I'm Christina, and I'm 27. I tend to be brutally honest when I give advice or an opinion. I don't tell people what they want to hear but rather what they need to hear. They don't always appreciate it at first, but I usually get a thank you in the end.

In my completely honest opinion, I don't think you are. Call me a bitch, but it's my opinion. Just because you're not good looking to me doesn't mean you won't be pretty to others.

13/f. Im not sure how I like my friend. As in bff or bf. Weve been really close friends for a long time then he started saying bffs so I did to because I tell him more than my other bffs and he tells me a lot and were always there for each other. But then we flirt so much people think or say were dating or should but were not. He knows I liked him I know he liked me befor the party because we told eachother. but I have no idea now. I went to a paintball party recently. We both go paint balling a lot then at the party my team was my 5 bffs 3 of their bfs and him. I would mainly go with him. And we flirt so much that’s what im so confused about. He was showing off and when we separated he was looking for me? But im the kind of gothic violent rough girl and hes the kind of prepy nice guy. Other guys I used to like and they liked me would be rough im rough to everyone also. But hes to nice. Is that what it should be like. But now hes been wearin a lot of black and depressed. Does that mean something. But then we do joke or do shoot each other on purpose. he was talking to my other friend about something ‘top secret’. later on she started truth or dare. And it started out just my 5 bffs her and him and another guy. I kept doing truths I was just to nervous. I knew it was a setup. He asked truth to me if id ever take a dare. Then my bff asked truth to me if I liked him then truth to him if he liked me we both said no. I regret it. Everyone already knew anyway but im just not sure if I like him bf or bff? And ive never kissed or been kissed. That’s what it was supposed to be. I thought wed start taking it longer than just a ‘dare’ kiss like making out or something. I like him as a bf then bff then bf then bff I just am not sure whats wrong. Hes all I think about and write about.
i really need help soon. if i dont do it tomarrow it will probly never happen between us. we tell eachother alot of stuff and we both knew or thought before the party that we liked eachother. You like him as a boyfriend, and he likes you as a girlfriend. Ask him out, and don't worry about kissing, it comes naturally.

I've had insomnia since I was twelve. Though when I slept over at my fiance's apartment (We just slep together, no sex or anything.) I slept through the whole night. Why?

You could've just felt safer & more comfortable with him than when you do sleeping alone.

My shoulder hurts so badly, from carrying my backpack. It's been like this all year, and it got even worse recently. I think that it might be considered a muscle knot, but I'm not sure.
Besides visiting a doctor, taking advil, and using a different kind of backpack, what can I do to make it feel better?

You should have both straps on both shoulders to prevent shoulder pain. If you're getting shoulder pain, you might develop scoliosis, so you really need to get that checked out.

Also, make sure there's padding in the straps of the bookbag because it adds comfort & prevents scoliosis. Carry some books in your hands instead of your backpack to make the load less heavy. But definitely see a doctor about that.

16/f. My best friend, a guy, talks to me all the time about shit that goes on with him, like at home(his home life is very f***ed up). Mostly it's on AIM. And I'm really glad that he talks to me, cuz we have a history(long story) and we are best friends. But a lot of the time I don't know what to say in response. I'll say I'm sorry and stuff like that, but I feel like I have to say more. But like what? I just need him to know that I will always be there for him and he can talk to me about anything, and I'm sure he knows that, I've shown it. Do I need to say anything else?

When you don't know what to say because you're either at a loss for words, or just really don't know how to reply, just tell him "Well, I'm always here for you when you need me. Remember that." I don't think you need to say anything else, but when he comes to you [like he usually does], try & be there for him. Keep doing what you're doing, and be his shoulder to cry on.

For some reason everytime I cry my best guy friend looks like he wants to, but he never does. Why is this? Why can't boys just cry? I've always wondered. Like what will it take to get them to cry? I'm just curious, thanks.

Guys can cry, but choose not to. There's this whole thing with them about being manly & strong, and that if they cry it'll make them less of a man or a loser. So they choose not to. It's okay to cry, but they don't realize that because basically all their lives they've been told "MEN ARE STRONG, MEN DON'T CRY." It's just a thing. I watched a video on it, and I witness it first hand everyday since I have a brother, and a dad, obviously.

Some guys don't care & will cry, but most guys don't. It's just a guy thing.

It means they've grown as much as they should have, and they don't have to grow anymore. Making them fully developed.

