I have gone from younggrandma to just yg. Now,
I am using my real name.
I don't think anyone who knows me will have trouble figuring out who that is!

I have been gone a while dealing with things in my own life. I am back now to help once again. Do not expect answers from me that just tell you what you want to hear. Life is to short for nonsense. :)

i was born with a neck tumor or growth and had surgery and was lucky to survive well the surgery made my right side of my neck/undermy chin area not as fatty as the left side. Well now im 16 and i found a bump and i keep getting random pains over there but i dont want to go to the doctor cuz i went 2 years ago for the fear of having it back and it was just a swollen lyph node and i dont want to waste time and money going back and it being nothing.
anything i can do or whatever idk i just need help :(
and i cant compare the lyph node sizes or anything because one side is fattier making it hard to do so.
the bubble is hard to spot i have to rub a round a bit until it pops up.
doesnt hurt to touch tho. (link)
For your peace of mind go to the doctor
and get it checked out. Believe me, nobody
will fault you for doing so. They will
understand your concern.

While there ask the doctor how to tell
the difference between a swollen lymph
node and a possible problem growth.

Write down anything you might want to
know so you don't forget to ask something.
Remember no question is to stupid! They
will answer them all for you. If you don't
understand something, tell them so.

Go to the doctor. You will feel better.
If its nothing that's wonderful! If it
is something, early detection is important.
You can't lose by spending that money.

Best of luck. :)

I didnt know if this should go in the sex or health category so I hope its right.

Anyway, I plan on phoning my local sexual health clinic tomorrow about being put on the the birth control pill. My boyfriend will be coming with me.

My main concern is that I do not want my parents to know, I know the clinic can't tell my parents, but I mean, is there anyway my parents can work it out for themselves??

Like.. A change in my period cycle or something?!

Any info would be GREAT!
(link)
Your parents won't know unless you tell them.
IF you are paying for the clinic yourself.
If you use your parents insurance it will
list any tests you had. If you are going
to a free clinic or pay out of pocket, you
are good.

Ok so there is this boy in my class and i think he likes me becuase everytime i turn around he is always staring at me and when i look at him he always gets a big smile on his face. now if you know me i am a very shy person so please dont tell me to go up to him and ask him if he likes me becuase i dont do that kind of stuff. so i need help on finding out ifhe likes me for sure, becuase i like him! (link)
It sounds like he likes you to me.

I know you are shy but the only way
you will know for sure is if he tells
you himself. Don't play the send a
friend to ask him game.

Put yourself in situations where you
are close enough to him for him to talk
to you. Sooner or later you will no for
sure.

the guy i honestly love i cant be with =[ because he has a bad drug problem i wanna help him, we dated for 3 years and finnally he had a bad drug tripp and hit me =[ we broke up after that, he tells me he misses me and that he loves me but i cant be with him if hes still on drugs
how can i help him (link)
The problem is you can't help him.
He has to help himself. So long as
he isn't doing that he is no good
for you. You know that.

Just let him no that you will never
date a guy who loves his drugs more
than you. He will claim that isn't
true but you know better.

In the end he will help himself or
continue on the way he has been. I
think your best bet is to move on.
Drugs will win in 9 cases out of 10.
Its sad for him, but his life to
destroy.

Just don't let him talk you into
destroying yours too. You would be
hurt so bad in any relationship with
this guy. So don't look back until you
know for certain he has been in rehab
and out and off drugs for a while before
you even consider him again.

I'm 17 years old and was adopted a little over 10 years ago by people I love very much. I can't help but wonder, though, about my real family. I have so many questions I want to ask them and I just want to know who they are. I'm not necessarily looking for a relationship - I don't think I could ever even consider calling them mom or dad, but I just have so many thoughts going on.
I'm afraid of hurting my parents - my adopted parents, that is. I don't want to tell them that I want to search for my birth parents because I don't want to upset them. I'm happy that they adopted me and even though we don't always get along, I know I have a better life here than I would have.
Would I be hurting my parents too much if I tell them I want to search for my birth parents? Should I just give up and try to forget about it?
I don't know what I'd say if I found my biological parents, I just feel like it's something I need to do, but I don't want to hurt my mom or dad.
HELP?! (link)
I don't think it would hurt your parents
if you looked for your bio parents. I'm
sure they would understand. They may even
have info you could use in your search.

If you were adopted a little over 10 years
ago then they didn't adopt you as an infant.
I'm sure they are even expecting you to have
questions.

Assure them that you love them and that
you aren't seeking that in wanting to know
your bio parents.

There are important things to be learned from your bio parents. Medical history is good to
know.

What you would say if you found them, you
will have to see what happens. You parents
may be able to help with that.

