okay so my really good guy friend that goes to a diff school then me says all this sweet talk to me and tells me how much he likes me and stuff and i really like him too but then all my other friends tell me that he flirts with other girls at his school. i duhn know if hes just leading me on to get sumthin out of me or if he does truly have those feelings. and i just got out of a 7 month realtionship that was hard so right now its hard for me to find love again and i dont know i need help.
You just got out of a relationship, you don't have to find love right away. You probably need some time, I don't know many people who wouldn't.
He's just a 'really good guy friend' and not exactly your boyfriend, so its a possibility he very well could be telling other girls the same thing.
You should talk to him, don't put it off. The longer you wait, the more you'll think about it and the worse situation you'll make out of it for yourself.
If he says he isn't, then respect what he says and see if things improve.
If not, then it's probably not going to get any better and you should find someone better for your standards.
Don't think about the negative things, or the things that you hear from other people. They might not ALWAYS be true.
Good luck!

It was my birthday a couple of days ago. I was at work when I checked my voice mail messgages. I male friend of mine left a really sweet message. He was singing happy birthday in a really romantic voice. Then he said he would be sending me a small gift in the mail ( he lives out of town). None of my other male friends have done that for me? Do you think it sounds like he may like me as more than a friend?
It seems like he was trying to impress you and make you feel special. I don't think he would have gone to such an extent if he didn't have some kind of feelings for you.
He could be trying to give you a hint by showing his romantic side.
You should try and 'test' it. Flirt with him and see if he flirts back.
If all else fails, talk to him. If you WANT there to be something more, tell him and see what his response is.
Good luck!

This is weird for me, I am usually the one answering the questions and dispensing the advice here.
Anyhow, my problem is thus. I have an IUD in place, and such, I am infertile. I already have a 21 month old son, who is a handful.
However, a few months ago, I started getting a yearning to have a child, especially when I see pregnant women. I am on a low income, so I know having another child wouldn't be a good decision at the moment.
In the last month or so, I have started experiencing a few symptoms, such as bloating, morning sickness, acute travel sickness and feeling kicks in my womb. I know I am not pregnant. There is no way I COULD be pregnant. However, these symptoms don't seem to be disappearing. I've visited my GP and my psych, and they are both completly baffled. I've had everything, including IBS problems and infections ruled out. I suffer from bi polar disorder, and I was wondering if this could affecting my thought processes regarding pregnancy.
I've had quite a few people suggest that it could be something called 'phantom pregnancy'. I've heard of this, but I'm not extensively knowledgeable on the subject. Could it possible I'm suffering from this, and if so; how do I get it to go away?
Or is there anything else it could be?
Clearly from what you said it could be a 'phantom pregnancy'.
A phantom, or false pregnancy, is a condition in which a non-pregnant woman exhibits all the classic symptoms of pregnancy and is firmly convinced that she is pregnant even when clear medical evidence shows that she is not. The medical term for this condition is pseudocyesis.
The treatment of a woman who is suffering from a true pseudocyesis requires very careful and sympathetic consideration, often with the help of a supportive partner or family network.
Despite the existence of positive medical proof that she is not pregnant, the woman suffering from a phantom pregnancy may remain convinced of her pregnancy for some time, which is one of the reasons why follow-up counselling may have to be arranged for her.
The phenomenon of phantom pregnancy is a perplexing one for the medical profession. Nobody has yet come up with an explanation as to why a very small percentage of women actually exhibit all the classic symptoms of pregnancy such as weight gain, breast enlargement and abdominal distension when they are not pregnant at all. The fact that a woman actually looks pregnant makes the job of her GP even more difficult when he has to try to explain to her that all her urine samples are testing negative for pregnancy.
Phantom pregnancy or pseudocyesis cannot just be dealt with from a medical or gynaecological perspective without taking due consideration of the severe underlying emotional distress and turmoil which has led to the diagnosis of such a condition in the first place.

