okay so i saw this scene in a movie where the girl chugged like a huge bottle of volka or something and she was drunk like asap, like right when she finished..does that actually happen in real life? like right after you chug something your drunk right away or does it take time and how much time?
like i dont plan on doing this im just wondering because i know i have to do a project on drinking this coming year and this was a question i had, thankss. (link)

It would take a little time. She wouldn't
be that drunk immediately. As a matter
of fact chugging that much alcohol all
at once could kill a person.

Rightho, I've been on the pill for 21 days now, and am now on a break. First, I may as well tell you I've been taking it pretty much exactly the same time each day and to the letter of the instructions, which are:
*Take a pill on the first day of your period, and take it for 21 days. Then take a break for seven days. You should have a lighter and shorter period within these seven pill-free days.
I'm not too worried, as I have taken all 21 pills and I'm on my break of 7 days - but I'm on the third day and still no period. My period normally lasts about 8 days, but when i started taking it it lasted a full 10 days and was much heavier.
Is this lack of a period simply the way my body is reacting to the pill in the first few months?
Me and my boyfriend have had sex, but it has been protected with a condom as well as the pill this month. Could I be pregnant?
During these seven pill free days I was advised its fine to have unprotected sex; so me and my boyfriend yesterday decided to try it. Because he wasn't lubricated enough it was quite painful for him, so we'll be investing in some, and we never finished - I mean, he didn't come in me.
I know pre-come could contain some sperm, but as I'm on the pill, I'd think considering the one time I did have unprotected sex, he didn't even finish, it would be unlikely I was pregnant.
I'm sorry for bothering you!

I don't think you have anything to worry
about. It says in the instructions "You
should have a lighter and shorter period
within these seven pill-free days." It is
also possible you can skip one.
If you are really worried though, a quick
call to the doctors office will help. Just
ask to talk to your doctors nurse. She can
let you know if its a problem. :)

i get weird when a guy wants to make out when people are around like at a house,park,or with friends around.I feel like their watching and judging me like i'm a bad person or something.When i see people make out around me it's awkward.Small pecks are fine,but making out around people is awkward for me.I feel like making out should be a private thing.So when a guy tries to kiss me,i like tense up and dont want to kiss,when i really do just not when people are around,am i weird in thinking that?? because i feel like the only one lol

pretty rude if you think about it. It
should be done in private. So I don't
think you are at all wierd for not wanting
to.
In public, hand holding, arm around you,
and as you said a quick kiss. Everything
else is private.
Just let the guys you date know this.

i asked you a question before about painful sex, the one where i talked about the 7-17 day intervals. I don't know if i wasn't be clear or what, but, like it is only sore the first time we have sex after the intervals, and then the second and third times are fine. we can't have sex frequently because of our lifestyles. We busy people. :) so now what?? i think my hymen has broken, because i bled the first time and its ok now, i don't bleed anymore.

Use a good lubricant. You can get KY jelly
or any of the generic brands at walmart,
or any drug store. That should help.
It might be that the fist time after waiting
so long he may jump to it before you are as
ready as you could be. After that first time,
You're both more relaxed. :)

Don't need to make a habit of taking them
but they are a far site better than taking
sleeping pills. You only need take them
until your body gets its sleep pattern back
in sync. The cheap generic brand works just
as well.

i woke up this morning and i felt fine, maybe 4 hours later, i began feeling dizzy (my head felt all heavy and i couldn't walk so straight), and then i felt fine again, this keeps happening,this whole day. i keep feeling all dizzy and nauseous and then i feel fine. this keeps happening, its been 6 hours now. i had sex on tues, which is 5 days ago. So could i be pregnant??
my mouth feels all tasteless and stuff. Keep feeling nauseous and then, not... this is the first time i'm experiencing this, and i have had sex before, and always with a condom.

