Hey Everyone :) I'm Kate and a level 2 mod on here. I've had this account since July 2004, so I've been on here since I was 13! Wow ... crazy for me to think how long ago that was. I will admit I don't check in as often as I once did, but being away at college, being in a sorority, and having a job when I'm not at school is very time consuming. I still try to help out as much as possible, and if you send me a question I WILL answer it. Hey, I think you give pretty good advice, and you live in NC so that'll help. I want to go to an out-of-state college, preferably in the mountain areas because I'm from Virginia, and I love the mountainy type of place. I'd like to go somewhere in NC, because it's close if I want to go home every other weekend, but it's far enough where I'll have my own space. What do you think are some nice places in NC for college? I would prefer something in the mountain type area, but something near the beach or just a super nice college would be okay too. Thanks in advance :D!!

Wow, what a coincidence, I've been searching colleges lately. A really nice one up in the mountains would be ASU (Appalachian State University) That's where I want to go. What do those two theatre masks stand for? I think in a previous question you said that you took theatre, so I thought that you would know. Thanks bunches.

Yeah, I had theatre last year, and drama in 7th grade. The masks mean comedy/tragedy. It originatred in Greek (or Greece or whatever) because that's where we got theatre from, and comedys and tragedies were most common (actually tragedies were, but whatever.) Hope I helped.

Hi, I'm a 14 year old, girl Freshman. Recently this guy moved to my school. He is a Senior and he rides my bus on the way to school and from school. After a few weeks of being here, he started to talk to me. He got me to write him notes and I only like him as a friend. But quickly after that he began asking personal questions like, "Are you a virgin?", "What have you done with guys?", or "Do you want another guy to do that to you?" He doesn't want me to go out with any other guy. He wants me to go out with him. It is getting really annoying. He is the most perverted guy I have ever met and everytime I wear a skirt he is always peeking up it! I can't stand him! Now he wants me to sit in the back of the bus in the morning so he can do stuff or whatever. I said, "No!" of course and made up an excuse. Then yesterday he told me to skip 3rd and 6th period at school so he can 'do' me ith the bathroom. I am only a virgin and he is 18 I think! I don't know what to do. I tell my guyfriends and they say 'smack him', but I'm not violent.

Tell your administrator or councilor or even the principle that this guy is sexually harassing you. Tell them what you've told us. There was this one girl who I thought was threatening to "beat me up" but it was a misunderstanding, but before I found that out my mom heard me talking to my sister and called the school, they had no proof or anything, but they had suspended her for making threats. I ended up getting her unsuspended, but they don't necisarrily need proof. Or do you have a officer at your school (we do even though we're a good school) if so then try to get him busted for drugs. If teachers/administrators have a reason to believe someone has a dangerous or illegal item with them then they CAN and WILL be searched. So if you know that he brings weed and/or other things to school then tell on him and get him busted. I know tattling is not the best idea, but this is for your own good. Tattling is telling that someone tripped you, but when someone does something that makes you uncomfortable like this then you need to speak up. Maybe get one of your guy friends to talk to him, or seriously tell a teacher or administrator or councilor. Hope I helped, sorry if I didn't.

Only if he got sperm on his finger, and then less than 24 hours later without washing his hands, he fingered you. But it's a VERY low possiblitity. If you mean can you get pregnant just from having oral or fingering, then no you can not unless some how sperm gets to your vagina. Good luck with that.

Well, I was on the way to school, and my girlfriend came up to me and said she likes another guy. So she is deciding whether to go out with me or the other guy. should I even still go out with her? should I like her anymore?

And risk her cheating on you? I say dump her. Dump her before she dumps you. If she has to try and decide, tell her that you'll make her desicion easier and you're out! Don't be with a girl that needs to think about her feelings for you, either she's worth it, or she isn't. She doesn't sound like she is.

So I got offered this easy babysitting job from a rich family down the street, and they are going to pay me 50 dollars an hour, BUT at the same time my BFFs birthday party is going on. She said it was OK if i went to go babysit.i don't want her to think i don't care but I really need the money!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, unless it's a sweet 16, or her 13th, or 15th (you can get your permit where I live at 15) or her 18th, or her 21st, you get it, the "Good Birthday" then it won't be as hard. If it was one of those "good birthdays" then money can wait that day is important to my friend. But if it's just she's 14, or she's 17, or she's 12 or 11 or something, then you can make a desicion.
How would you feel if she didn't go to yours.
Or maybe I doubt it's true that someone would pay that much for a babysitter when as whoever else it was that said it... they can get a nanny for cheaper. Maybe they meant $50 the whole time. But if it really is $50 an hour, then tell your friend you'll make it up to her by spending $50 just on her.
Like there's a popular, expensive, but REALLY REALLY REALLY nice restaurant in our local awesome mall (concord mills) and it's called macados. Well there's also an amc24 movie theatre in the mall. I don't want this to sound like a date because that's weird, so like maybe have a huge group of people meet, but...treat her to a movie, and then go out to eat but you pay. Like a birthday dinner and a movie. After I typed it, it sounded like a date, but since everyone else went to her party, you can gather up anywhere from 4-10 friends, or even more, all of ya'll see a movie, your gift is to pay for HER and YOU only, and then go out to eat afterwords, and you pay for YOU AND HER only. I know even if you're there for 3 hours or so, and you get $150 then you won't have enough for everyone you go with, and the more people the more fun!!

