You don't need any experience, that's the point of them being a school. It's for acting, modeling, and other stuff. Just to let you know, they have no idea what you look like when they send those things. Everyone in our class submitted a piece of paper with our name and what we'd like to do. My best friend was chosen for modeling, they pretty much just randomly get your name (I know because this one really ugly girl was accepted, no offense to her) It's not a gimmik, I'm pretty sure all you pay for is the portfolio and then they do the rest. Just go to the audition and check it out. Have fun!! [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]
SuddenlyFem answered Wednesday January 19 2005, 2:26 pm: You will go to their open call audition. And they will split the room up into two sections. There should be a man and women there anyways they decide who they want and dont want and they make it sound really good to. Then at the very end of the "audtion" they will say something like..." Now those of you who we accept will be invited to an orientation held in New york ( or some other city) and it only costs $650 and it goes on and on and on and in the end of it all you will not be a model. I went with a friend and it was bogus BS. Hope I have helped.... Then again I could be wrong you could always go, the open auditions are always free. hollaren answered Wednesday January 19 2005, 12:57 pm: be careful, don't get scammed or anything. i heard some where that if it's real and you won't need to pay anything the only thing you need is to have your head shots taken if they ask you for all kinds of money dont do it you'll lose your money and have nothing to show. girlygirl answered Wednesday January 19 2005, 12:53 pm: The open call is run like one would think, then they get to the sales pitch. Bascially, they want you to spend a lot of money on a portfolio and then they say they'll represent you. Basically, they are selling photo packages. But if you have alot of money to spend, eventually it will get you into the real modeling.
advicegurugirli answered Wednesday January 19 2005, 12:01 pm: I don't really know...is there a number on the postcard? You could call that number, or even mail to a mailing address if there is one. Don't fall for any "modeling scams"...this could be one. [ advicegurugirli's advice column | Ask advicegurugirli A Question ]
