My boyfriend is 20. I am an 18 year old female. We've been inseparable for longer than one and a half years. We do have a long distance relationship, but aside from the painful mileage between us, I couldn't be happier.
I am going to see him this weekend, but he does not have a current license. He was planning on driving without one, and he wasn't going to tell me that part. I just found out, and I am devastated. He thought he would "surprise" me. I am not "surprised". I am appalled that he would put me in this situation. Can you just imagine all of the guilt I would carry around should he get busted? And my God, what would be his consequences?
I (politely and appropriately, mind you) flat out refused to see him under those conditions, and it led to one of the most detrimental arguments we've ever had. I've tried telling him not to worry about seeing me, and that I will completely understand if we don't get to meet up. I've also repeatedly offered to take a city bus or gladly pay for a taxi. He will have none of that. He is just so stubborn. How can I talk him out of this mistake!?
And do you agree with me that this is not worth the risk, or do you believe I am making too much of this? I am pretty positive that I have made up my mind, but some support and/or opinions would be exceptionally dandy.

I'm curious why he doesn't have his license. That alone could be a reason not to get in a car with him! So if it is an issue of how he drives you definitely don't take a risk.
If he lives in a large town he could probably drive and not be caught. Small town, they probably know him and it would be harder to get away with it. I really doubt that you can talk him out of driving if that is what he wants to do. He probably does it all the time whether you are there or not. Its a guy thing. Driving is a guys big...I'm a man now thing!
I'm with you. I wouldn't want to cause him to commit a crime. Should he have an accident he could be paying for it for years to come.
People are sue happy and make a mistake while not having a license or not having insurance and the trouble can go a lot further than just a simple ticket. Try explaining that to him because it might get through to him better than anything else. :)

I was with my girl friend for over a year now i loved her and she also loved me at the start things were moving you well and after some time she went to boarding school and when she returned my own friend who helped me got this girl betrayed me by letting his own friend who has a car getting me girl and all of a sudden the girl changes her behaviour after getting this new car and now i dont have a car and the guy does so he uses he car to flirt arround my girl and how do i get my girlfriend back

You probably won't be able to get her back to be honest with you. She evidently likes the impression she gives off having a guy with a car. She is shallow and you can do much better than her.
Your friend isn't much of a friend either. Anyone who would steal your girl is no friend of yours.
Find a girl who likes you for yourself and not what you have. You will much happier. :)

Be careful you don't overdo it! You get used to the smell while you are wearing it and may just not be smelling it after a while. Too much can be offensive
so ask a friend if she can smell it before putting on more.
That being said I like Vanilla Fields. It seems to stay on a while and my hubby LOVES it. :)

Heres the deal, I'm obbsessed with britney spears. i have all of her posters, 2 pepsi lifesize cardboard cutout things, shirts a ton of picturs. every magazine shes ever been on, even when she was really young. i also have 33 of her cds( including remixes and stuff off of ebay). I even have something of hers that she was selling off of ebay to raise money for Katrina victims. well here is the problem. only about 5 people know. i never have friends over because i like briney so much cause everyone thinks she is fake and sluty and stuff. i want to tell people but i know that they would make fun of me and stuff. i'm not lesbiean or anything, i just like britney a lot. i'm in middle school so you know that people would make fun of me cause thats how middle school is. i don't care about what people think but i don't want everyone talking about me and my obbsessian about her. just think about what rumors could start. help me please!!! what should i do???!!!thanks guys. If they are your friends they won't care much. They may tease you a little but I doubt they will start rumors. If it really bothers you then you could always just keep a few things out in the open that you can put away quickly when they come over, or leave just a few things around to see how they react. Just add a little more every time they stop by.
Its normal for teen girls to have their rooms plastered with posters and stuff. I had wall to wall David Cassidy posters when I was a teen. I even took them all down when we had tornado watches in case I needed to take them to the cellar with me! I was obsessed!
ygsgirl had Eminem and Vin Diesel to name a couple. It is normal.
Though most girls hang guy pictures its true, there is nothing wrong with liking Britney Spears. :)