The guy I'm dating and me get really in the mood. We haven't done anything under the clothes though. I'm a virgin and I want to keep it that way, but when we get hot & heavy just making out, it's very difficult to have self control. I just don't know what to do, because it's still so early in our relationship to move to the next step. I like the way things are, but I'm afraid he's going to get mad that I lead him on & then back away when things get serious. (17/f)
As said before you shouldn't lead him on. If he respects you and your decisions it shouldn't be a problem. Explain them to him first, before you two really get involved so no one gets hurt emotionally as well.
Many people feel pressured to do the bidding and wishes of others. This is a nice character trait to have - it means you feel responsible to others and want to please.
However the impact on yourself can be that you do things that you would not naturally or normally do. Therefore you should not be afraid to say 'No' when you want to. He should understand this..
If you feel that you are doing something that you resent, then next time the situation comes up, just say No. You can give a reason if you wish, but don't be afraid just to say that something is not for you.

I have been getting really sad/depressed lately, and for no reason or for small reasons. I overreact to everything or just have breakdowns. I have been getting more and more of them recently, and I don't know what I should do. Sometimes I'll be really happy and then sometimes I feel like I have no friends and want to die. Is there something wrong with me? Do I have manic depression?
It could be a number of things honestly. But since you're a teenager, it's probably your hormones and all your emotions as said before.
It could be stress, or anxiety. Or both of them together. You are a teenager & almost everyone goes through some kind of depression at some point in their life.
Stress is a great thing for dragging you down and making you feel almost ill at times just due to the nature of the pressure that it places and applies on you.
Depression is a surefire barrier to happiness. Therefore you need to try to overcome depression if you want to be happy. Overcoming depression and how to do it varies from person to person, but there are certain things that can help.
The first is to exercise regularly and to take care of your health. This can boost feel good factor and self worth.
The next is to try to keep busy - that way you just won't have the time to feel bad.
The next thing is to keep things simple - try to eliminate the thousand and one worries from your life. Try to focus on those things that really matter to you - make a list of the top five things in your life and promise to yourself that you won't worry about anything else
Next, ensure that you only worry about things in your domain of control. Too many people worry about things they can't, like the weather. Be fair to yourself and just think about the things you can influence - friends, family, your work and relationships.
That way you start to re-gain control of your life, add focus and healthiness, and depression should be given the boot!

Hey well my question is how can i get bigger boobs?.....Rite now i am a 34 C but i want to go bigger....So wat do i do...i dont want to take pills or go thru sugery.....so wat can i do please respond.............................
Well if you just want to make them LOOK bigger, wear a bra slightly too big for you... if your bra is getting tight because you have had it for a long time, then don't keep wearing it! This just makes your breasts appear smaller and shows everyone you need a new bra!
Or for better cleavage twist the bra so it tightens in the middle. It then pulls the cups together and adds cleavage, or just find a bra that clasps in the front and you can decide how tight/loose you want it.
Good luck!

Hey, I was just wondering if toner and astringent are the same thing and if they aren't, what are the differences?
Toners are also called astringents, and clarifying lotions. These are claimed to tighten skin pores, reduce the size of enlarged pores, and 'balance' the production of oil in the skin. Research shows that these claims are untrue! Most of these products are made of alcohol or natural 'astringents' that can actually be quite harsh on the skin. The alcohol can make the skin feel 'refreshed' or tight and clean (just like men's after shave lotions, which are also alcohol based), but they do this by removing the oils from the skin, not by changing the size of the skin's pores. People with dry skin actually need the skin's natural oils and can damage their skin by using toners or astringents.

