shower (and the results will last long through the day).

Ok my question is about my prom.... there is this guy at my school, and last week he was hinting a lot about prom and me... for example we went to the mall and he picked out a prom dress for me and told me i looked great in it (i looked horrible) and lots of other little things, now that i am thinking about asking him this week hes changed a bit, a doesn't mention prom as much. Does he still want to go with me( or did he want to go in the first place)? should i ask him? and how should I? i just want to go as friends and have a good time, but i am afraid of rejection. Just ask him, would you like to go to prom with me? Ask him right now...go call him before you get cold feet.
He sounded interested enough to help you with the dress. He may think you don't want to ask him so has backed off a bit. Go call him. :)

If your boyfriend agrees to it I don't see what would be wrong with it.
I am sure he would like to meet your friends and they him. He may even make some new friends himself.
Just make sure they don't get to horsing around and ignore you. Groups of males at all ages do that sometimes. :)

Hey, I'm 14 years old, I was just wondering if it is possible for a 14 year old to get the birth control pill, but only use it for like a month. Because, I'm going somewheres over the summer for 2 weeks at a camp, and my mom and i calculated the weeks, and most likely i'll have my period then...and i really dont want to get it, because i'll be taking a lot of classes, and i dont want to have to ask to use the bathroom all the time... I'm still using pads, i dont like tampons, maybe tampons would give me more time so i dont have to change my pad every hour...but, get back to me on that whole birth control pill. I don't know if one month would do the job or not.
In order to get on the pill you have to have a pelvic exam and all that hoopla. If you go to that trouble it may just be a good idea to start taking it full time. Then you will always be certain of when you are getting your period. You
would be safe when the day comes you decide to have sex...even though it may be years down the road yet.
Discuss it with your mom and see what she has to say on the subject. I am sure your doctor can help you decide on which way would be the best for you. :)

Heather, I have been on birth control (orto-tri-cycilin) for about 2 years now. The first year was deifnitally rough constantally missing pills, so my period was always off. Anyways, I have been very consistent with taking them for over a year now, this past week was spring break and insted of taking them at 8am before school, i was taking them around 10am. Also, I ended up missing one half way into the week. I then started my period 2 days after missing it, and that lasted about 3-4 days. Two days after that I woke up the next morning and was bleeding again. It was from the night before. Then it stopped for that day and the next full day. Then it started again, and stopped for a day. And last night I woke up and have been on my period since last night.
Does this sound normal? I mean, could all of this be because of that one missed pill? Or should i definitally go and see a doctor.

I would call your doctors office and talk to the nurse. She can tell you if this is a normal thing or if you should be checked out.
I can understand it starting the first time, the other times though are a little odd. All pills are a little different though so check with the doctors office. :)

Today at school my mates were saying that I look like Nanny McPhee! I do have a big nose & bushy eyebrows but I try not to care about looks at all, whereas looks are the most important thing in my mates lives.. it's not just my mates who think I look hideous, they printed a pic of Nanny McPhee & kept asking teachers if I looked like her, and they all said, "well I'm not trying to be mean.. but yeah, she does". Now I feel terrible, I have no confidence whatsoever as it is, I have huge problems with talking to people and stuff.. Anyway, how can I make myself not hideous and revolting? Thanks :\ (link)

You know what you should do? Go to the friend you trust the most and have her help you with a make over.
There isn't a girl around who couldn't use a little advice on makeup and hair and all that stuff. Get you some magazines, some web sites and
have a sleep over. It will be fun for both of you. :)

I don't think you necessarily need to break up. I think you first need to ask him and see if something is bothering him. Find out if something is happening at home.
If he doesn't talk to you and continues the behavior, then you make the decision about breaking up. Which, I would do if he doesn't knock it off. :)

Today in Life Skills, my school counselor told us girls "all 13-year-old boys care about is looks." (it's not a co-ed class) She also went on to say that 13-year-old boys only like girls with big boobs and a big ass. She said that they are very shallow, but the best thing for us to do is wait for them to grow up.
Is this really true? Do boys only notice boobs and butts on a girl and nothing else? It doesn't make me feel too good knowing that, because I certainly don't have a big butt and big boobs, and I'd like to have a boyfriend.

A lot of boys may be that way. They are immature at 13...that's not big news.
I do think the teacher was kind of out of line to lump ALL 13 year old boys into that category.
All boys, no matter what age they are seem to be fascinated with boobs. They don't have to be "big" either. Its probably because they don't have them themselves.
So, don't feel bad. You will get a boyfriend one of theses days. 13 is a little young for a big romance anyway, but they will mature before long. :)
