Everyone reacts a little differently to stimulants. Drinks with ginseng and caffeine, for instance, cause some people to become jittery and shaky, but most people just get a little boost from them.
My best suggestion is to find something that sounds like it tastes good, read the ingredients, and see how you react to it. Keep track of the ingredients on anything that makes you jittery or shaky so you can figure out what it is that your sensitive too.
Other things to keep in mind:
* sugar and caffeine are common stimulants. They can make you "a little more hyper" too. :)
* making sure you are well nourished and are getting all your vitamins, minerals, and other essential nutrients is important in keeping energy levels up too.
Good Luck in your search for more energy. If you have questions about the ingredients in any of the drinks/bars you find, please don't hesitate to ask. :) [ dreamingkat's advice column | Ask dreamingkat A Question ]

Red bull doesn't taste all that great, and even when mixed with other things can leave you jitter for over a day. When they say redbull gives you wings they mean it. I say only drink redbull if you have a paper to write, you're out of coffee and you're about to go to sleep, and only drink 1/4 of it, that stuff is STRONG! I know that I'm not of much help, but ummm, there are things called boost, I had to drink that stuff when I was anorexic, it gives you the vitamins or whatever stuff you need, and it is sort of an energy drink I guess. The only other thing I can think of is for weight loss, and I don't think it has anything to do with energy, but slimfast does taste good. Sorry I'm no help. Karen answered Monday January 17 2005, 3:18 pm: Try drinking Hansens energy drinks. That's the only energy drink I know that's natural. Red Bull isn't that great; it makes me very hyper. Here's the Hansens energy drink website: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location). I don't know any power bars but you can go to a grocery store and you can find some there. Hope I helped :)