ok im not sure what colors of makeup to use with my face. I have:
blue/grey eyes
lightly tanned skin
dark brown hair
and somewhat chubby cheeks
what colors are good for like my eyes? I want to look natural, but with a little bit of color(nothing too dramatic)
thanks...websites would be nice too( if awavilable...wonth elp rating) i rate high
Ive already answered a quiestion similar to this so ill give you the same answer.
Foundation- If you're using powder dont use too much or it'll cake your face and show off any lines you might have. Also, use gentle strokes. If you apply the powder too hard you might rub away bits of the foundation and end up looking blotchy
Eyes-
Mascara- For your upper lashes, move the mascara applicator back and forth at the base of the lashes to put down some color, and then roll the brush horizontally through your lashes. Use full strokes.
Eyeliner- Use two pencils, a lighter and darker shade of the same color. Apply the lighter from the inner corner to the pupil, or just before, and then use the darker pencil to the outter edge (extending it as little or as much as you want). Then smudge the colors using either a good
eyeshadow brush or your finger (go lightly). Begin by smudging only slightly then gradually increase it if neccessary. If done properly this creates a lovely smoky effect using just a black pencil too.
-For cool-toned skin, consider going for pink, light blues, mauves and silver.
-For a warmer or darker complexion you should try colors such as bronze, gold, apricot and caramel.
Any questions, feel free to ask!

I have a few questions regarding acne, blackheads, etc..
* Is there ANYTHING at all that get`s rid of facial acne ? ( i`m skeptical about proactiv.. )
* How do you get rid of blackheads ?
and..
* How do you get rid of acne on your back && shoulder`s ?
Thank you sooo much
If you have acne or spots of any kind, then the first thing to remember is that you should not pop them. While some people get some sort of strange satisfaction from popping their spots, overall it can do more harm than good.
The reason for this is that it can actually cause more spots, as the grease that you rub into your skin will cause more spots in that area, and you can even cause scarring to occur which can remain for a long time.
Before you apply any medication, try rubbing your face with ice for a few minutes before hand. This works because it cools the skin down and makes it more ready for the application of the treatment.
Also green tea works great for clear skin! It's also great for loosing weight, relaxing, and is a great antioxidant. It also has much less caffiene than normal tea so you don't have to worry about drinking too much and becoming jittery.
HOW TO REMOVE BLACKHEADS:
First remove the inner ink tube of a pen. Then press the transparent end over the top of the spot or blackhead and twist from left to right. Hey Presto the blackhead pops out. Now place a bag of frozen peas (or anything else cold) over the hole that has been left to make it close up.
This blackhead removal technique works wonders and should leave you blackhead free!
Note that you can also buy blackhead pens, so-called, from many beauty stores: these are specially made removal devices that work using this same method. They are worth buying to ensure your blackhead removal is safe and hygienic.
If none of those work to for you or you don't want to try them, put your face in a warm bowl of watter. This opens up your pores. After that wash your face with a cleansing blackhead scrub. Do this twice a day and it should decrease your blackheads, if not get rid of all of them!
Good luck!

Does anyone know ways to start a conversation with someone? A way that doesn't make you seem like a rambling idiot. Lately there have been many of those "awkward silences" in conversations I have with people.
-initiate conversations at ease
-be a great listener
-enjoy exploring other peoples lives
-deal with uneasy situations easily
-have a stock library of stories and anecdotes to share and call on at will
The best way to get good at small talk is preparation - prepare subjects in advance to talk about.
Sometimes the hardest part of a conversation is starting it. Whether that's on a date, or on a speed date, or just when you want to talk to someone you like the look of on the street. Once you get talking, you'll soon get an idea as to whether there is a natural flow and chemistry.
So, how to start off the conversation?
Well, how about:
-comment on a prominent news story
-discuss local community issues (maybe the ridiculous tailbacks caused by the new road layout)
-the weather: particularly hot/cold/wet at the moment?
When you share your views and opinions on the world you will find that naturally other people will share theirs with you too, making it more comfortable to talk with them.
Good luck!

