eyes
i was just wondering what people think of glasses. do you find them nerdy or attractive? i have to wear glasses fullo time and i am wondering if contacts are the way to go or should i wear glasses but i dont want to seem like a four eyes freak. any inputs are appreciated.

Sporting well designed eyewear is often a positive addition to one's facial features. On the other hand, "coke bottle" glasses are a no-no. It all depends on your prescription. Sometimes contact lenses simply aren't viable. Pay a visit to your optometrist to resolve the prescription issue and then go to your local eyewear specialist for the latest designs and such.

I like glasses because i have them and i just always thought they were cute. Contacts are good, they can make your eyes a different color which is awesome, so if you want to commit to them, go ahead and get them.

i think it all depends on the person. although most people look better with contacts some people do look better in glasses.. and dont worry people wont make fun of you for it

contacts are great, especially in the summer when you swim or if you play sports. it takes a while to get used to putting them in, but the trick for me if to look away when you put them in, so you dont blink.
glasses arent geeky. i like it when people get the really cool glasses. it makes them look smart. bottlecap glasses arent exactly the sexiest thing though. haha

careless-fun is right. Coke-bottle glasses look unattractive, but you can find some with really cool frames. The best ones are the cats-eye glasses (the kind that point up at the upper corners) which are really cute, look good on everyone and give you that "look." Or, you could always stick to contacts, but those are really easy to lose and cost a lot of money. I think the cats-eye glasses are the best way to go.

It depends on the glasses and the person. I wear glasses for school and stuff and some people say I should get contacts but 1: my mom won't let me and 2: I have a problem with eyedrops and touching my eyes so I'd have problems putting them in. Other people say they like me better with glasses so it just depends. I wear thin glasses that make my eyes look bigger since they're a tiny bit bigger then my eyes. I honestly think glasses can make a person really stand out and look nice.

It depends on the glasses. If you have to wear coke bottle glasses then that is extremely unattractive. But if they aren't all big then its not that big of a deal.

Glasses have come a long way over the years. With the wide variety of frames available now, including designer frames, they can even be a fashion statement. Some frames are even designed to be less noticeable. I would speak to your optometrist to determine whether contacts or glasses are best for you. I alternate between the two myself.
Contacts are great, but can sometimes be a hassle. For instance, if your eyes are irritated, like with allergies, you'll find them uncomfortable to wear. You also have to deal with cleaning and disinfecting them regularly to avoid getting an eye infection. If you do decide to go with contacts, I would recommend getting a pair of glasses as a backup. That way you can still see if you're unable to wear your contacts for some reason.

These reasons really help if you think logically about them.
Try contacts if:
*you're athletic
*you change your look a lot
or
*if you lose things
(contacts are supoosed to be replaced naturally anyways)
And P.S.
if you do try contacts, and you decide on colored, get them only from your doctor.

Glasses? Who cares? Much of our society today is pretty damn shallow, but by 2006 I think most people have learned to accept that fact that some individuals needs glasses to better their vision. If you ask me, that's nothing to poke fun at. I don't particularly find them a turn on, but I would never discriminate against one who wears them.

glasses are cool. nobodys going to call u a four-eyed freak :) and if you want, you can wear your glasses for like school and stuff and then when you go out or when you go to parties and stuff like that, put on contacts. hope i helpted :), cristy

I wish I could get glasses!! I always wanted them but I don't need them so it sucks. :( I think that they make you look smarter and not nerdy. Well, it made me look smarter. Anyways, if you have to wear them, just wear them. It's normal and people won't call you a 4 eyed freak. Contacts would be great too. You won't always have to be worrying about your glasses and such but with contacts you'll look normal and you will be able to see. You should try out both of them and see what you like more.

heyy i definetly think that glasses make people look very intelligent and attractive but i have contacts and i love them. they are a tiny weeny bit more of a hassle but soo worth it. its totally up to you though, which ever you feel more comfortable with, good luck hun

Contacts are the best way to go. Seriously. Not only will you gain confidence from it -- you'll be able to see all the time & you won't have to have glasses on! I think glasses on some people can be attractive, and others aren't. I wear contacts & I have to tell you, it's the best decision I've ever made! :)

Glasses are awesome. I sometimes have to wear them and all my frinds compliment me. I'm popular so i get nervous when i wear my glasses that i will become a nerd but its not true. Its better to be a nerd than not being able to see. I'm not sayng ur a nerd im sure ur very pretty without glasses or with and dont let anybody tell you different. You can wear contacts if you want but dnt get into the habbit of wearing them 24/7. Wear your glasses sometimes.
If people make fun of you than ignore it because its not true!

Glasses rock.
Although I don't personally wear them... I have a sister who does. She's worn glasses since she was two years old. She is now nine, and has contacts. She regurally switches between glasses and contacts; she doesn't really have a favorite.
Some people look really good in glasses. There's a guy in my homeschool group who bought glasses, popped the lenses out, and just wore the frames. But the glasses looked really good on him.
I did the same thing; popped the lenses out of some glasses, and wore them to my church's Fall Festival.
It's all up to you. If you think you look "nerdy" in glasses, try contacts. But contacts have a tendency to get expensive, after a while, and they can irriate your eyes. You can't wear them if you have an eye infection, and they make your eyes hurt if you're tired. So, if you choose to go with contacts, keep your glasses on hand.

it definately depends on the person. next time you go to the eye doctor, you should take a friend with you & see if you guys wanna pick out a certain pair you look good in. another opinion will help. if you don't like them, because they do sometimes get annoying, then go for the contacts. i have contacts cus i play sports & i started getting migrains from wearing my glasses so much, because like you i need them all the time. so i wear contacts during the week & glasses on the weekend. basically if you want contacts, make sure you have a good pair of glasses too so you can go back & forth with it.

Personally I wear glasses so I would tell you that glasses would probably be the way to go. I chose glasses because I've worn glasses soo long that seein myself in contacts I looked stupid.. haha. But... you need to make the decision.It may take your eyes a long time to adjust to contacts, and your eyes can get very irritated if you wear them too long without properly cleanin them, even wearing make-up. and when your tired. so there are some downs to having contacts.

The most important thing is whether you like the way you look with glasses or not. I like the way I look without glasses better, but I also know some people who I think looks better with glasses. Of course, this is probably because I'm used to seeing those people with glasses. If you've been wearing glasses for a long time, it's likely for people around you to think that you look strange without them because they are so used to seeing you with glasses.
Also, you should consider other things such as whether contacts would be more trouble for you. They can be irritating if you wear them for too long, especially when you're tired.

well i have glasses so i think im gonna go ahead and say they are HOT! haha just kidding, it all depends on how they look on you, what kind you have, stuff like that. like for instance i have the "emo" type glasses i guess you would say, but im not emo and i dont like to label other people, but honestly, you know the glasses im talking about, right? yeah, well anyways i didnt get them because im emo or want to be emo or anything, my sister just said she thought they would look ok on me, and my glasses before them were sooo nerdy! so...to sum it all up, get glasses if glasses look good on you, get contacts it glasses dont. also you might want to consider the recurring cost of contacts when glasses are just like a "flat fee" i guess? haha aaaaaaand make sure you are comfortable with putting contacts ON your eye, some people dont really like that. well i hope i helped a little and my hole "emo glasses" spiel didnt confuse you too much.

I think most of the time glasses are really attractive. I'm weird like that. Really, it all comes down to the individual. Does the individual look good in glasses? Of course, the style of the glasses is also a factor.