My brother-in-law recently found his birth
father using Search Angels. They help for free
and are everywhere! For more info on them...

if i drink a lot for my first time will i be out of it and not know whats going on if someone trys somthing with me? (link)
If you drink a lot ANYTIME it could easily
cause you to allow someone to take advantage,
and possibly not even know it.

It depends on how much you drink. Beer is
alcohol just like anything else. Drink enough
and you get real stupid. ANY alcoholic beverage
will get you drunk beyond reason if you drink
enough of it.

If you are a small person you will get drunk
on less. If you haven't eaten much, you will
get drunk on less.

So, the correct answer to your question is
Yes. If you drink a lot your first time, its
very likely that you won't know whats going
on. And its very dangerous.

is it normal if you never have had an orgasm, and i have been sexually active for two years?

(link)
It is not at all uncommon. I have found you a
good article on the subject, written by doctors.

It says that while men have orgasms almost
every time, woman have to teach themselves
to have them. I hope it helps you to see
that you are not alone!

i`m from japan
i`m in love with some one in is already married (link)
Its never good to get involved with a married
person. You will get hurt in the long run.
The married person in unavailable. If they
do cheat on their spouse with you, they are
not going to be trustworthy.

My advice is to keep your distance. You will
just get hurt.

heyyy

i just was wondering what you can get from giving head i no its STDS, but how do you no if you have got something from giving head.do yuo have to go to the doctors or can you just get something without any1 knowing. (link)
This info is from http://www.stanford.edu/group/SHPRC/ch4_ora.html

Should you get an STD you would have to be
treated by a doctor. Please remember even
when the risk is small, it can still happen.

Many people are unclear on the risks associated with oral sex. Questions about oral sex and the risk of contracting an STD are very common in outreaches and at the SHPRC. Many people engage in unprotected oral sex, and are particularly concerned with the risks associated with not using protection.

What are the risks:

* Herpes is probably the biggest STD risk during oral sex. Both strains of herpes can live in the mouth or the genitals, and particularly during outbreaks (cold sores, herpes lesions) can be passed from one place to the other. Many people have oral herpes, more than 50% of a random group of people will have antibodies to the virus (indicating some level of infection). Having oral herpes for most people is no big deal, a cold sore during times of stress or illness is usually little more than an annoyance. Genital herpes can be more complicated and uncomfortable, but there are treatments (see Herpes Fact Sheet for more info). Care should be taken so that oral herpes are not passed to anyones genitals. In general it is not a good idea to have unprotected oral sex while any
lesions are present.

* Chlamydia and gonorrhea can infect your throat, strep like symptoms, and are curable with antibiotics. These can also infect the eye, and though rare, eye infections can have serious consequences, so be careful with fluids.

* HIV can be passed through unprotected oral sex, but it is more likely to be passed during unprotected penetrative sex. The infected semen/precum or vaginal fluid must enter the body through a cut or sore in the mouth or esophagus. The virus is unlikely to be passed from a persons mouth to another persons genitals.

* HPV can be passed during oral sex, but it is rare. HPV has been found on vocal chords.

* Syphilis can be passed similar to HIV. Syphilis is curable.

* Hepatitis A is a risk particularly in oral-anal sex, and people engaging in this unprotected might want to look into getting a Hep A vaccine. Hep A is not a chronic condition like Hep B and C, but can make a person quite sick several weeks.

I'm 16 and like in cook county Illinois. In the last month I've gotten two speeding tickets. One was 58 in a 35, and the other was 48 in a 30. I have court October 3rd and 7th. Does anyone have any advice on how to fight these, or a smart way to go about handling these tickets. (link)
All you can do is pay the fine and be
polite. You could easily loose your license
if you get to many tickets. Don't give the
judge an excuse for doing that this time.

hello,
i just wondering if you can get ill, example being sick and dizzy spells, i swallowed his cum, he penis tasted funny he later told me sprayed his penis i also noticed his penis was rough at the side but then it could been my lipstick, could this mean that ive just got a bad gut pains, would this normal?

thanks (link)
No it isn't normal. It may just be a coincidence.
However the majority of the male population
doesn't spray their penis with anything. It
could be whatever that was that is making you
sick.

Tell him not to do that anymore. A shower
beforehand is good enough.

PS i am a 13 year old girl

So at night I like to talk to my crush on IM. We only talk to like 10:30 on school nights, but my parents don't think i should be allowed to be on the computer at night, something about how my siblings weren't ever allowed to have the laptop in their room. They don't know that I am talking to my crush, who is moving at the end of the year; i NEED to talk to him. My grades aren't suffering, i still get up early every day, but they keep hinting that they wont let me talk on IM at night anymore. how do i deal with them??

katwashala (link)
Maybe you ask them if you can talk to him
for a while from your laptop in the kitchen,
or other room they can supervise you from?