I just got into a really big fight with my mom today. We get into a lot of fights, but this one had to be the worse! I'm so mean to my mom. I say terrible things to her like she's a terrible mother, and she isn't! She does so much for me. She took me out for lunch today, she buys me things, and I hardly take the time to thank her. I also am really jealous of my brother. He's so good, and I always think that she treats him better than me, and he just left for college and its hard on all of us especially my mom. She has been buying him things, and when I wanted something today, she wouldn't get it for me, and I went off on her! I even told her that I hated her. I say so may cruel things to my mom, that I don't even realise how much I hurt her! I made her cry in the car today. I have NEVER seen my mom cry. She was crying because I made her. I hurt her real bad. I am such a terrible daughter for doing this. She also told me that she can never enjoy me. I don't blame her. She said she always enjoyed my brother but not me. It hurt me, but I deserved it. I can never tell her how I really feel, what really goes on in my head. I think about suicide all the time. I think how much better my mom would be if I was gone. I don't bring her any happiness, just saddness. We fight more than get along now a days, and if she doesn't enjoy me, whats the use for living? I never want to commit suicide, but I'm really scarying myself because I think I actually want to for real this time! I'm so emotional and depressed, and I take things WAY too seriously. I have no idea how this has happened to me. I'm the only one in my family thats like this. I think it is mostly because my friends all turned against me in 6th and 7th grade. I'm in High school now and it still haunts me! It's mainly because I still go to same school as them, and I want to leave so bad, but my mom wont let me. I don't want to go see a physiatrist, that will make me feel even worse. I just want all this pain and emotional to leave and the only one that can do it is myself, but I don't think I can. I feel as though my sanity level has dropped completely. I need some help and ideas how I can do this, and how I can tell my mom how I feel. Thanks so much! (link)

First of all know that what you are feeling isn't good but it is pretty normal. Teens have lots of changes going on in their bodies all at once. It causes your hormones to go wild, and makes you think you are going nuts. Girls go through more changes than boys so that is why it seems he is calmer than you are.
Suicide is never an answer. Trust me your mom would not be better off. Quite the opposite. It would be something she would never ever get over.
Remember to that while you said things you didn't mean, she did too.
Now, talking to your mom doesn't have to be that hard. She probably so much wants to get along with you. Don't shut her out. Sit down alone with her and a good opening line might be this...Mom did you ever say things you didn't mean to your mom and hurt her feelings? I'll bet she did.
Then just open up and let her know how you are feeling. Tell her you are jealous of your brother and feel he is treated better if that's what you feel. Just talk and you will both feel so much better.
As for school, you can make new friends. They don't even have to go to your school. Be friendly no matter what other say and do to you and someone will befriend you. Those who don't are not people you want around you anyway.
Should you need to see a doctor there is nothing wrong with that. Sometimes teens need help dealing with their emotions if they get to overwhelming. You probably don't even need a psychiatrist, your regular doctor would do fine for starters.
I really hope you talk to your mom and I hope you will feel better when you do. Please let me know how it turns out. I'd like to know you are doing OK. :)

alright, now whenever i was younger, my mom used to tell me about these earrings she used to have before they got the earring piercing gun thing, and what they would do is they'd put them in their ear and slowly, everyday, they'd go closer and closer and finally whenever you heard it click, that meant it had finally gone through your ear. now, i had a bad experience with earrings before i almost had to get surgery and everything, and i remember my left ear hurting like CRAZY, so im really freaked out about getting a gun shot through my ear again. and i've tried putting "self-piercing earrings" on google, and it comes up self-piercing KITS. so does anybody know if they still sell them anywhere or anything or if anyone finds it on google, can you tell me? helpppp.?! If you don't like pain you wouldn't want the self piercing earrings. My guess is that they don't sell them anymore.
I used them too. Its how I got mine pierced because my mom said if I wanted it bad enough to keep them on that long I could. They hurt badly. It takes a week for them to go through your ears.
So honestly, if you don't like pain you definitely don't want the experience of self piercing earrings.
The piercing gun is at least very quick. :)

My boyfriend and I are thinking about having sex in the near future, and we want to be as safe as possible. We would use a condom, but I'd like to be on the pill too.
My mom asked awhile ago if I thought that this relationship was more intimate...At the time I didn't think it would be and she said "Well I hope you could come to me, because I would want you to be safe, but your not allowed to have sex until you are 18."
I'm confused by what she meant. If I did decide to have sex does this mean she would be okay with it? Or does it mean she would like me to wait until I'm 18 but if I don't she wants to know? (link)

My mom said the same. I of course didn't listen and got pregnant when I was 17. :)
My guess is she wants you getting the message that she thinks you should wait. However, if you don't she would rather you be safe than risk getting pregnant. I don't know her so as I said I am just guessing. That would be my thoughts if you were my daughter.
I think asking her about it and discussing the possibility with her would be a good thing. :)

How do you clear the memory card? I tried to take a picture, and the screen went blue, and it said "the memory card is full." I uploaded pics from the camera on the computer, but it still said that. (link)

On the back of your camera hit review. When your pictures show up, hit delete. a menu will come up that says 3 things. Picture, exit, All. using the
button in the middle where you select auto etc. scroll it to all. Then push that little button in.
pictures are now deleted.