Its very doubtful that you are having
these symptoms because of pregnancy.
Not that it isn't possible that you
are, but the first sign of pregnancy
is missing your period. Other symptoms
develop after about 5 weeks. So I am
going to guess you are just sick. :)

we love each other a lot but the thing is that she is my first love but i am not her first love... and i know almost everything bout the kind of relationship she had with the other guy for bout 1 year includind the physical contact which didnt include sexual intercoarse.. its just that he had removed her shirt a couple of times .. if you know wat i mean .. and no oral sex at all

I would hope that if you ever do
marry her in the future, you would
be grown up enough to realize that
its a pretty lame thing to even be
thinking about. This all happened
before she even met you!
Just because you marry someone it
doesn't mean the special attraction
is over. You certainly don't start
bringing past events into the present.
Go look at a girlie magazine. Its
about the same crime. :)

Is it better to pop a blister or leave it to heal by it's self. My trainer told me to tear the skin, drain it, and keep it clean and covered but it just seems like it would be better to heal itself.

I was always told (have worked for doctors)
that you never pop a blister. The fluid
it is surrounding itself with is what is
keeping it protected. Natures bandaid!
Sometimes they will break on their own
just because of where they are located.
Your heel for example.
If that is the case then maybe your trainer
thinks breaking the blister and covering it
is better than it breaking, leaving you
with an open blister until you can get to
a place where you have the supplies to take
care of it. :)
If it does break, or you decide to break
it on your own, use the instructions Cux
gave in his answer. It will heal eventually
either way. You just want to avoid infection. :)

The studies that claim antibiotics interfere
with birth control pills is pretty old. Its
one of those things that is difficult for
them to get test subjects for!
In the study, of the women that got pregnant
while on birth control pills, taking
antibiotics was something all these women
had done.
I really doubt you are pregnant, you have
been on the pill for a while. It can't
hurt to call your doctors nurse and ask
your doctors opinion, just for peace of
mind. :)

Most important I think is to get up
early and start going in places you
might like to work and filling out an
application. Don't wait until noon to
make the rounds. Most managers and
those you want to talk to are there
and available during the morning
hours. Better chance of getting that
job.
of course if the place isn't open
early be there when they open.
Don't just go to a couple of places.
Make a list and go apply at all. You
have a better chance of being called
back by at least one place.
Don't even apply dressed in your
favorite ratty jeans and ripped
T-shirt. Be prepared just in case
the manager would like to talk on
the spot. If they really need someone,
they could interview you that very day.
Doesn't happen often but it does happen.
Fill out the application right then and
there and return it. Don't just give it
to the clerk working there either. Ask
if the manager is available and give it
to him/her. Find out if they plan to hire
new employees soon.
If you know a place is hiring, call back
2 or 3 days after handing in your
application. Let them know you are eager
to start work! :)

So, a couple week's ago, I was reading in Seventeen about a girl who had a mental disability, and in the corner of the next page, theres a little red box that said " Could you have a hidden disorder?"( This is the February 2008 issue, the one with Vanessa Hudgens on the cover.) One of the disorders is Social Anxiety Disorder...where you have continious fear of being judged, watched, humiliated, or embarresed, and it makes it hard for you to get through day to day activities. As soon as I read it, I felt that i may have this disorder...Heres what made me feel like I may have it....
When I'm walking through the halls at school, what's always on my mind is what all the people around me are thinking of me...what there thinking of my skin, my hair, my clothes, my body...weather they think im fat or gross, or my clothes are ugly, and I HATE walking through the hall's. Even when I'm walking out in public, and I pass a complete stranger, I cant help but think, when they looked at me, what they were thinking...weather im ugly, fat, what they thought of just...me. It's sometimes even hard for me to eat in public, cause I think that everyone is watching me eat.
I tend to get embarresed easily. It seems like everything that I do I get embaressed doing it. I get embarresed walking into a room. Weather it's at school, church, with my family, my boyfriends family, my friends house. Anywhere.
I seem very very....self concious...I guess...I dont like to show my body much cause I'm afraid of what people will think..weather something on me is to big, or if my skin is too light, stuff like that. When I'm swimming, I get so embarresed when I strip down to my swim suit, and when im walking, I put my hands in front of my sthomach, I try to cover my thighs,any part of my body that I'm not comfortable with, I try to cover it up. It even makes me skip out on going swimming sometimes. A couple weeks ago my boyfriend invited me to go swimming with his family,and I told him that I didnt want to go. He didnt understand why,and i didnt want him to think that i was fishing for compliments on my body,so i just told him it was my monthly time. Everytime that I walk, and i look at my legs, all i see is the fat on them, everytime i look at my sthomach, all i see is the fat. and im afraid of what people would think, so i try to cover it up with my clothes. I dont like living like this. I know that teens are suppost to be a little self concious...but is it suppost to be this bad?
could I really have this disorder?