Or, if it is one of those sweet 16's, then GO TO THE PARTY, there will be other babysitting chances to earn money!!!!!!

Alright, this is sort of a random question, but I'm cleaning out my closet today, because I have WAY too many clothes. It's hard to find anything to wear because I have so much STUFF that I simply never wear...does anyone have a solution to this problem? Like, can you list out what a good amount of clothing to have is? For example, how many jeans you should have, how many tee-shirts, how many skirts, etc. Also, what's the remedy to this? I have so much clothing-but nothing to wear! Should I limit where I shop to like...2 or 3 certain clothing stores? HELP!

Well everyone pretty much gave an awesome answer so I'll just give you a little tip.
I think you should have atleast 7 pairs of jeans, at least 5 sweatpants, or just comfortable lounge pants, or like sweatpants you could wear during P.E (gym class) or whatever.
You should have twice as many shirts as you do jeans, at least. I'm not giving you the most amount you should have, but here's a tip.
Jeans, pants, and shorts should take up no more than a total of 4 drawers (1 drawer for each, and since pants take up a lot of room then just one extra drawer) shirts you should have no more than 4 (two drawers long sleeve,2 drawers shortsleeve) Ummm, that's about all I can think of Oh yeah, I just now noticed you also said skirts. Well, one skirt for each holiday (that you'd wear a skirt on) and then maybe 5 skirts, unless you like them better than shorts, or you like them better than jeans or something.

But, maybe no more than 25 bottoms (jeans, shorts, pants, skirts ...)
And no more than 25 tops (short sleave, cami, longsleeve, workout shirts...)
And then I'll leave the amount of undergarments for you to decide.

We had career day last year in 8th grade, and some lady from that place came. She was really nice. You don't need any experience, that's the point of them being a school. It's for acting, modeling, and other stuff. Just to let you know, they have no idea what you look like when they send those things. Everyone in our class submitted a piece of paper with our name and what we'd like to do. My best friend was chosen for modeling, they pretty much just randomly get your name (I know because this one really ugly girl was accepted, no offense to her) It's not a gimmik, I'm pretty sure all you pay for is the portfolio and then they do the rest. Just go to the audition and check it out. Have fun!!

Well, I think I know who this is, but if you are a stranger, then I'll still try and help as best as I can. I'm kind of confused, but there are 3 guys. 1 is totally cool, 1 is hot and from the mall, and the other is sweet and cute. Well I think the 3rd sounds good because it's a mixture of the 1st two. Sounds almost like my sisters boyfriend. He's sweet, he's cool, he isn't hot or anything, but he's okay looking (haha just messing Bry, you'r way sexier then that icon) But ummm, go with the sweetest one who will be most polite, and good looks is a plus :-) Ummm, I really don't know much about any of these guys. Are you comfortable going any further? Would you be comfortable giving him a handjob or giving/being on the recieving end of oral sex? If you're comfortable with it, then why not. What are the administators going to do about the bad adivce people? I mean peopel like... The Cardboard Samurai or the Russian Mailman person? these people obviously aren't even trying and feel many people feel even worse. They may think its funny but their advice can lead to peopel doing stupid things. Any one else worried? Are they going to be banned? There seems to be more of them everyday.

And because you just made this question they will continue. I'm not trying to be rude or mean, but as all of us moderators have said at one point or another, the more you give them attention, the more you give them what they want, and the more they do these things. If you have an issue file an abuse report. Someone has previously given you the link, so use it. And don't leave any comments in their inbox that are like this one. It will just make them want to do it more. There's a thing called freedom of speech and that is what they are getting. You have to realize that there are only so many of us, and there are plenty of them. The moderators can't ban every single person that gives rude advice. Again, I'm not trying to be rude or mean or anything, but the more you bring attention to it the more they want to do it. So you're just going to have to ignore it and pretend they aren't there. If it gets to a certain extent then eventually they are banned, or if there are enough abuse reports filed about them then they also have a chance of getting banned. But if you go to the sitemap or the faq then there will be a link for submitting any abuse. There's no harm, and the only people that know you're submitting is is the level 2 or 3 moderator that decides whether or not the person should be banned. how do you make yourself throw up? like i know you stick your finger down your throat but like ive tried that and it doesn't really work..like is there a cerant way to stick it down or anything..I'm not bulimic or anything I didn't feel good and i ate something and i felt like i had to throw up and i couldn't so i tried to make myself but it didn't work..thanks