Does anyone know if theres a way I can have voicemails from my cell phone traced to find out who left them? I want to ask the police but im not sure if they can do that. Most phone companies do not allow harassment. What you should do first is call your phone service provider and ask their advice. I'm sure they can tell you the correct steps to take to get rid of the problem. If they find who is doing it they will probably get in trouble. :)

ever since i was very young my mother has been abusive to me. i am the oldest of two children and the only girl, and my mother has always been jealous of my goals in life. she used to hit me severely when i was younger but the rest of my family ignored it and i have police reports but child services couldn't do anything because all i had to show were bruises and no witnesses. as i got older my mother started drinking a lot, she is probably drunk at least 4 nights in a week and she hasn't had a job for about 12 years. she just sits around all day and smokes and drinks and has her scummy friends over.
within two years though, i've been finding drugs and substances throughout the house that were clearly hers, marijuana and cocaine only. but she has the worst relationship with me because i don't go thorugh one day without being called a slut, cunt, little bitch, twat, you name it. i don't even fight back anymore because it's pointless.
this past december my mother in a rage pulled a knife out on me and put it to my throat. my entire family witnessed it and my dad ripped her off of me before she could have done anything. i called the police and because my father denied it happening they escorted me out and i began to live with my aunt up until now.
i just came back because my mother asked me to and appologised, and because she is my mom i agreed. but my younger brother is moving out with my grandparents because he cant take it herer anymore, and her name calling towards me is starting again. bowls and bags of marijuana lay around my house and it's disgusting. she smokes around all of us and my brother and i both have asthma but she dosn't care.
i've never lied about the situation or cried wolf to get pitty, the only firends who know about it are ones who have witnessed our fights.
my father won't divirce her because he says she'll take all of his money and we'll be broke. and he is scared of being alone since my brother and i are on the verge of graduating highschool.
is there anywhere i can go where they will put a stop to her durg abuse/ alcohol abuse/ child neglect, or is there any way i can have a restraint against her because i don't think it's fair my brother and i have to be thrown around to family members to live with because of her choices. it would be nice to live ina normal home for once in my life.

Why not call the police and tell them you have found drugs in your house? She will go to jail and hopefully gets the help she needs. That may be further than you want to take it though.
I think if I were you I would go back to my Aunts house or grandparents house. Anything has to be better than what you are living through.
You should tell your dad that if she gets bad enough that she is pulling knives on her kids he needs to check into having her committed somewhere that can help her. He can at least have her observed for 24 hours as being a danger to herself and/or others. It would be a big help should you complain about her again.
He also needs to take the safety of his children into consideration when deciding to stay or leave her. Sounds like she has him mentally whipped as well.

Okay so me and my boyfriend started having sex a couple weeks ago .. ik im probably going to get some smart ass remakrs saying im too young, or imma slut. so just save it please. But i Really love him so its worth it. But anyways the first time we did the condom broke, and then a couple times after he didnt use a condom .. Im worried i might be pregnant. tomorrow hes taking me to the clinic so i can get a pregnancy test cuz he doesnt trust the store bought ones.. Hes turning 17 on Sept. 11th and idunno what i would do if i was. I really love him and he loves me.. but im only 14. abortion is NOT an option.. idunno im really stressed out right now .. Im on 3 cheerleading teams and i would have to quit alla them.. GRR

If you have had sex without a condom chances are very good that you are indeed pregnant. You do need a test no matter how you get it done.
No offense intended but you should have thought about what you would have to give up before you had unprotected sex.
I do hope you got lucky and are not pregnant. If that is the case, please be careful in the future. :)

I mean I can be persuasive at time but I know it's hard to change the close minded people. And I would feel really guilty for going out with him knowing that he's homophobic and such.
If I do go out with him, I'll probably be careful not to bring up the argument about gays. lez. and bi's...