You see the fact that they don't know who
you are talking to or why, is the very reason
they don't allow it.

If you REALLY need to talk to him, be honest
with your parent and just ask. Once they see
you aren't up to any shenanigans they may
just see that they can trust you to IM at
night a little. :)

She threw up blood today and I don't know how to help her. I need some advice. (link)
Throwing up blood is not good. It is an
emergency. Tell her parents or a trusted
adult about now.

She may be mad at you for a while but she
will get over it when she is well again.
She will see you did it for her own good.

Bulimia and anorexia can have life threatening
consequences. Please tell someone about
this.

i have a cold sore. it hurts sooooo bad, and it's made my lip so huge and puffy. and i can't talk, and i can only eat liquids from a straw because i cant open my mouth far enough. i am seriously in tears because it hurts so bad and everyone keeps making fun of me saying i have herpes and stuff, and it really hurts my feelings. but what im more worried about is the pain and puffiness. how do i at least make it stop hurting as much, and if possible can i make it smaller over night. please help me, it hurts so bad. (link)
Ask you mom if she has any alum. It is
a pickling spice. It is a powder. It is
also VERY sour. But it will fix you up
overnight. Just a little dab on the cold
sore. :)

I just started concerta or something for ADD today. i am having really bad headaches is taht normal the firrst few days? (link)
I'm not sure. Drugs have a lot of side effects.
It could be one or it could be coincidence.
If you still have a headache tomorrow, call
the doctors office and ask the nurse for
advice. Your doctor may want to try another
medication for you.

i don't wanna know the risks.. && yahdy yahda.
if you fall down the stirs when you are pregnant, &&the baby dies.

1)how can you tell?
&&
2)do you just leave it there, or how does it go away?

i'd prefer answers other than "go to a doctor" caz i know that's really the answer, but without a doctor, is there any way of telling. (link)
Well there is a lot of bleeding involved.
You could actually bleed to death if you
don't see a doctor or emergency room.

You can tell because of all the blood loss.

Sometimes miscarriage doesn't expel everything.
A docotr will determine weather or not you
need a D&C procedure done to clean you up.
Not doing this can cause life threatening
infection.

ok so ive had a crush on this guy and he dosent even no i exist so is there anyway that i can get his attention and get him to ask me out? (link)
-
You will probably have to talk to him to
get him to notice. Start small by just smiling
at him and saying hi. If that doesn't work,
then ask him about homework in a class you
share or something like that. :)

I'm a 19 year old female who will be transfering to a 4 year college next fall, meaning I will be applying for a transfer this october. I currently live with my parents near S.F. in California and have been planning for at least 4 months to transfer to San Bernardino State in Southern Cal. My parents have been conservative and overprotective since the day I was born and recently decided they are not allowing me to go 700 miles away from home for school. Since making my decision I have had my heart set on it and now don't know what to do. Should I just apply anyways and hope they change their minds? If I get accepted should I just go anyways? Or should I just choose another college that is close enough for my parents to bear with? (link)
-
I think you apply to all colleges that
YOU want to go to.

At 19 some of those decisions that have to
do with your life should be yours to make.

It can be hard for some parents to let go
and realize their child has grown up! They
would miss you if you went far from home.
In the long run though, I think it would
actually be good for all of you.

So apply to the colleges of your choice.
Then go to work trying to make them
understand that while you respect and
value their opinions, this is one that
YOU need to make for yourself. :)

i am a 30 year old male who is struggling to figure out which direction i should go.

some background:
i have a high school education and have been to some college classes, but have dropped out twice. i have had more jobs than i can recall, in many different "fields", and therefore my resume looks like a patchwork quilt. i have just started a "job" that i really don't like, but i was unemployed for most of the summer and was unable to find work mostly due to my spotty resume. i was working a seasonal job last fall/winter that i actually enjoyed, but is only available 6 months a year. to further complicate things, i *may* be offered a temporary position that would make me very happy, but would ruin my current job and the seasonal job i might go back to.

basically, since i have nothing solid to fall back on, i'm constantly struggling with what makes me happy and what pays the bills (link)
Keep in mind that after doing seasonal work
for a while (and I'm not sure how long), you
can draw unemployment in the off season. That
may help in your decision making.

Many a temporary job has led to a permanent
job as well. If you do well and they like you,
they are going to try and keep you on if its
at all possible.

Now that really helps doesn't it? Probably
gave you even more to think about!

Do what makes you happy. Its hard to get up
and go to work everyday if you can't stand
your job. :)