Last year in health class we learned about ipecac, it's for when children swallow something poisenous. That stuff will make you throw up repeatedly all day. It's dangerous if you use it when it isn't reccommended by a doctor or poisen control person. Really just try to drink ginger ale or something to settle your stomach. Gagging your self doesn't usually work. A few people I know will stick a straw down their throat, but it chokes them. I was just sick this weekend with food poisening, it isn't fun. I wouldn't care if I had something that didn't agree with me, I wouldn't make myself throw up, I HATE throwing up!! Just try to drink something that will make your stomach feel better instead of trying to make yourself throw up.

okay i have a guy friend...hes nice and sweet but not liked very much at school...tonight he threatened to kill himself. im really scared b/c im not around him much at school and never after school...i care about him alot but sometimes dont show it very well. I'd say either bring it to a councilor, a trusted teacher, or any other trusted adult. Also just if and when you see him like someone else said give him a hug, let him know you care. If you search on google suicide or something like friend wants to commit suicide then a bunch of links will pop up. Or you can always have him call teen talk. The number is in my column, sorry, I don't know it by heart or anything. But really you should show the conversation to a parent or a councilor or a teacher, or just anyone that you can trust!!! You can get viruses from almost anything. There are viruses that have stuff to do with AOL or AIM or whatever. Like once I got that one virus that you click on that is in someones profile and it automatically deletes yours and it goes in your profile too. Like it'll say Look, I have an embarassing picture of %n (which is the screenname) and then you click becaue you want to see the picture but it's really a virus. Lucky for me I know how to delete those. But pretty much if you clink an unknown link from an unknown person then it's possible to get a virus. Don't click the link if you don't know the site.

What are some good revenge things for evil people?

Me and two friends had a mean substitute in chorus last year, her name was mrs. newell. Well we are allowed outside in that class, we saw a grasshopper and caught it. One of us got the teacher outside and away from the class, another one of us blocked the door and was sort of lookout, and then the other one of us put it in her soda. She drank it. Eventually one of the girls in the class told and we had to apologize, the substitute teacher still laughs about it though. We didn't get in any trouble and it was funny. There's a teacher I wanted to do it to this year, but she knows about the prank, she knows I hate her, she knows I want to do it to her, so I can't do it.
You could also order a bunch of pizzas to that persons house (I've done that too) and you can order some stuff off the tv and say that you'll pay when you get it, unless you know the credit card number (but I don't think that's legal)
You could T.P their house, and then wet down the toilet paper so it sticks and it's hard to get off. Or you could get a hold of pot or something, hide it in their yard, call the cops and tell them you were doing something in their yard and you found the weed (you could probably get easily busted for that too.)

A while back i posted a quuestion that my mom was forcing me to exerise.....And yet it continues. She brings me to the same place EVERY time. I exerise on my own ,yet she still forces me to exerise. What can i do to stop her from forcing me to exerise??

Let her know that you excercise on your own time, and if you over do it then you could pass out or something. You can't excercise all the time. As long as you do it 1 hour 4-5 days a week you're good. You don't need more than that, and if you get more than that then it is UNHEALTHY for you!!! Let her know that!!! If she doesn't make you do too much then suck it up, but if she really really really²²² makes you do it a whole lot, enough to the point you feel you'll pass out then tell her to back off. Sorry I'm not of much help, but good luck. Adults can be such ****** haha.

Does anyone reccommend any energy drinks or power bars that give you energy in a healthy way? Cuz I know that some energy drinks can be bad for you or make you really jittery and shaky.. does anyone have any reccommendations?? Thanks!!

I know this won't be very helpful, but I can tell you to stay AWAY from red bull. Red bull doesn't taste all that great, and even when mixed with other things can leave you jitter for over a day. When they say redbull gives you wings they mean it. I say only drink redbull if you have a paper to write, you're out of coffee and you're about to go to sleep, and only drink 1/4 of it, that stuff is STRONG! I know that I'm not of much help, but ummm, there are things called boost, I had to drink that stuff when I was anorexic, it gives you the vitamins or whatever stuff you need, and it is sort of an energy drink I guess. The only other thing I can think of is for weight loss, and I don't think it has anything to do with energy, but slimfast does taste good. Sorry I'm no help.
