karenR answered Friday April 28 2006, 12:33 am: 1) Optometrist... usually receive their doctorate degree after four years of college pre-med courses and four years in an accredited optometry college. Optometry would be the major.
2)Dermatologists also have medical degrees in dermatology.
3) A columnist for a newspaper or magazine would first probably need a degree in journalism. A lot of columnists today, those that give advice like we do here, are psychologists at the very least. Probably to ward off lawsuits. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