i have to write an eassy on a socail issue. i was thinking about teen sex and pregancy about pros and cons about it. the more i think about it the more it makes me think that i couldnt write an eassy about. my question is
1) is it possible to write an eassy about that?
2) what is a good social issue that isnt as known? like abortion i know a lot of perople that are going to do it.
if it helps i want it to do with teen age problems
15/f
I'd say its definitly possible to write an essay about that topic, and it's a very good one. As you were thinking, there are many pros and cons. Some being more obvious then others.
A few social issues are STDs, love and communication, sexual difficulties, contraception, sexual violence. There's many more but those are just a few that are related to many teens. But there's also the war, gas price issues..those are probably the higher thinking ones i guess.
If you have any other quiestions feel free to ask!

my friend has been complaining a lot lately about her sex life. she keeps asking me for advice but i said i would just ask you guys. she wants to make her sex life more pleasurable. she complains that her boyfriend sucks at it and she thinks he is doing it wrong or sumthing. so exactly what is the right way to have sex and do u have any tips on how to make it more pleasurable? thank you.
If you want the best sex in the world don't talk to him when you are having sex it pisses him off and just causes tension. However, you can say sexy things to each other if that's what you like. It's very important not to talk during sex or foreplay. Why is that? Because listening to someone and thinking of a response takes your concentration away from what you are physically doing and particularly in men it draws blood away from downstairs and take it upstairs to your brain instead. Experiment different things talk to him before having sex in the bedroom about what things are his fantasies for instance what would make it better for him then make sure you tell him. For example some guys like seeing their women with another girl or men like to see there lady with another man make sure the trust is there first and then if it is something you imagined doing and your partner agrees shoot for it. It could be fun for both of you.
Tantra is a form of advanced love making skill, that if used and developed can help your relationship blossom. You should place scented candles around the room, whatever you like best. Sit facing each other cross legged. Gaze into the eyes of your partner, and mirror their breathing. Do not speak -(as stated before) remain silent, but keep eye contact at all times. Make love normally, but with syncronised breath and eye contact. This will ensure that the act is particularly intimate, and in time you can move onto more sophisticated techniques such as delaying orgasm and making love for as long as you like.
Good luck!

how to know if the girl likes me?
-She blushes when you talk to her
-She is really quiet around you but louder with her friends
-She stares at you when she thinks you're not looking
-If she copies your movements when you're talking, then chances are she likes you - for instance if she folds her arms when you do and so on.
If she turns away from you, she's not so interested
-If her pupils get larger when she talks to you, it also means she likes you. She may also tend to focus on your face.
-If she tries to argue with you, it may be trying to evoke some passion in you!
-If she wears more make-up around you than normal, that's also a sure sign that she's interested.
-f you hear lots of rumours that she likes you, then chances are that she does. And she probably started the rumours herself but is too shy to go do anything about it. So make your move!

me and my best friend have been bestfriends for a couple years now but sometimes i feel like were growing apart and next year im goin 2 high school but my high schoold wierd its b-r bridgewater-raynham 2 high schools combined and sometimes i think maybe i should just get a new best friend but idk we used 2 have fun a couple years ago wat should i do!!!!
Show them what a good friend you are..
The best way to be a great friend is to be loyal and fun and always there for a friend. There is nothing worse than being a fairweather friend, who is there while the going is good but then disappears when things go wrong. Share your life with your friends - share everything you love and hate, your views and opinions, and always try to remain positive. All of these are such attractive qualities that they will make you a truly great friend.
People change. Some people stay friends their whole lives, some just don't.
Maybe you should try and make new friends.
The key thing that you should consider is joining groups or social clubs that have the same interests as you. It is much, much easier to make conversation and small talk to those with whom you have a known common base of interest than total strangers. Other good ways to meet people are to take up a sport, or if you play one already, to join a club around the sport. That way the emphasis is more about the sport and less about the small talk, which will then come naturally as a by-product of the game.
Just talk to your friend and tell him/her how you feel. Invite them over to your house to try and bring them back into your life. Do things you use to do together. Be more social and open with each other!
Good luck