Oh sure. I don't think there is anything wrong with being friends. Once you are really good friends...and if he should want to date you, he may become more open to understanding your other friends. There is always hope! You can try it and see what happens.

uhmm, what the heck? okay so my crush recently asked me if i liked carrotcake or not, and i was like "uhh, what kinda question is that, you're so random!" and he was like "no i think you can really learn alot about a person by asking that question!" SO WHAT THE HECK? is it like a trick question? is there a special answer guys expect when they ask this to a girl? or is my guy just a weirdo? (haha) so im just thinking.. instead of answering the question, i'd like to make a joke out of it, or just randomly move away from the subject instead of having to answer that question were i might get the "wrong" answer.. you know? maybe its something he's made up in his mind, like "if the girl says YES, she's the one for me, if no.,. shes not" or vice versa..

I have just recently started college and I have a horrible snoring problem. Its to the point where my roommate won't even stay in the room at night..she just goes over to her boyfriends dorm to sleep. I've tried breathe-rite strips but I also wonder if I should go see a doctor about this. Anybody else have this problem? What is the best thing to do about it? (link)

I did have. Go to a doctor and ask about having a sleep study done. You may have sleep apnea.
You will go to the hospital or clinic and spend the night with monitors on you. If it turns out you have it then you will get a machine that has a mask you wear while sleeping.

Well, this is REALLY REALLY long so if you want to back out now, do so because I wouldn't blame you.
Anywhos, my bestest friend and basically my only friend is Brandon and he's gay as in homosexual, not weird gay. And I hang out with him at school as much as I can and we like link arms, hug, etc. And no I don't like him like him.
And Tom, who liked me (he hugged me, sat next to me everywhere, kept on talking to me, and etc, etc.) Well, he must've asked someone if I was going out with Brandon (he was new to the school so he had not heard about Brandon being gay) and that someone told Tom that Brandon was gay.
The problem is that Tom is a homophobe...people that I loathe. And he was kind of..okay, he was pulling away .. barely sitting, talking walking with me and such. So in the hallway I was like "Tom, are you homophobic or something?" and he said yes..and I kind of got pissy at him so I basically said down the hall "Tom's a homophobe" kinda loudly.
But anyways. The problem is I still like him..other than the homophobe problems, he's perfect. Smart, funny, cute, and plays lacross which is the best sport yo. But now that Tom knows that Brandons gay and that most of my friends are homosexual, he is barely friend
I know that I shouldn't be hung up on a boy that is shallow and wont be my friend because mt bff is gay, etc, etc. But what should I do..?
I mean I'm going into high school and I know that I don't have any classes with Brandon (but we have lockers right next to each other) I don't know if I have any classes with Tom though. Should I try and get in touch with Tom or not?
And if I do be back to being friends with Tom, that's another problem. Melanie (she loathes me, got me into a lot of trouble. I loathe her like woah.) told me a long time ago that Christina (who I loathe and loathes me back) likes Tom. Now the whole "'Christina likes Tom' said Melanie" thing was before all the loathing went on.
But whenever I'm with my guy friends, everyone says I flirt. But I really don't. I don't risk my friendship with my good guy friends for a stupid relationship. I'm just being me and I guess that counts as flirt =X. Anywhos, but if I do become friends with Tom, I have like a 99% chance of "flirting" with him. And then that will start another drama/rumor around the school by the oh so dearly loved Melanie and Christina..bleh. I'm too confused. (link)

You really can't help your feelings a whole lot. However, unless you can change how he feels towards the rest of your friends I don't think it would work out in the long run. Changing his attitude would be wonderful but most likely isn't going to happen. Sad as that is.
The reason I don't think it will work is because a good deal of your time will be spent arguing. You hate his homophobic attitude and, being a smart cookie you won't be able to tolerate it. You would be miserable.
It may also hurt the feelings of your gay friends who might see it as you not being loyal to them. After all Tom has made no secret about how he feels for them.
Be friendly to Tom when you see him because he is probably a very nice, though ignorant guy. But I think a relationship with him would be very frustrating and aggravating in the long run. There are other guys out there.

Chances are you won't get many questions in your inbox for a while. Most of those you do will be from someone wanting more information on an answer you gave in the pool of questions.
Don't wait around to be asked personally. Just go answer questions. If you don't know an answer there are plenty of other questions so don't just answer anything. Last thing you want to do is look stupid!
Also use good grammar and spelling. People won't ask you a question if you write like you aren't very smart. :)
