"do you like carrotcake?"

Question Posted Thursday August 24 2006, 2:27 pm

uhmm, what the heck? okay so my crush recently asked me if i liked carrotcake or not, and i was like "uhh, what kinda question is that, you're so random!" and he was like "no i think you can really learn alot about a person by asking that question!" SO WHAT THE HECK? is it like a trick question? is there a special answer guys expect when they ask this to a girl? or is my guy just a weirdo? (haha) so im just thinking.. instead of answering the question, i'd like to make a joke out of it, or just randomly move away from the subject instead of having to answer that question were i might get the "wrong" answer.. you know? maybe its something he's made up in his mind, like "if the girl says YES, she's the one for me, if no.,. shes not" or vice versa..
so i dont wanna ruin mu chances here (haha i know its dorky) but seriously.. can you make a joke out of this? or should i just be like "hahha, you're so random!" and not even answer.. or can i make a joke of something else he wrote in that email and not bother replying to that part at all? maybe i can comment on the fact that he's trying to get to know me.. through carrotcake. haha, he's so weird!! but seriously, what do you guys think??

Hahaha, I'm sure he's not being real serious or anything like "she's the one" types of question, he's just probably being random and wondering if you like it or not because he could either really hate it, or really like it. But I'm sure it's not going to effect wether he likes you or not or anything. I've had times where I've been like,"I love mushrooms!" and the guy that likes me is like,"Ugh, I hate them they're disgusting how can you like them?" but they still like me none the less. If carrot cake makes a guy decided wether they like you or not, that's a little strange, haha. So just be like "Hahahaha yeah I like it." or "Haha no, I don't."

Hmm... I don't think your answer will affect his liking of you :] it is probably just a joke kind of thing, just like i had someone do that to me but he asked "Do you like tootsie rolls" discusting i know, but he's another story....lolz but yea... i think it is just a joke, or you could make a joke out of it..... IDK maybe you could reply and ask him "Do you like chicken?" Lolz :] Wellll good luck with that ;)

haha, its probably something dirty. i've never heard of that line before. how old is he? it could be just random, like you said && he just needs to know if you carrot cake or not because he loves it with a passion.

Haha. My guess is maybe he was planning to invite you somewhere to eat carrot cake? Maybe he bought a carrot cake for you to share or something cause he likes you? Thats the only way I know.

i heard from a chainmail that certain desserts you like can tell people about yourselves. it worked for me but its just chainmail..idk, maybe he knows about it. carrot cake was one of the options. some guys ask beetween to foods to know whether 2 two have the same, or good taste. maybe hes just trying to make conversation. what i think you should say though, "ive never tried it."

it all depends on his age. If you are younger than hs chances are him and his friends made some perverted joke out of it. But other than that maybe he just wanted to start a conversation with you? Something weird like that starts a conversation better than something like how is life.

Haha I think you're over analyzing the question. If you like it just tell him you do, or not if you don't. And if he's like umm ok, you could be like, haha I was just kidding! and say the opposite of what you said before lol. But really I think he was just trying to see if you liked it or not..

I think i'd be asking how he feels about carrot cake! Maybe hes wanting to share some with you. That would be nice. I love carrot cake myself. :)

Sounds like just a silly question. Making conversation. I wouldn't over worry the answer.