i broke up with my bf and he says he loves me real bad and wants to work things out. i dont wanna because dont really have anymore feelings for him but i didnt tell him that i told him that im gonna be to busy this summer to have a bf which is true. but i cant get him to stop wanting to be with me how can i get him to move on?
Try to be tactful and to the point. Take some quiet time, be sympathetic, and explain gently your reasoning. Make sure that you aren't talked out of it though. Stay firm to your point of view, but in a delicate way.
The best way to get over an ex is to go cold turkey - that is actively cut off contact with them. Since he's the one trying to get over YOU, it's up to you to do this.
Cut them out your life completely for a couple of months if not forever. Get some new friends or ban your friends from mentioning that person. Get his friends to do the same. Eventually he should get the point.
Good luck!

I'm Melissa, and I'm 16 years old
So I'm crazy jealous (to a really large extent) and I don't know how to get over it. If anyone has been through it and somehow SOMEHOW overcome those horrible feelings, let me know what you did...Because I'm working on it and I'm afraid to push my boyfriend away at the same time. He's really understanding, but I'm assuming that there's only so much that a person can take.
Missy
Thanks
Sometimes there seem to be good reasons for jealousy, many times there aren't. When someone is experiencing jealousy for no real reason then their imagination needs training.
It's the imagination that causes these feelings of jealousy, when people visualise, for example, their partner with someone else. This can cause a whole host of problems associated with these jealous feelings, from anxiety and panic, to anger when their partner simply looks at another person.
Jealousy makes you think that other people are in the wrong, when most of the time the problem is in your head. Perhaps you need to face up to the facts: the jealousy is being caused by your own insecurities. You're lacking confidence in yourself, your abilities and the people around you. That could be why you're jealous.
The best way to beat jealousy is to build confidence. If you're happy and secure in life, the jealousy can’t control you. Don't bottle it up. If you're jealous of one person in particular, talk to them. Tell them how you feel. Chances are, they'll reassure you and you can work through the jealousy problem together. Go for the things you want, too. Jealousy is a negative emotion but ambition, determination and success will boost your life and get jealousy under control.
Good luck!

k so i have problems with guys. none like me! But people tell me i'm good looking, and fun, but then why don't any guys like me?! people say all that stuff like 'i know someone taht likes you' but no one ever seems to...help! wut can i do to be more attractive to guys?
If the object of your desires is not interested apparently, it could be they are shy.
Try doing the opposite of their body language - if they close their arms unfold yours.
Also linger over them with your eyes, but of course without making them feel uncomfortable or being too obvious.
Maybe you need to build up your confidence. Learn to be comfortable being yourself. The temptation is always there to want to be someone else, someone popular, someone with loads of friends who everyone likes. But wanting to be someone else is only ever a pipedream - you are you, and great for it.
Or maybe you need to just feel better with yourself. The key is not to try and compare yourself to others - that will only make you unhappy. Rather than keep up the comparisons, just be content that you are who you are and leave it at that.
Let the guys come to you. The harder you look the harder it could be to find someone. Just give it time, you can't exactly MAKE someone like you.
Good luck!

I get pimples from time to time and I was wondering if there was a way I could stop that and make my face clear. I may go a week or two without pimples then will have five or six on my face. Please let me know what I can do to stop this.

my face is oily but whenever i have foundation or concealer on my forehead, it seems like its peeling, like i can see the little skin peeling off.. but its not alot.. what is this and how do i get rid of it? i use mosturizer so i dont know.. and also how can i get rid of the oil on my forehead?
It sounds like you have dry skin..
If you DO have dry skin, baby oil is a great cleanser. Gently massage it over your face before tissuing off thoroughly. Removes all make up, including waterproof mascara. Johnsons baby oil is wonderful. After you have had a bath slightly pat your skin dry and using a face cloth rub some baby oil on. It really does work, only do this if your skin itsn't too oily to begin with.
Good luck!