Everyone has come across situations that
make them uneasy or embarrassed. Its normal.
Its not a problem, they overcome their fear
and get on with things. A certain amount of
anxiety isn't a bad thing. It keeps us out
of trouble sometimes.
It actually becomes a disorder that needs
medical treatment when it keeps you from
doing things. The fear of being in public
is so terrifying that you just cannot
function well.
You go out to school, visit friends, have a
boyfriend, go shopping & visit the boyfriends
parents. You are fine. Probably some social
anxiety, which is normal. Nothing that is
really a "disorder". :)

Pregnant women can and do have root canals. Having a root canal does require a small x-ray, but the radiation exposure is very minimal and the x-ray is aimed at the mouth, not the abdomen area. If you are pregnant and your dentist needs to give you an x-ray, he will use a lead apron to cover your belly. The anesthetics that dentists use are also safe for pregnant women.

i have had sex a couple of times now and there are like 7-17 day intervals, and when we have sex it is painful. apparently chinese people have really tight vaginas, and that is why it is painful everytime they have sex, i don't want painful sex for the rest of my life, i understand that guys like the tightness and all, but i don't!! because everytime we do it it is so sore!! and straight after the sex, my vagina is still kind of sore, i don't know what is going on and WHY!! makes me so frustrated!

vaginas any tighter than the rest of the
world.
If sex is painful, see a doctor. It
shouldn't be. You may have a thick
hymen that hasn't completely been
torn. Whatever the reason it is not
normal. Please see your doctor.

I have 3 brothers and im the only girl. And about ten years ago i was molested by my oldest brother and we was taken away to juvy then a group home. But when i was about 12 about 5 years ago he came to live with us because we were moving from california to florida and my dad didnt want to leave his son there but i wanted to. My dad thought he learned a lesson but he never did because he still kept doing it and now at my house here for almost 4 years i've had to use two locks so he wont get in. he's almost 22 and still lives with us. I feel like my dad loves him more because he never yells at him but always at me. I feel like my parents dont love me at all. My secong older brother has a girlfriend and i feel like my parents like her more by the way they treat her and the way they treat me. I just don't know what to do and im 17 about to star my senior year. And i just think that if my parents loved me my oldest brother wouldnt be living with us so that i wouldnt have to lock my door until i move out because hes almost 22 and doesnt have a life no girlfriend or friends at all. Calmly talk to your parents. There is no
reason on earth your 22 year old brother
should be living in your house.
IF they refuse to do anything or make
like you are just paranoid. Talk to
a counselor at school, If you go to
church ask advice from your minister.
If you have a trusted Aunt close by
talk to her...any older relative who
might possibly take you in.
You shouldn't have to live in fear.
Your parents are absolutely wrong
in this situation. I don't say that
often. You don't endanger one child
by having keeping another who is a
problem around.

I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend but it wasnt long. not even 5 minutes because i pushed him off of me. It has been three weeks and my stomach has been kind of cramping, my boobs are sore, and feel swollen. I am due for my period soon..could this just be PMS symptoms? Probably is PMS. Same symptoms. You probably
are not pregnant if you've had two negative
test results.
I do want to tell you that "time in" does NOT
matter. Do not even fall for the "let me put it
in for just a minute routine." One little sperm
finding its way to an egg is all it takes!
If he wants (and you to,of course) anywhere near
your vagina. He MUST be wearing a condom. Guys
can't get pregnant so they don't always quite
understand the risk. Protect yourself. :)
