Tips for memorizing lines..

So I'm in Drama 1 in my high school, and we have our first play coming up.
We're doing Snow White, and we just received our roles yesterday.
I'm really excited because I got a major role.
But I need some memorization tips..seeing as there are a lot of lines to remember.
Any tips would be great, thanks.

ok so i recently began to get interested in writing poetry. i have started to write one for my friend sam(girl)and i wanted to see if anyone here thought it was any good. maybe some constructive critisism. and any tips on how to become a better writer/poet. ok so heres the poem

I am a 13 female in Florida and i have been in 2 plays and have taken 1 acting class. I practice all the time; day and night. "I am a great actress", says everyone who has seen me act and myself. I just have ONE SIMPLE QUESTION.
WHERE DO I GET MY START AND HOW? I know this question has A MILLION answers instead of 1 but i have just gotten so many answers i'm confused. Everyone says "oh well it DEPENDS." Have i mentioned how much i HATE that word! =)
I would like to do movies by the way. So if you could help that would be FANTASTIC!

hey(: me and my friend are in drama in high school and we are putting on the musical thoroughly modern millie. we need two contrasting monologues (drama to comedy) and a song from a broadway production. the song should probably be from the 1920's or it should take place in the 1920's. is there anyone that could help us in our search because we are having some major difficulties. thank you so much!

Practice?

I REALLY want to practice my acting skills, but i don't know how. Do i just sit in my room and act or what? I don't have a script or monologue to do or anything. The only thing i do is practice an emotion in my room, but that's it and it gets BORING! What can i do by myself?

Humor Interp Memorization

I have this humor piece called "Happy Holidays from Anderson, Davis, Seton, and Fenner" by James Venhaus*. I am to memorize it by the first Speech meet on November 14th at the Sierra Open. How good do you think it would be and how can I memorize it for the tournament?
*It's a one woman show about a receptionist at a law firm who is trying to get through the last ten minutes of her shift before the holidays. She gets calls from rude clients, her boss, her mother, and her best friend. (I left the boyfriend out) Funny and heart-warming

What do i need to start my acting career? i am dedicated and passionate and i will stick with this career. how do i start and what do i need? Do i need to move to LA or CA? (I live in florida.) do i need an agent, if so who? do i need a permit?

I go through anime series pretty damn fast... and now I need another one to watch! Any recommendations? I've already seen Death Note, Sailor Moon, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzamya, D N Angel, Eureka 7, Elfin Lied, Fruits Basket, Ranma 1/2, Chobits, Wolfs Rain, Lucky Star, Blood+, Naruto, Cardcaptors, Mew Mew Power, Pokemon, Bleach, and Ghost Hunt. I'm sure there's more.. but I can't remember! Aaanyways.. I'm really into actionish romancy things. I get so involved..

Acting career

I want to persue a career as an actress (13) i'm pretty sure i'm devoted. But anyway, i've had a drama class in seventh grade and i was in the school play. I will be in the play this year also. I study actors/actresses very carefully to try to and pick up good techniques from them. So I have somewhat experience, but nothing like actually being on a movie set. QUESTION: What do you ABSOLUTELY need to know to become and actress? And some great techniques to use. Where do I get my start? I may know someone who has been in some plays but i'm not sure; so i have no BIG conections.