I am 15, i think that might help, it might not. Anyway, one day I was talking on the phone with my mom, and I was talking outside. There is nothing wierd or wrong with that, right? Well, to my mom it was, because i like to talk outside a lot because sometimes I dont want my parents to know what i am talking about. Well, that day my mom calle dme on the phone. I told her I was outside and she said, "I hope you're not doing anything you're not supposed to." For my mom, doing something you're not supposed to is drugs or alcohol. I told her I wasn't but right before I got off the phone with her she repeated that statement. Some of you may think it is a silly thing to worry about, but it is for me because I lost some family members due to lung cancer form first and seconde hand smoke. But the thing that made me really mad was that I was on the other line with my friend, who I had only know for two years, and when I told her that she knew I wouldn't do stuff like that. I guess what my question is, is how do I make my mom beleive that I am not smoking?

I agree with the person below me when they say that your mom might think you feel guilty if you decide to talk to her, but I think you should talk to her anyways. Sit her down & tell her you're not doing anything you're not supposed to be doing, & you wouldn't think of it. Tell her that since you've lost people to diseases due to smoking, you would never think of touching it. And you've got better things to do with your time. But tell her that calmly. If you throw a fit, then she'll probably think you're lying to her, and then she'll get pissed or she just won't trust you.

As for when you're on the phone, I do that too sometimes, or I just go in my room. I have a lock on my door so basically no one can come in unless they have the key, but they usually don't. And try to talk to your mom more. I realize you're at the age where you might hate your mom & want nothing to do with her, but your mom can be your best friend & the more you tell her things & talk to her, the easier life can be for you. I'm still figuring that out the hard way because my mom bugs the hell out of me, haha.

for my english class we have to write a creative story. it can be about anything, but im having ALOT of trouble picking a topic.. i have about 5 days to write it... so any ideas? THANK YOU TO ANY IDEAS !!!

Write about an out of body character that goes through really horrible crap, but makes it out alright. Not only is there a moral to the story, but it'd be interesting too. =) Good luck, and have fun!

I'm gay and I dated a 14m that has a brother that goes to my school. It got really complicated and I think I fell in love with him. My problem is this, I am moving in two months and I kinda told him that I wish nothing ever happened between us and that it was over and that I never wanted to see him again.

I think I answered your question about this earlier when you asked it a few weeks ago.

First off, why did you tell him that? Did you really mean it? If not, you need to go and tell him that you're sorry, and that you didn't mean a word of it.

He's probably really upset & confused. I realize you're moving, but that's no reason to take it out on him. Even though you're moving, try and renew your friendship with him, & stay in touch.

He's only 14, don't break him like that. Good luck.

theres this guy that i used to be really close with but now he's kind of at that stage where he doesn't eat, he doesn't talk to anyone, he's always fighting with his best friend and he always works and studies to hard. i don't know what do say to him, he won't listen to me or to anyone else. he thinks that what he's doing is fine and doesn't care. what should i do?

Something may be wrong at home, or just with him. If you & his other friends can't seem to get through to him, tell a trusted adult & get him help that way. They can help in ways you & his friend cannot.

alright i have been going out with my boyfriend for like 2 weeks and when we talk on the phone its mostly about kid stuff so we got into an argument about somthing and he was like do you want to break up with me i was like no i didnt say that so he was like if you break up with me i am going to break your heart and i was like what do you mean by that but he just kept saying if you break up with me im going to break his heart and i was like what if i just like another dude hee was like i dont care do what you do but your heart will be broke though??????????????? what does that mean??????? Talk to your boyfriend about it. Threats are gonna get him nowhere, but they could soon turn into something else. He was saying that if you broke up with him, he'd get his revenge & break your heart right back. I think he sounds abusive, and I would try to get away from this kid as much as possible. It'll be hard, but when you do & he comes after you [if he does], file a restraining order.

You need to talk to your friend about this. She might be asking for help, but she's giving herself an eating disorder. Tell her that if she wants to lose weight, she needs to do it the healthy way rather than killing yourself. If she doesn't listen to you, tell an adult you trust because they can probably help in ways you can't. Possibly a health teacher, a gym teacher, the nurse or a counselor.

Does anybody know how to get rid of the word "Cingular" on the phone?
like, when you flip it open, it has your background, and i took this cute pic, but the word singular is going through my friends head.

I don't think you can, but I know a way you can get it off the center of your face, or head.

Go into Settings, then go to Personalize. Go to Home Screen & go to Layout. You should see two choices. "Centered" and "Left Justified." Click "Left Justified." and it moves it to the left so that way your picture isn't ruined with the ugly word of Cingular.

I did the same thing because I have a picture of my baby cousin on my phone, and it was blocking his face so I moved it. Hope that helps. If not, you may be able to change it, but I don't know if you can, and I don't know how. You'd have to ask a Cingular employee about that.

If you like him, ask him out. The guy doesn't always have to be the one to ask. But keep in the mind that since you turned him down twice, there's a slight chance he could do the same. I doubt he will, but there's always that slight chance.
