You'd be better off concentrating on why teen pregnancy is a common thing, ways to educate teenagers, and that kind of thing.
Instead of that though, how about writing on bullying? You could look at it from both sides. For example, what causes people to bully others, different types of bullying, and the effects of bullying on people. You could also look at how it's escalated into school violence in recent times.
I think that's a good one to do, as not many people will do it, but it's an issue facing a lot of young people today that doesn't get enough attention.
LadyGoodman answered Friday May 5 2006, 9:34 pm: I would say a pretty big teenage problem is abusive relationships, and people might not think to write on that, even if it is known.
The problem is, if it's a social issue, it's known, or else it couldn't really be a social issue. Maybe you should look up the meaning of social issue.

A few social issues are STDs, love and communication, sexual difficulties, contraception, sexual violence. There's many more but those are just a few that are related to many teens. But there's also the war, gas price issues..those are probably the higher thinking ones i guess.
